Maybe some of the "vets" can provide some signs that would help the helpless avoid a disaster.
My top five:
1. You're the one making all the calls, initiating text/emails.
2. Puts you on hold for extended periods, or calls you back because another person called.
2. Never asks about your day, or shows any concern about your problems.
3. You're always apologizing.
4. She's so distant, you're always asking "what's wrong"?
5. Real short attention span when she's with you.
Those are the most obvious tells. Also they're unambigous and therefore the easiest to read within 5 minutes. But by the time you find yourself doing no 3 ,you should have taken a hint.
Yes, yes, I agree, there is no ambiguity with these signs, but this is for the helpless, not a vet like you, so maybe just add a few?

For me,I don't go for the elaborate mind tricks and reverse psychology. I don't invest huge amounts of time in chasing pussy-my motto generally is; don't chase a chick that doesn't want to be caught.
So those signs work for me.

I don't think the majority of men have the mental drive or dedication to really embrace game and make use of the information already out there. You know this to be true if you've ever tried to bring a friend into the fold. Most guys just remain blissfully ignorant. But I agree, there are more than 5 years ago.
Look at those websites like http://omegavirginrevolt.wordpress.com/
These guys are clueless morons. The less men that take the red pill, the more women for the rest of us. On the other hand, the more that take the red pill, the more profitable it will be for those in the business. It's a trade off. Then again, if there are so many lost causes out there willing to shell out cash, why not. I'm sure that's the view of those guys who run those $3000 workshops.

I don't think it's really quite hit mainstream yet. I don't even really consider the whole "PUA" / Mystery / etc. industry as true game, but more foundational and gimmicky.
Mystery is probably the best thing to happen in recent times to keep it from going mainstream.
If it ever hits mainstream its going to take forever. Any time you talk about game to normal people they think it's silly because they automatically jump to mystery/stupid routines and how silly it is. They tune out everything about inner game and how it's beliefs and attitudes. You'll get little flashes of awareness on the radar here and there from the public consciousness (ie. Men recognizing marriage is a rigged machine these days), but not full blown awareness. People are too resistant to change.
And you also have huge numbers of people that just do it all wrong (bad internal mindset, bad delivery, bad body language, etc)...takes a pretty good amount of conscious effort on oneself before it becomes autopilot/unconscious effort and even then you are always still growing. So no, I doubt legit alpha males will start roving in packs on every street corner any time soon.
If game became mainstream, I'm not sure I'd keep doing it. It's easier to go against the flow. Imagine how competitive game would become if all men worked to improve themselves?

We all are, just different stages. Neo was always "the one" even though through the bulk of the first movie he couldn't do anything special, had to be taught and have his hand held.
The capability is within us all, like any "hero", you just have to want it enough so that when the time comes for everything to click, it can.

I dont think it could go mainstream. Women are fickle, if over night 95% of guys become super alphas I would bet that what women find attractive would change over time to counter act that.
Women like exclusivity in their men, alphas are rare, so women like alphas. If the alpha male become commonplace he wouldn't be a special prize she could show off to others.

That alpha bullshit is over-blown, and overrated. Go with what works, which could be anything the bitch so desires at that given time. After that, you're in control if you know who you really are.
