I am considering a relocation to Budapest but after having lived a nightmare in Poland I must be very careful in choosing next location

I read all the threads about Budapest and there are conflictual information about the pick up scene there: according to someone it is the city where you can experience harsh rejections, for others it is the city with the best nightlife in EE.

Also, most of the comments about Budapest in the forum have been made by asian guys like OP and Buddha, not sure how can be pertinent to a european looking guy.

Hope to land an interview in a few weeks so I can see for myself but a weekend it is not enough in order to make a proper decision.

There are two faces to the nightlife in budapest: on the one hand you have primarily western-oriented pubs and clubs with few Hungarians, then you have a number of primarily Hungarian clubs that cater to different class and age groups.

To answer your question, I'm a 6 foot tall white guy and have been hanging out with the OP for several weeks. If you have high standards, it's a tricky place to get laid unless your game is super tight or you're working some sort of niche.

It's difficult in the western clubs because there's just a severe lack of attractive girls. In Hungarian clubs you have a higher percentage of attractive women (quite a few stunners at BOB, Otkert, 4Bro,etc) but the rejections can be terse and frequent.

It seems to me that Hungarian women particularly at night favor a strong and aggressive approach. Doing this prevents a total blow out or the typical Hungarian "non response" which is the favored method for blowing guys out.

At the same time, a strong approach just barely gets your foot in the door.

Personally, I don't really like the "ruin pubs"/western club scene. At least now in spring the girl quality usually is just not there. You're digging for a needle in a haystack. Occasionally there are a few hot girls. I'd rather get blown out by the hottest girl in Hungary than engage in sarcastic banter with a sloppy 5 with a masculine attitude. It is possible to do both by pregaming at the western clubs then bouncing to a Hungarian club later.

Thank you very much for your contribute Tenerife, it seems that Budapest isn't apparently a better option than Krakow the place where I am at the moment.

@Rudebwoy I described some of my issues in the Poland thread, it seems that Budapest shares some kind of the same problems with Krakow...tough choice I have to make in these following days

Another thing I should note, and it's been mentioned before, but the male to male competition here, as far as attractiveness, physique, dress and overall appearance is the highest I've seen anywhere in Eastern Europe by far. Before coming here take a look in the mirror and see where you stand looks wise. It's very common to see male model type guys dating down here.

I'm specifically talking about the Hungarians and not western tourists, just to make that clear.

Hungarian men, at least a considerable fraction of them, have their shit together, and for whatever reason it seems like there is a surplus of these dudes. Looks competition is high. Don't let that stop you or make you hesitant, just understand this isn't a "normal" EE country in regard to competition from local men, certainly not in the center of Budapest.

As far as women, I really fancy them. They are some of my favorite in terms of appearance anywhere in EE, but specifically I like Hungarian faces. There is a wide range of looks, from the occasional porcelain blonde, to the almost caramel raven, but the usual hottie is the ultra sultry brunette, light skin, light eyes.

The one issue that I don't know how to feel about is the attitude/enculturation of Hungarian women. There is more of a western, slutty , dare I say "masculine vibe" that many have. At clubs it seems like lots of girls are going for some mix of biker, hip hop, or greaser look.

The de facto uniform of Hungarian women is cut a off black leather jacket, and black pants. Black leather jacket, black pants.

It's comical how ubiquitous this outfit has become in Hungary. I've seen whole groups of about 8 girlfriends sporting the exact same attire walking abreast down the sidewalk and just chuckle. I stopped and took a picture of a mother in a black leather jacket holding hands walking with her small daughter-who was also wearing a mini black leather jacket designed for little girls.

Hungarian women don't dress as feminine as their eastern counterparts. They give off fewer warm, motherly vibes.

But facially, and body wise, you will see stunners walking the streets. It depends on time of day and where you are, but this city, in my opinion, simply has the women. The 7.5+ model quality range is going to be an absolute bitch to crack for most guys though.

The aggressive approach thing is so true. I would even argue that a rejection(or perceived non-interest) isn't the end of the game. I remember this one time, another forum member(Sithdixon) and I were cruising around Szimpla like we usually do on some random Tuesday or something. We approach two Hungarian girls, and they basically act cold and barely utter a word when we go say hi. And btw, at least last summer, there are far more Hungarians at Szimpla then people care to believe.

Anyways, at this point, we kind of had an understanding that you need to be aggressive as shit with Hungarians. About 2-3 hours later, we lost each other and I'm looking for someone to hang out with, and there is Sithdixon, he had already reapproached the Hungarians from before. Long story short, he ended bringing her home, and texted me in the morning, that she was an animal.

Well I did match with an hungarian 10 in Budapest (girl is now modelling, she added me on instagram) and she wasn't harsh at all on tinder but I never had the chance to see her because I left. You will find there and there some 10 who might be interested in you depending where you are from (I'm french and this girl travels to Milano and would like to go to Paris to attend fashion events).

My friend who was erasmus in Budapest had some success with university girls there although I never see pics of the girls.

You clearly haven't the slightest idea on what you speak, I lived there for 2.5 years and can only speak on what I saw and experienced. Hey, good for you that you lived here and had a great time. Why you gotta diss my trip? Life ain't all about banging 8s and 9s bro. Again, I am simply stating my experience and what I observed. I asked bunch of expats who lived here around 2013/2014, they told me it was a completely different scene, girls were really friendly to foreigners, but now they are getting tired of them since they fuk them and leave.

I ve hung out with probably 8 forum members, they pretty much told me the same thing, never mentioned banging some top BP poon. Spoke to the expats who lived here for anywhere from 2-5 years, they said things changed. Spoke to some erasmus students, well, they are college kids lol.

All good. Just telling you what I ve seen. I am not the person to whine about not getting laid with 8s and 9s, but that seem to be the primary objective for a majority of the members here, so I thought it would be relevant to share my experience.

I am also not on top of my game right now. Got a bit chubby after 6 weeks of binge eating out and not working out. I could imagine better results once I get ripped in a month or two, and during the summer season.

I absolutely love the city tho, it's gorgeous, so many cool places and venues to go, food is awesome, standards of living is cheap, I could imagine living here for a long time.

You clearly haven't the slightest idea on what you speak, I lived there for 2.5 years and can only speak on what I saw and experienced. I asked bunch of expats who lived here around 2013/2014, they told me it was a completely different scene, girls were really friendly to foreigners, but now they are getting tired of them since they fuk them and leave.

I ve hung out with probably 8 forum members, they pretty much told me the same thing, never mentioned banging some top BP poon. Spoke to the expats who lived here for anywhere from 2-5 years, they said things changed. Spoke to some erasmus students, well, they are college kids lol.

and @LionOfCA, since you are going to be here soon, I am curious how it's gonna turn out for a 6'2, 9/10 white dude like urself.

Maybe other forum members who lived here recently can chime in more. Apparently if you experience something different than someone else, you are wrong and negative.

Chiming in as an old Budapest vet of the 2014 poosy raid.

I think you have a defeatist outlook on Budapest.
It's a hard city.. But my game wasn't even as good as it is now and 8-9 were not so uncommon that it was an unobtainable task.
Maybe you are going to the wrong spots..maybe your game needs a definition.

I know some of the other members in the city. Top notch poosy from Budapest to Romania is normal.
