RE: Why are women being educated?

My wife is like that, and I met her in a very feminist city, although she's from a small town. She's transitioned from working full time to part time now with a new home business, because she's much happier taking care of me and making money for our family than for someone else. When we have children, which would be pretty soon, she will be a full time stay-at-home wife and mother.
She was doing a degree when I met her, but dropped out because the teaching was rubbish (among many things, they replaced good teachers with cheap Indian ones who can barely explain anything) and she was already working in her field with higher skills than the instructors she had at univeristy. The studying was also taking a lot of time and she couldn't stand being away from me for that much time during the week. Instead of paying more for university (luckily we have a better system than America, so not much debt) I taught her to use the money to invest in a home business.
I don't really meet girls like her in the cities. Elusive would be the right word, which is why I married her. Her friends from the same small town aren't like her either, even though they generally got married in their early to mid 20s, to church betas around their age or younger that they can boss around. They are career first all the way, with the expectation that their husband is their helper, just not as outwardly nasty as your typical city feminist.

RE: Why are women being educated?
From the Slate article " About That Overpopulation Problem":
Slate Wrote:We know how to dampen excessive population growth—just educate girls. The other problem has proved much more intractable: No one’s figured out how to boost fertility in countries where it has imploded. . . . .
One of the first things that countries do when they start to develop is educate their young people, including girls. That dramatically improves the size and quality of the workforce. But it also introduces an opportunity cost for having babies. “Women with more schooling tend to have fewer children,” says William Butz, a senior research scholar at IIASA. . . . .
Most of our friends have just one or two kids, too, and like us they regard the prospect of having three or four kids the way most people look at ultramarathoning or transoceanic sailing—admirable pursuits, but only for the very committed.
That attitude could do for Homo sapiens what that giant asteroid did for the dinosaurs. If humanity is going to sustain itself, then the number of couples deciding to have three or four kids will consistently have to exceed the number opting to raise one or zero.
