RE: Leaving AUS should I move UK or Canada or elsewhere
I have lived in both, Canada and the UK.

If you are under 40, UK wins by a landslide simply from the social aspect and ability to meet people from all over the world.

The job market in the UK is way better, assuming you have some skills.

It has been said countless times, but being able to escape the UK for cheap on weekend excursions was a huge plus for me.

In Canada, even flying to NYC for a weekend is expensive. Most Canadians go Mexico and Cuba simply because it is cheap.

Sure outside Toronto, there are nice places to live. I couldn't imagine living in them though, they would probably be similar to the back woods of Australia. The only difference is the weather.

I would check out the opportunities for engineers in the UK, then pack my bags.

For these reasons, it's hell for single guys who like to date women and have fun which is most of this forum.

On the other hand, if you want to raise a family, it's on the best places on Earth. Clean, safe, free health care, cheap public schooling, government loans for university, great weather for the most part, nice beaches and nature.

Gets old quick though.

As I said above that I've never been in Australia but all those things apply to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth?

I've had some crazy hot girls from those cities when I was in college in LA. I always thought, it's the most peaceful country in the world along with New Zealand. It was just an assumption though.

Aussie is good when you grow up but once you finish school theres nothing to do, everything is geared towards parents and kids. Mid 20s to Mid 30s is not catered to at all if you have any sense of ambition

If you get tired of that, you can always go back to AUS and still be able to continue your career.

Btw, is Australia really so easy to make a fortune like everyone says? Everyone points that out when talking about Australia, but 90k AUD is 53k GBP, and I know ton of guys in London earning way more than 50k GBP. Am I missing something? Plus cost of living in Sydney and London is quite similar.

Aus was good like 10 years ago when I was a kid, it had a really good mining boom, a housing market that was booming and hadn't peaked and a really stable gov, none of this exists now. Why the fuck would you pay top dollar to live in Sydney a place where they have a 'lockout ban' which ends all nightlife at 1am bascially what a joke

If you like NYC so much, you should try and move there. You better have some work skillset that is worth something though. Basketweaving won't cut it. There is no replacement for NYC and you would have a very good time there. Women are very receptive there and plenty guys do well gaming there. Your accent will serve you well too.

You're young. Do both and experience it for yourself. I'd be willing to bet you will end up back in OZ.

I suspect neither Canada nor the UK will offer any positive differences of any significance. Only novelty.

I'll do both back to back, I plan on using up all the working holiday visas i'm eligible for, I don't think I'd be back in Oz unless everything changes, which it won't

You don't need a green card to visit NYC. Just go over there and see what it looks like and see if the place vibes with you or not. You would need to be living in in the US to get a green card to begin with. You only need a visa to visit. Since you are AU, you might not even need a visa! Double check it, but I think you could come here to visit without needing interviews and all kinds of crazy shit.

Here you go, no visa needed. 90 days. You can come see NYC in all it's majesty for 90 days. You don't need a Green Card, just some guts and a little spending cash.

Canadian oil patch is picking back up slowly, fingers crossed! I would go work in a resort town like Banff, Whistler or Jasper, the pay isn't great but you get free lodging and cheap seasons passes to some of the best ski hills in North America and there's tons of loose sluts from all over the Commonwealth running around.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

kingkap66 you say you are red pilled for years, have boundless ambition and hate AUS and want to go to the UK or Canada primarily.

Yet you say you've done London so it's not for you, if you are an engineer it's pretty much London for you. You want to go to NYC instead but pray for a green card.

Then you want to use working holiday visas to stay in both countries. Shit doesn't add up.

1)Working holiday visas are used for lower paying menial jobs. Can't speak for the UK but you bring your AUS degree to Canada it means jack shit. You also need "Canadian work experience". Good luck.

2)A "red pilled" dude would have upped and left already. Don't know a country and wanna check it out? Go for a week, take some vacation time.

If you wanna go, go. If you can't go, make a plan to get out of AUS. Anything else is mental masturbation of the highest degree.

Well, if I would live in the United States I would probably live in Texas. It's one of the most republican states and it has great cities (San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Austin). If your planning on living in Canada I would pick Ottawa over Toronto. But there is more Opportunity in Toronto, but its really expensive, and beats you down eventually. I can't wait to leave this city for good. I lived in Ottawa, and Toronto I can definitely say Ottawa is a better city to live in.

I have visited London but not worked there, I like the place, I will definitely be going there one day.

I already have a plan to leave AUS, I've already applied for the Canada WHV and will receive my WHV (if approved) within 6 weeks.

