I'm looking to publish in the area of constitutional law and I'm amazed at how every journal pushes essentially identical leftist ideology. Almost all academics (in law) at prestigious institutions are just different shades of liberal - evident from their publication lists, with the most awarded and celebrated academics being the staunchest liberal ideologues.

It seems as if legal intellectual disagreement is confined to narrow crevices of leftist thought.

Journals indicate a strong trend of 'rightsification' and entitlement (every developmental tool is now a right). Depravity guised as liberty. All the ills highlighted and discussed here.

Even if I do author a great counter-argument which gets published it will likely destroy any hopes of an academic career or future funding. To compound the issue, tenure is a myth in 2017 so it's not as if restraint gets rewarded with a platform ultimately.

The system truly is against us!

I hope your ideas can find success outside of academia. Colleges are grappling with an existential crises of their own brewing now that their ideology is out of runway. Being accepted by academia but finding no true success with your ideas is a curse itself, just ask any adjunct.

When institutions pay lecturers 6 figures to create their own little world and instill ideas into young minds don't be surprised those bullshit ideas come back to haunt the society which promotes it.

I've pretty much stopped following academics for my work unless I know them personally or if they are from a conservative institution.
