First of all - DBG - if you block someone, then that someone can no longer return your PMs, but I don't view the JP issue as very important. I said that I don't think that he is a deliberately evil guy.

And I would not call his daughter disabled - she just has some serious physical issues.

Still - the statement of her hallucinating after a meal of soybeans is an extreme one and borders on the psychotic.

I would not go further than that regarding her. She certainly seems to have had a tough life and does not appear too be doing that bad - half-naked pics on Instagram are bad taste in our circles but not the end of the world.

The other question is why anyone should care so much about JP? Some people venerate Richard Dawkins or Sam Harris - I have no beef with people who like those guys.

Vox Day is a self obsessed douche bag who gives the rest of us autists a bad name.

It's hard to escape noticing that regular forum members here make more salient arguments against Peterson than the Dark Lord (ugh) himself can manage to scrape together.

His message would be considerably more potent if he just plagiarised the content here, but I believe he's so narcissistic that the surest way to deny him a talking points is to make it first, because he would never admit that someone came up with a valid idea before he did.

That's why he's reduced to making ridiculous claims that Peterson running away from a bully as a child is evidence that he's a coward (he may be, but that's shit evidence).

Vox Day is desperate to have unique ideas but all the best ones are usually taken. Hence he needs to come up with whackadoo nonsense claims and once they're birthed he need only protect them rabidly like a delusional parent shills for their delinquent child.

People live as if archetype filled narratives are reality, that is, each person has constructed, sometimes subconsciously, their own personal mythology.

When facts and figures interfere with a mythology, which do you think wins in the mind of an individual?

And an even scarier question. Why is it so easy to recognize in others and not in ourselves?

It's a good take on the boomers here. Richard Spencer is good in interviews and debate, but terrible in terms of effective planning, action-plan or even long-term ideas.

Still - the boomerisms remind me of Peterson.

It's as if you are debating someone on a completely different plane. That is why he is so limp and moronic in topics like the Alt Right where he starts talking about them wanting to become the father. Or when you talk about immigration and JP then talks about how wonderful Indians are - a 1.5 bio. country that can make Canada a small province of them just by moving 1-2 cities over.

In that respect JP is a boomer as clueless as many others:

It's not particularly common that young, and it's a dagger to your self esteem. When I first joined here I'd see guys with full heads of hair giving advice to new guys who complained about losing their hair, and it pissed me off because they weren't qualified to give it, but I lacked the forum reputation/esteem to say something. I'll say it now - it's not insurmountable but it is a shit situation to be in, but by the time you're late 20's you'll be fine.

JP is 56, well within an age range where it's perfectly socially acceptable, widely occurring and what's more, he's married with kids. Therefore, he had the hair transplant purely for his own vanity. Which is fine, but because it's him it's a hypocritical double standard. When I learned he'd had one (and sort of kept it under wraps too), it was far more damning than anything Vox or guys on here have said.

I think he's a good man, and if you're stuck in a rut he'll help you work a nine-to-five and get on with life productively. But, that thing did irk me.

No shit - that's some good same-hair transplant. Plus you see him having lost quite some considerable weight. Those PR things do work and you have a much wider audience and more favorable view - being slimmer and appearing more good-looking.

Of course you can work on losing hair - some just shave it off, but most professors like JP would look down upon such an act.

Good PR companies certainly would have advised him to do that - on top of getting his teeth made to look fit for Hollywood.

But he did all of that before he became famous.

No idea - I don't consider this much of a deal breaker. And he may be indeed a valuable therapist individually to have.

We certainly don't criticize his individual advice that much here.

As for hair - same hair transplants and even Berlusconi fixed plugs are certainly options for some men. Not everyone looks good with a shaved head. In the near future when the cloning of your own hair will be easy, then only the poor or the careless won't have a full head of hair.

This thread is running out of gas if we are down to basic boomer bashing and hair transplants.

I have been defending him for the most part, but now feel like I have heard everything he has to say, and even when I download his lectures, they sit there on my phone and then get deleted.

The other Peterson thread is out of gas too.

I still fail to see all the special Peterson hate.

Figures like him come and go, saying something that is being overlooked, but needs saying, and then they fade out of sight.

Similar books and messages in the past: "The Road Less Traveled," and "The Purpose Driven Life."

Same deal, both books: Life is hard. Find meaning. Endure.

I still just see him as a clinician taking his skills to a wider audience, and not so much a political figure.

The people criticizing him give him way more credit than the people who like him.

I think he will do his thing for a bit longer (including a rules for life sequel), and then disappear into a cave somewhere, read and write for a time, and then come back with another book.

Otherwise I think all of his critics are a bunch of nervous nellies letting their fears have the run of their psyches.

If he runs for office though, I will take all this back, and admit you are onto something.

Recently the Skeptics with Sargon, BuntyKing, Kraut and Tea again are blowing up again and new leaks of strange discussions of their behind the scenes are emerging.

Those so-called enliightened Youtube intellectuals who constantly harp on the crazy SJWs often behind the scenes similar to Peterson are in very busy contact with the far-left. Obviously the not-too-crazy left, but with active internet doxxers, with guys who see everyone even mentioning anything White as Nazi automatically. They not only talk with them, but agree on many points similar to how JP speaks to SJWs that he stopped more men from turning Alt-Right than the SJWs have done.

And the Skeptics talk about what to do to stop those evil Nazis, doxx them, deplatform them off Youtube. They are not concerned with debating them on rational "skeptic" terms, oh no - they see them as enemies and simply don't debate them just as Sargon prefers to not debate them.

Ultimately those limp dicks never realize that their ideology continues to contribute to the destruction of the West - no one aside from you will listen to that stupid individualist ideology.

Even miniature groups like military units or even here on the forum - we are united under certain ideas and concepts and work as a group - we share information, we are not fucking individualists who sit with the Native Americans and put on their traditional tribal gowns being proud of their culture.

JF did a three and a half hour stream yesterday on JP and Sam Harris, very good indeed and entertaining too but I'm not sure how effective it is to have such mammoth length videos as this.

JF does a good analysis on the JP interview with Douglas Murray - in it he clearly shows himself to be a full-on leftie who just disagrees on some more extreme points of the far-left. He essentially celebrates the total control and domination of the right in the country.

He is more like an Evergreen College professor who later gets eaten by the lefty dogma he teaches to his students. This is the strongest evidence yet that Peterson is controlled opposition.

This isn't even consistent with his lived experience. He says that he has been falsely accused of improper conduct toward a female student three times. It's implausible that he doesn't know Kavanaugh was being set up.

Most likely one or more of his puppetmasters is going down because of Kavanaugh.

I thought this thread was dying simply puttering along the fact that Jordan Peterson - the free speech anti SJW prof won't even address any biological race related question, or discuss whether Western countries should continue to cuck themselves.

Man I used to really like this guy, I actually watched his lectures about practical advice, religious symbolism, nazis, communists, and the cold war before he ever went viral 3 or 4 years back. I read his book 12 rules for life (ok listened) and overall it was good. Now I'm fully off the Peterson Train. He isn't by any means my enemy, but he surely isn't someone I consider a leader - and I used to hold him in that regard. All thanks to the watering down of JP as he does his media blitz and some help from the RooshV forum shinging a light on the BS.

He is a borderline Sell out in my mind. Or maybe he is an individual, doing what is right and making a ton of money for his family.

I suggest people who instinctively slam Vox should at least be open minded to the possibility of him being right.

The reason Vox slams JP doesn't seem to be anywhere near the reasons JP defenders are saying it is.
