A gun is permissable in a self defense situation is prevailent such as a suspect is armed. I know it's a hard concept for non americans since the gun restrictions are so tight in other countries.

This thread touches on an issue that's been raised since a particular police shooting in the USA few months back. That female police officers are generally incapable of successfully using non-lethal takedown measures and they know it so they escalate straight from shouting "comply" to shooting the offender.

I believe this was the incident in question.

One has to wonder if these "draw your gun and shoot at the drop of a hat" SOPs aren't influenced by the incapability to the pussy patrol to handle the situation in any other way. How do you tell a 90 pound woman to deploy their baton and subdue the 180 pound man without them suing your department for "unreasonable SOPs" when they invariably get their asses kicked.

I have to agree with this theory. I've known some very large troopers and deputies in my life, and if you were being squirrelly, then they would just slap the piss out of you on the side of the road. If that didn't work, they'd smash you in the face with a flashlight or a ticket book or even the butt of their pistol. But they didn't roll out of the car guns blazing just because some guy got out of his car cursing.

Now it seems like a lot of cops are scared of their own shadows. Those cops need to find something else to do with their lives. I want my police to be respectful, prudent, and just towards the populace. But I'm also fine with them popping some guy in the mouth with a mag lite if he needs it. Just don't shoot some unarmed guy 18 times because you're scared.

p.s. The globalists better hope their robot police force is ready to go at the drop of a hat. One more decade of this and a surly group of teenage boys will be able to launch a coup on any nation in the West with minimal resistance.

It's true, the fact of the matter is a good deal of cops are pretty poorly trained in hand to hand combat, so the first thing they do is whip out their guns to avoid an ass whooping.
