Here's my two-cents. Placebo effect is still better than nothing! nofap doesn't cost money or waste time.
So for those that are practicing nofap and are experiences positive results, all the power to you brothers. Even if it is just a placebo effect, a positive effect is still a positive effect.
For the more cynical / critical thinking / scientific-minded / evidence-based crowd, we may not be swooned so easily.

That being said, I can see one instance where nofap would have great importance. For those that have an extreme porn addiction where their dopamine / pleasure receptors are so desensitized by constant masturbation to hardcore porn that they can no longer orgasm unless watching a midget amputee shove a firecracker up an elderly woman's ass while peeing all over herself.

If people are enjoying nofap then more power to them but the benefits will be gone once you start having sex on a frequent basis because it's not the lack of porn that's giving the benefits it's the lack hormone response in your body due to ejaculation. 1st, that last link is to a website written in Chinese. 90% of guys here won't be able to read it and verify if its content sounds legit or not. Do you speak Chinese btz ? My advice to men reading this post remains the same. Real inner healing takes both time and work on yourself improving both your lifestyle and habits. Using medication for shortcuts just shifts your addictions and does not bring lasting change.

1. I've lived in china and can read enough to make sense, that + google translate for anything I don't understand is enough for me to get a grip on what's being said. As for Chinese productivity, lol as an entire country yes but they also have 4 times as many people. Break down that productivity to per worker and it plummets, China has a certain way of doing things and while it can look good on paper the real world results are very different. You can checkout that documentary on Walmart's struggles in China to get a better idea. As for censorship, you seem to be a little paranoid that the government would care what a bunch of people avoiding masturbation are doing, they don't give a fuck, you could sell organs if you wanted to as long as you don't question gov. policy they don't care. As for accessing porn, everyone in China knows how to get around the firewall with a VPN. You can buy a ready to go VPN stick with a month worth of service for about $2. With some sites you don't even need it.

2. I never said there were any negatives to nofap, I just think a more effective option is going with glycine and fapping and having sex anyways. Like I said the effects aren't due to fapping or porn but ejaculation. If you get 3 fwbs and have sex 3 or more times a week all of the benefits of nofap will be gone because you're ejaculating again. It's not an either or option, there is no reason why you can't take glycine + do nofap or hell just eat more chicken skin, bacon, or egg whites, those foods have tons of glycine in them.

3. Proviron was just used as an example to show how the effects of nofap are due to DHT because it's synthetic DHT and the effects of proviron and nofap are exactly the same, read nofap forums, then read steroid forums, and you won't be able to tell the differences in reports of mood, confidence, social anxiety, happiness, etc between the two. One doesn't need to take proviron, they can just focus on upregulation via glycine or nofap.

4. No I don't work in that industry I just bothered to do a little research, i've never created a thread about any supplements just offered my insight when people asked about NAC, modafnil and nootropics. As for cosmetic surgeries yea I don't see anything wrong with that if somebody feels it will help them feel better. The 2 examples I gave in that thread were for a guy who had an over/underbite which is as much health related as it is cosmetic related and my dad who had PRP injections done for hair growth which is a good alternative to a hair transplant. If you're thinking I'm shilling for big pharma or surgeons/supplement companies then I'm doing a pretty shitty job at it with 4 out of 39 posts in 2 years regarding anything to health.

As for your comment for guys looking to improve themselves, I agree, there are no magic pills but neglecting perfectly safe, cheap, and proven supplements to reach your goals faster is a little bit like going to the gym and not taking protein or creatine. I just came off a 35 day no fap streak. I noticed major improvement, but of course a large part of it could be placebo effect.

First couple weeks I felt pretty anxious/ edgy. I was having boners all the time.

By start of week 3 or so, I had a massive desire to approach, be social, or chat up women. I started going out more. I had massive boosts of self-confidence, and it reminded me a lot of my 18 year old self. I started to pick up on non-verbals of both men and women. My posture also seemed to improve. I walked with swagger and I felt a bit taller. My voice dropped a bit too.

Still, I had a lot of nervous energy, so I started sprint training, and I cut out any sort of junk food. It's quite easy to go at least a month on no-fap if you work out, limit screen time, and go out instead of staying at home. While maybe I don't need to go a month again, one to two weeks is actually great.

I felt more aggressive too, but who knows.

Most men don't fap, they fap and look at porn. Getting porn access down to zero is crucial. But for a lot of guys you got to get rid of both. No fap gets your mind out of the porn mindset and you start to appreciate real women instead of pixels. At a certain point you realize you don't need porn and that it's gross.

I have 43 days without fapping and to be honest I got to say it helps with Game a lot.

First, the horniness pushes you to make contact and advance; generally I got to say my kino escalation has gotten way better. Second, you get more energy, at least this happened to me; I suppose it's because the nutrients semen is made of: if you don't release them the body will reabsorb them. Third, for some reason my game gets better and I have more confidence in myself.

Semen Retention has given me a lot of energy: horniness is the fuel of man. When I get horny and I decide to exercise to channel that energy my performance is way better.

Try it: if it works for you, nice, if it doesn't, give it some time and it will.

You guys really need to get with no-fap programme, especially those amongst you who are struggling to get IOIs and positive responses from approaching women. It's been nothing less than a game-changer for me. As for any guys that have experienced these results for themselves, it would be good to read more about them here.

I am on MONTH 3. It's placebo, completely in you're head. I've also actually approached women the whole time on no fap, apart from a couple conversations that could have happened anyway, nothing to report.

The other "benefits" are also nonsense. You guys are like members of a delusional cult. At some point you have to ejaculate anyway, whether it's through masturbation or sex, same outcome.
