I wouldn't put it past Bezos.

The Democratic primary of 2020 will be a crowded blood bath.

If you thought Hillary had problems being a liar, Bezos will be an entertainment all in himself. You can't teach an old dotcom fraudster new tricks.

Bezos was given both barrels on his credibility by a Federal Court judge about ten years back - Google Bezos and Toys'R'Us case to see how he flat out lied or played Humpty Dumpty with meanings of words right there on a witness stand. On top of that, the guy is running a company that basically hasn't shown a single profit in its entire run and which survives the same way a cancer does: continual expansion and fooling the body it parasitises that nothing's wrong. Amazon has also been hammered repeatedly for basically being a slave labour operation. With the Democrats trending back to the extreme left (it's only a matter of time, that's the only trick they have left) there is not a chance in hell they'll put up an aspie union-buster as their public face.

As to the suggestion that four years of public speaking training will fix Suckerberg or Bizzos's PR problems: you will recall that Donald Trump has likely been decades getting ready for this run, and essentially is the most persuasive man on the face of the planet right now. 4 years of public speaking training is not going to turn either of those OCD motherfuckers into credible strategists, schmoozers, or decisionmakers, and in particular it's the schmoozing that will matter because these assholes will be relying on a major political machine for their funding, not a populist run as Trump did.

In particular Suckerberg is a cripple because he has never actually known failure: unlike the Don or even Bezos who've both known personal wipeouts, the Suck was brought up in an upper-upper middle class house and had the great misfortune of his first commercial prospect, Facebook, succeeding.

I disagree with you on Amazon's business upside. Constant expansion and reinvestment has led to depressed profits but also better and better valuations. They are making money hand over fist on the new age parts of their company such as Amazon Web Services. Within the next 5 years I predict Amazon will start to poach the top talent at HBO and become the premier producer AND distributor of creative online content. Netflix's pockets just aren't deep enough to compete in the long run.

That said, not only is Jeff Bezos a fucking white male, he is a bald one at that.

Technically you're correct, however in the eyes of a globalist, it does.

RE: Zuckerberg Contemplating Presidential Run?
Question would be. Who would actively vote for Zuckerberg?

Patriot / MAGA crowd? No.
Men with testosterone? Doubtful.
Military? Mostly doubtful.
Blacks? I doubt it.
Hispanic crowd? A mix, if the Trump vote is anything to go by.
Feminists? That would be rather hypocritical.

Zuck is a calculating Aspie. His political ambitions are probably to be Gov in Sacramento. I don't think he does very well on the national stage. He comes off as socially retarded, no real charisma. Limited appeal outside of deep blue states, and easy to plaster as a taker of American jobs with H1-B visas, and a nasty neighbor who builds huge walls around his mansions and then complains about Trump's wall. I think Trump would eat him alive. Still, I think he's positioning for Governor.

Gavin Newsom will eat Zuckie's lunch, he's the Californian Justin Trudeau and the heir to the NorCal Dem machine, along with Kamala Harris.

I've heard that Zuckerberg might actually be part of the inner Rockefeller clan. If that's true, then his political ambitions make sense, the Dem machine will line up behind him. That might not be enough though, because not only does he not have natural charisma, but he also comes across as the scheming, controlling, fake young robber baron that he really is. Both Bloomberg and especially Cuban are much better bets for billionaire challengers to Trump.

Looking at the power grab, being governor means only power over the state, being POTUS means power over the country and most of the world, Zuckerberg wont like only being governor of a state, not matter how big and populate is.

I know. It's a logical stepping stone for someone who is unsure of themselves in politics to stop "local". For a billionaire, it's a safe first move to try as opposed to going all out for a presidential campaign.

I get it, but many rich people want to replicate Trump very bad now, going straight to the top, Mark Cuban was asked something similar and he said he will never run for anything that is not POTUS.

The number of rich people wondering if they can also make a move like Trump is big.

