I love how this thread turned to 90's music video hour,
I'm more into the rock music of that era--this music was my other teenage friend in those days and the friendship still continues. Rock *before* the 2000's just has more soul than today.

No dance game came out of that music but it made me learn and play guitar that got me some attention from the ladies.

After seeing all of these 90's videos of my early 20's, I come to ONE CONCLUSION:

Damn, I feel soooooo sorry for the garbage 20 year olds have to listen to today Beginning with Lil' Wayne and Lil' Jon. It seems all you have to do is add the prefix "lil" to your name, and you are a hip-hop star!

Shit, guys complain about nowadays, but I'm sure 90s game has its own set of bullshit. Just speculating:

1. Having to call the house phone at a girl's house and talking to her mom, brother, or sister for a minute (who could be hotter than the girl in question), then waiting for them to scream "Amanda!!! It's for you," and waiting another 2-3 minutes for her to come to the phone. Then, she "gotta go," because someone else has to use the phone or because someone wants to get on AOL or CompuServe and that shit is dial-up (as Mixx pointed out).

2. Scambling for quarters and a pay phone to holler back to this "honey" who just hit you up on your pager with "9-1-1." Motherfucker in front of you is taking for ever because he's calling El Salvador and shit, and just pumping that phone with change every couple of minutes.

3. Using that corny Fresh Prince of Bel-Air game because everyone knows the 90s were the golden-age of black-dude game.

4. Having to learn goofy-ass dance moves, looking like a broke-ass Kid N' Play, just trying to impress all these chicks who think they're Fly Girls from In Living Color.

5. Wearing those ridiculous, polka-dotted 90s fashions.

Man, we got it good.

EDIT: Although, I will confess this is a mad jam.

Sometimes I don't know how we did it back in the 90's with pay phones, pagers and all that jazz.

But you know what? Mad girls got swooped in those days.

Also, in the 90's there were 4,000 people in the California Desert at an illegal Rave Party on any given weekend. (Try that trick in the Police State America has become).

3,000 girls on Extacy.

Not a bad environment to swoop in.

And the House Party tip was off the hook back then before they got cracked down on.

Today, they are almost non-existent.

Drinking on the beach, smoking in bars, Cocaine Mansion Parties, sliding around the beach in a drop top Caddy and Wifebeater swooping girls cold off the beach, Nitrious Oxide illegal E-tab parties...It was a glorious time.

Being young up and coming Playboy in the 90's was not a raw deal (so to speak).

Plus, at least there was good Hip-Hop.

Honestly, the 80-90's were the golden age of America. The country was at the top of it's game, everyone was making money, feminism was thick but the girls were slutty, the party scene was huge everywhere, east or west coast, and you could travel almost anywhere in the world and be treated like royalty....

Fuck all this texting bullshit, I wish I was born a decade earlier.

I feel you on that, u ain't the only 1. But look at the bright side, that cats born in the 90s and even worst the 00s, will have it much harder than we did. They can't even relate to a time before, facebook, gps, and auto-tune.
