DeFranco's video saying the original movie wasn't that bad isn't the point.

The trailer for this new show is racist towards blacks and whites.

Whites are shown to be wearing black face (how many of us have ever been to a halloween party with whites in blackface? seriously!). Whites don't care about black people is the clear message. Then we are shown with a black chick with a preachy tone. She fit the stereotype of "angry black woman" to a T. Next you have black people ripping the hair off someone (assault) and then destroying property by knocking over speakers (vandalism). So we don't have enough images of black Americans being violent and sassy, like in this video? Please explain how this isn't also racist against blacks, or at the very least, reinforcing a very bad stereotype.

We also have the show's big cheese on Twitter saying "Fuck White People". Can someone break down that tolerant tweet? Can someone explain to me how that is acceptable?

It doesn't pass the substitution test.

Watching most teevee is bad for a man's mental health - like Mom said, it rots your brain.

Netflix has some good documentaries though, my girl and I watched "Secrets of Great British Castles" which I liked a lot.

Queen Elizabeth may or may not have been a virgin, but a nice person she definitely was not; which was about par for the course for most English monarchs over the past thousand years. What would really have made me sit up and take notice was if any of the long string of Edwards, Henrys, Richards, and James had been described as "A wise and just king" rather than "A ruthless, sadistic tyrant."

There's a general problem with black identity if it is to be defined from someone else i.e. whites and the history of slavery. I understand it to some degree, because AA's don't know where they're from in Africa, so they can't find heritage there and everyone needs an identity rooted in something. Perhaps with genetics it can be easier to figure out which tribes you have. In any case, this defining identity in opposition to something will just lead to bitterness. It's like modern jews and the Holocaust and it's those people who pushed the opposite-identity on them.

On this forum, you don't define yourself as a victim but as someone in control of your destiny. If you define yourself as a victim then you let those feelings of powerlesness define you. I never believed in that bs and I had a rough childhood too. The government and liberals are never your friend. They didn't help me and they won't help blacks. What do they say "rent free", at some point you have to let go of grievances, not for your opressors sake, but for your own sake.