Once that is approved I will go to the US and visit friends/family for 2 months I will also go see NYC. After that I will go to Canada and give it a try.

If for whatever reason I don't get a Canada WHV, I will apply for a UK WHV.

I plan to be out of Aus in March. I am a bit Burnt out from Eng atm so even if I do some other work whilst I'm there it will be good to see and experience new things for the time being. Later on before the WHV expires, I will assess my options either to

A- Try for PR @ Canada if I like it
B- Look to move to NYC
C- Move to Europe (UK) or if I get over the burn out Germany for a Masters

Once again thanks to everyone so far for the insight and even the critics (didn't post this to hear 'yes' men) and if anyone wants to suggest any really good opportunities that are happening somewhere in the world let me know, i am flexible

Another option: certain pockets of South Africa, like Cape Town.

The English language is important and dominant. But Afrikaans and African languages are present.

I've heard Sydney nightlife has gone down steeply even since I was there in 2014, lockout laws and faggot shit like that. Plus a lot of big name clubs and bars being shut down.

I dont know why but for some reason, in my imagination, Australia is perfect country to live in.

What's so bad about living there? I haven't seen Australia but Canada and UK were pretty boring to me. What's so bad about living in Australia?

Australia is a great, but rapidly declining, place to be a kid or raise a family, unfortunately the fun police and SJW are ruining that aspect as well.

For someone in the 18-35 and male it's basically hell on Earth. Melbourne is a bit better than the other cities but basically fun is outlawed as heavily as possible. If something is fun then it's either going to be banned or taxed to the point of excess. Think $50+ for a bottle of cheap spirits or carton of beer. Most expensive cigarettes in the world. Drugs are about 5x more expensive than places like Vegas, where it's a ripoff. Clubs close at 1am in cities other than Melbourne and Brisbane. Drinking on beaches will get you fined, having fun on the beaches in general will get you fined. Basically if you found London boring then you might actually fall asleep on your feet in Australian cities. London is a vibrant and happening party centre in comparison to even Melbourne, nevermind the other snorepits.

The ratio of men to women is completely out of whack, it's again better in Melbourne and Sydney but it's still bad in those places, Perth and Brisbane have two of the worst ratios in the world. This combined with hyper-feminism and masculine femininity makes the women unbearable for the most part. There are some great looking girls but most of them will plummet the second they open their mouth.

There is an extreme case of tall poppy syndrome, success will generate hate. Intelligence is generally frowned upon. Socialism is rife. The entire tax system is designed to punish success and reward ineptitude and stupidity. The government is horrific and the waste that drives the excessive taxation is getting worse every year. All these things are the reasons that even the raise a family element is rapidly diminishing, it's a country that is basically eating itself. The media is even worse than in the USA for one sided SJW coverage, there is no voice of reason or counter voice to the CNN types which is accelerating the decline of the culture.

The positives exist, what's left of male culture is very alpha, sports, gym and camaraderie are strong. The weather is fantastic, basically the winter is closer to what most of the Northern Hemisphere considers summer than an actual winter. It's safe from crime. The roads, while overpoliced and full of terrible drivers, are fantastic. As I mentioned, there are plenty of physically attractive women if you're the kind of gamer who doesn't enjoy conversation or stimulation outside of physical attraction. The beaches are phenomenal.

Unfortunately the overall culture there is toxic, I can't spend more than a few weeks there these days or follow the news without finding myself wanting to go postal at the stupidity levels and the general direction of the country. It's the most culturally castrated country I've been to for men.

Hi guys. I live on the moon, but recently, the lack of oxygen has started to become troublesome.

To get away from that problem, I'm thinking of moving to either Mars or Jupiter.

What do you guys suggest?

Australia has lower taxes, doesn't have mass immigration from the third world. Anything that is wrong with Aus is probably worse here.

In CAN you have Trudeau and in the UK we'll soon have Corbyn (communist).

Ireland could be worth a look. Low taxes, good jobs in cities, low 3rd world immigration.

Gework Australia doesn't have mass immigration from the third world? There is a huge asian immigrant community in Sydney, some neighbourhoods in sydney are 97% asian.

A rare 100% accurate write up about Australia. Hello to the man reading this in the future, if you are thinking of coming to Australia, please remember, everything written aboveis correct--and that it's for if you have good game and good looks. If you are short, not in the top 10% of looks and relatively broke, this doesn't apply to you--it's worse. Far worse you then.

Asian in the UK context means third world, lower class Pakistanis and Bangladeshis (Muslims). I'd trade our Asians for Australia's (Chinese etc).
