Didn't realize the guy was sick. His skit with rick James was gold. His style was completely different from his brother, but he was still talented despite living in his brothers shadow for so many years.

Love Charlie Murphy. When he did those stories on Chappelle's show it was like nothing ever on TV. Very very sad. Now he can ball with Prince and eat pancakes forever. RIP.

I had never heard of him until The Chappelle Show, and I have to say, what a blessing that show was for Charlie Murphy - and deservedly so.

When I saw him on the Rick James episode, aside from laughing myself to tears, I got a sincere sense of respect and humility he had towards his brother and those he was roasting on his show. He clearly had no envy, only pride in his brother's accomplishment, and he showed gratitude and loyalty along the way. Just an all round cool and funny dude, the kind we need more of in Hollywood.

I wished more of his stuff had been put out, because with the right direction (like Dave Chappelle), he could really shine.

From what little I read he seemed like a decent family man too.

Damn, all this time I thought Charlie Murphy was Dave Chappelle's doppelganger or some CGI shit. No idea this was another nigga. Then for a moment I thought that was Dave's brother.

He was equally funny, masculine and likeable - a rare combination in Hollywood. He should have been promoted way more, but I guess they prefer degeneration or non-masculine men now.

Dave Chappelle show is one of my favorites.
