RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
http://freebeacon.com/national-security/...rth-korea/
Chinese policy document shows that China is secretly supporting North Korea's nuclear program and faking the sanctions.
Quote:China's Communist Party adopted a secret plan in September to bolster the North Korean government with increased aid and military support, including new missiles, if Pyongyang halts further nuclear tests, according to an internal party document.
The document, labeled "top secret" and dated Sept. 15—12 days after North Korea's latest underground nuclear blast—outlines China's plan for dealing with the North Korean nuclear issue. It states China will allow North Korea to keep its current arsenal of nuclear weapons, contrary to Beijing's public stance that it seeks a denuclearized Korean peninsula.
Chinese leaders also agreed to offer new assurances that the North Korean government will not be allowed to collapse, and that Beijing plans to apply sanctions "symbolically" to avoid punishing the regime of leader Kim Jong Un under a recent U.N. resolution requiring a halt to oil and gas shipments into North Korea.
The article appears to show that China's agreement with NK would eventually lead to de-nuclearization, but only at some point in the future when the "time is right", which basically means never.
I first saw this linked on Instapundit this morning, then went to check just now to see if it was fake news. It still appears as a current news story.
I suspect Trump will come out pretty hard core over this. I would think he's discussing right now with his advisors to work on having South Korea, Japan and Taiwan develop nuclear weapons of their own. I think China's going to be very unhappy with trying to outsmart Trump at the table like this.

RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
What "red-bellied communists"? China is basically where we'll be in 10-20 years: cashless society (see India and Sweden today), ever-shrinking middle class (while China's still expanding), cyber-control and citizen rating systems, with freedoms like travel rights, access to guns or to your savings conditional on your citizen behavior profile.
Does this sound paranoid? Consider Roosh's travel ban, UK, Canada for now, soon to be EU. In 5-10 years, you will have AI screening and rating all your online and IRL activity, assigning everyone a profile "score", and a no-fly list growing ever bigger...
If anything, China's version of technocratic socialism will be less demolished by cultural marxism, and they still won't have much immigration.

RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
This story is from way back in 2015 but belongs in this thread:

Quote:Israel 'exported gold to North Korea'
By Afp
Published: 15:49 GMT, 10 December 2015 | Updated: 15:49 GMT, 10 December 2015
Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gold has been exported from Israel to North Korea despite a UN ban, an Israeli parliamentary committee said Thursday. The Knesset's economics committee said it would tighten restrictions on trade with the authoritarian state after learning that $400,000 of gold was exported after a 2006 UN ban. David Houri, an Israeli tax official, told a committee hearing Wednesday the gold was traded in the years after the ban was introduced, Israeli media reported. Specific details were not released but other banned goods have also been exported in recent years, he was quoted as saying. Spokesman Lior Rotem confirmed to AFP that the committee had taken new "steps to implement" the 2006 ruling. The new restrictions prohibit the export of many luxury goods to North Korea, while the economy ministry will also more carefully scrutinise export licenses. Trade with North Korea of precious metals, among many other goods, was banned by a Security Council Resolution imposed due to the state's attempts to obtain nuclear weapons.

The difference between red bellied commies and the grand 'ol USA is the pride of an individual towards their freedom, expression and their ability to think ahead/as an individual.
The Commies think as a group and if that fails its a smaller group dominating the rest through overt means. China was smarter than the USSR and smarter still than Russia.
China turned itself into "you buy now!" rather than polarise the world against it. Russian communism is a select few gangsters enriching themselves. In China its more or less what you can do for the regime and you are then allowed to do whatever you want and get rich off of it.
Problem being for most chinese people - they're peasants and only useful for mass employment at the lower end of the spectrum and liveleak videos showing how much they don't matter like some disposable cog.
South China Sea is going to be a hot topic for the rest of the century but in the end the banksters and commercial entities are getting fat off of that country and as long as they are happy the world will tick along.
The US will find it very hard to slip into that way of thinking. And by very hard I mean a few million dead on both sides kind of hard.

Pyongyang has frozen their nuke program and been brought to the table to discuss handing them over.

Are you from the future?
I have the feeling Kim Jung is going to go down as the “savior” of North Korea when Pres Trump convinces him of the great relationship they could have.
NK will open up in gradual stages and so on NK will not just save face but KJU will end up looking great to his people.
For instance, his nuclear program was about demanding and getting respect from the US and now that he has it, the prosperity will come.
We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Trump's constant haranguing of Kim Jong-Un has led to nuclear war between North Korea and the western powers, and eradicated all life on earth.
Oh wait, no it hasn't.
Another magic wand he has that Obama, no doubt, did not.

This is huge news, but no doubt he MSM is more likely to run non stop coverage of pornstar THOTs and Trump.
This likely means that the massive artillery on both sides will be moved away and that DMZ turned into a formal regular border.
I just hope the West does not try to fuck it up somehow by screwing up the negotiations. I like how Trump is being positive right now. That is super helpful.
Still have to see if the ink will dry, but so far so good.

RE: North Korea Conflict Thread
We'll all have to see how Kim Ju-ae, Jong-un's daughter, will do on the world stage, since she's most likely to become President once JU either dies or gets too old to rule NK anymore. That won't happen for another 40 years or so.
Will she continue the Juche shit, or will she further open NK to the outside world?

I haven't seen any definitive evidence, but that does make sense given the quick 180 from Kim.
If that is true, that is raw as fuck.
