Without immigrant entrepreneurs, we lose one of the main benefits of immigration, which is that the kinds of people willing leave everything behind and come to this country are also often the kinds of people with the gumption to start businesses. In the case of tech companies, the new businesses disrupt existing industries and create new industries, helping the U.S. avoid stagnation and keep its competitive edge.

What's stopping them from starting a business in their own country? Most of the time nothing. The 3rd world needs their own geniuses to pull them out of their poverty.

Secondly, entrepreneurs are rare. For every Brin and Musk you have hundreds of gimmiegrants who eat up any wealth created by immigrant entrepreneurs.
