March 30th, 2017:

A bit rainy day, so I didn't do anything.

Tomorrow I'll do some street game, then I'll go to a mall.

Note to self: I must diversify daygame venues. Street won't yield much, both short and long term. Also, must expand social circle.

March 31st, 2017:

I went to Ploiesti Shopping City, city's largest mall. Because it's Friday, it was mostly filled with families and couples so I could barely do my daily approach. Weekend is not a good time to do daygame there.

Tomorrow afternoon I'll take a train to Bucharest. Hope to find more ladies there.

April 1st, 2017:

I went to Bucharest and I made a small progress: the conversation ended when I began rambling Both approach #1 and approach #2 ended like this, when the first girl pointed me to ask the cops and the second told me to check the maps. On my way to the train station (*) I saw a very sexy, borderline intimidating chick, which I approached as well.

It's another life in Bucharest. Much more girls after 7:30 PM. Counting those I've seen on my way home, I could became an approaching machine.

Nice, warm weather. I did my approach, but going through the motions. I didn't have any mood to continue.

10 approaches this week.

Come to think of it, I am having another problem now: the actual approach is not a problem; the fact that nothing happens, after about 30 approaches is. If I don't do something different, I can approach until I die and it won't make a difference.

Out of the 30 how many numbers, replies, dates? Are these your first approaches ever?

Nothing so far.

No, they aren't. Night game is not an option right now, so I'll stick to daygame. I tried something similar last year, but gave up after 3 weeks, because it was a waste of time to deliberately wait 2 hours for 2-3 girls. I don't repeat the same mistake again this year.

Time to run self-diagnostics. 30 approaches in Romania (if I guessed correctly), where girls are on average prettier than in the UK outwith London and absolutely no results is no good.

Romania, you guessed well. Ploiesti, city of about 200k people, 48 miles north Bucharest.

Agree with the self-diagnosis. Will take a break from approaching this week and see what I can do.

I did a bit of looking around for my city and I found some facts (call it datasheet, if you want to):

Demographics: Ploiesti has 200k people. This means about 100k women, regardless of age so I guess I have a quite limited number of options. I saw chaps who put up an impressive amount of day approaches in cities like London or NY. However, both London and NY have about 8.5M people each. Combined, they add up to 85% of Romania's number of people. Maybe this is why I am lucky if I can see a few girls roaming the streets here.

Nightlife: we have a few clubs, which are open only Friday and Saturday night. In the rest of the week, they are closed. In the rest of the week, Ploiesti is a quiet, calm town.

Hookup culture is close to none, as far as I see. Sure, ONS can always happen, but I am not aware of. Yes, I don't frequent clubs so maybe there is such a culture, IDK. However, looking at the parks and outdoor settings, there is a very strong tendency to serious relationships, families, etc.

I notice that social circle is king here. From all the people I asked, they met their significant ones more or less in a social setting: through friends, while college, attended both the same setting for a while, etc. I am yet to meet a guy or a girl who answers me something in the lines of: I met him/her in the bus while he/she was curious about my phone and I saw he/she's cool and one thing lead to another... Of course, due to this factors, the girl (and maybe the guy as well) isn't in a hurry to make a move, because they will likely see each other again.

This week I really lurked RVF and I believe more and more that my city is not adequate for cold approaching, but it's very good for social circle. Bucharest, however, makes a great cold approaching place (2 million people, center full of people in the evenings, etc.)

I remembered this thread that I opened last year and especially this answer which, I think, sums up my situation:

Update April 13th, 2017:

I began to make a list of my current social circles and future ones, meaning those in which I want to enter. Right now, for the "future" category I have in mind a few childhood friends whom I lost touch with, due to different paths in life, but who also seem to want to reconnect.

It's gonna take a while, but it will be worth it, if it goes well.

Update May 6th, 2017:

So far I have 13 leads to begin building my social circle. Long story short, here they are:

1. Andrei. Former student of mine. Full of life, honest guy. He sems to have a large social circle as well.
2. George. A very old friend of mine (10+). Unfortunately, he took quite a different path than I did (at 30 he must eat according to a diet, due to excess in alcohol and steaks. However, he doesn't keep the diet). Quite lonely guy, but he's OK to chat with once in a blue moon.
3. Ana. Student of mine. At the beginning not very talkative, preferring to let actions speaking for themselves. Possible future LTR;
4. Horia. Former colleague in school. He's an entrepreneur now;
5. Corina. Childhood friend, with who I lost touch with for about 15 years;
6. Tony's bar. A small bar, frequented by a few of my younger neighbors;
7. Anticaffe. Place where I hosted a programming course last year;
8. Flori. Ex-Anticaffe worker. Hinted a few times that we should go out so I don't think it's courtesy;
9. A few clubs;
10. Local Strava groups. Right now, I don't know what to expect from them;
11. Different bowling games;
12. A local kindergarten. A former student of mine teaches there and she told me she has some cute co-workers;
13. Geanina. Ex-student who doesn't mind hanging out with me.
    

How, the fun part begins: reconnecting with all the 13 leads and building connections with them.

As a first goal: to fill all the weekend days with people to go out/hang out with.

Long term goal: meet other people through them.

Ultimate goal: knowing many many people. Being famous.
