Search function first

Read threads about both... come to your own conclusion. If need be ask specific questions in the existing threads.

I'm tired of these types of threads from noobies... "Hey guys I have contributed absolutely nothing to the forum. An I don't feel like reading the pages and pages of advice already posted on these cities. How bout you guys hold my hand an plan my trip for me."

Op this isn't all directed at you, you just happen to be the straw that broke the camel's back

Kiev would be like jumping of the high dive your first time swimming. Not even very many experienced backpackers go there. 14 days you could probably do Krakow and Prague though.

Kiev has a higher learning curve. Krakow is very walkable and girls are more approachable from what I gather.

I've only been to Krakow, not Kiev.

Krakow is good, there's relatively good tourist infrastructure and there's good transportation all around and a lot of young europeans passing through to party. Kiev seems like it's a lesser traveled path, so you'll get more out of it in experiences compared to most people as it'll be full of euros from western europe partying in the center of the city.

RE: Kiev or Krakow for first solo trip?
I have experienced both solo. Both are good, but Krakow is a lot more touristy and lots of people speak English which can be a plus or minus based on your perspective. LOTS of bars in the central square area. Kiev is not so touristy and much more the adventure in my book, and much hotter women.

Glad I got to go to Krakow, as I got to take a trip to Auschwitz (great experience, but not the point of the forum I know).

That being said, Kiev hands down.

^I think the touristy factor takes away from the novelty of a place, it changes everything in a place.

Warsaw is the easiest city for me in Poland, you can date 2 or 3 girls per day if you want and beleive me some very hot girls. Not a lot of people go to Warsaw compared to krakow, less competition, you will be very exotic and get number is so easy.

I have been to Warsaw and krakow, there is a big difference, you cannot even compare in term of easiness. Krakow is still good but because of massive tourist, girls begin to have bitch shields attitute. I cannot count the number of time i cancel dates with girls because i had a lot of choices and select the hottest one, it does not happen with me in Krakow, i had to work harder. Go to Warsaw

+1 to Warsaw.

It wasn't part of the OPs question, so I didn't mention it. It goes against a lot of what I've read on the forum, but I liked Warsaw much more.

However, I would still say that if you're up for the adventure, go east...Kiev.