I think the next election (re-election) will be rough, they will throw everything they have at it. Hopefully all the seems in our leaky voting process get fixed by then, can't have those illegal votes flooding in anymore.

I only indicated Ellison is too old. He is 72 and IIRC there were rumors about health issues recently.

Larry Ellison is Oracle. Larry Page is Google. Page is in his 40s and Bezos 50s. Those two are plenty young enough. Seems the mistake is on my part with both Ellison and Page being named Larry.

I was going to suggest Elon Musk until I realised that would not be possible due to him being South African and therefore ineligible.

Voter ID and other anti-fraud measures would be easy.

Educational and immigration reform would help keep the 'pubs viable long term, but a lot of immigrants and teenage SJWs are already in the pipeline to vote, so change might come too late.

Trump is a step in the right direction, perhaps a turning point, but it was only one battle in a war we've been otherwise losing for forty years.

RE: Zuckerberg Contemplating Presidential Run?
I think, on some level, we can't see Trump as the end-all, be-all. Men who like Trump need to look for marriage quality women and wife up them up, and have as many kids as possible. Each man that marries and has kids is a vote. Each womb is a vote. Trump may only be alive for 10 more years. He needs his followers to imitate him and carry on his legacy. Trump's legacy will live on in his children, but he will need more men like him to have kids, thus ensuring a dynasty.

Yes, the question is, on what platform he runs his campaign? Hilary was ran as a 3rd Obama's term, and had all globalist behind her with an entire globalist agenda.

Trump ran a nationalistic America First, protection of borders and good trade deals.

On what he runs on?

If Trump presidency goes the right way there is not going to be much appeal for globalists agenda. And how is Zuckerberg supposed to get votes in middle America? He is more likely to make some sort of TPP deals, immigration? tear down the wall? bring as much "refugees" as possible into the country? guns, he is not going to get the NRA and gun owners endorsement.

He could get lots of votes in big coastal cities, no different from Hillary.

RE: Zuckerberg Contemplating Presidential Run?
Quote:Mark Zuckerberg joins Silicon Valley bigwigs in calling for government to give everybody free money

- Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg just wrapped up his Harvard Commencement speech
- Zuckerberg touched on America's economics, health care system and the need to -
- "modernize democracy"
Zuckerberg also called for universal basic income, echoing other elite members of Silicon Valley

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg called on the need to consider universal basic income for Americans during his Harvard Commencement Speech.

Zuckerberg's comments reflect those of other Silicon Valley bigwigs, including Sam Altman, the president of venture capital firm Y Combinator.

"Every generation expands its definition of equality. Now it's time for our generation to define a new social contract," Zuckerberg said during his speech. "We should have a society that measures progress not by economic metrics like GDP but by how many of us have a role we find meaningful. We should explore ideas like universal basic income to make sure everyone has a cushion to try new ideas."

Zuckerberg said that, because he knew he had a safety net if projects like Facebook had failed, he was confident enough to continue on without fear of failing. Others, he said, such as children who need to support households instead of poking away on computers learning how to code, don't have the foundation Zuckerberg had. Universal basic income would provide that sort of cushion, Zuckerberg argued.

Altman's view is similar. A year ago, Altman said he thinks "everyone should have enough money to meet their basic needs—no matter what, especially if there are enough resources to make it possible. We don't yet know how it should look or how to pay for it, but basic income seems a promising way to do this." Altman believes basic income will be possible as technological advancements "generate an abundance of resources" that help decrease the cost of living.

Zuck would be funny to watch trying to run for president. The cringe worthy pics that would be sure to happen would make it worth watching.

The biggest challenger I see in either 2020 or 2024 is The Rock

- Super Charismatic
- High level of Game awareness
- Huge celebrity with very few haters
- Actor
- Excellent Voice Control
- Not a fucking white male

- If The Rock came out and ran on a centrist ideology, a mix of progressive and conservative positions, then I think he would be a serious contender.

Watch this video and tell me he couldn't make dangerously good political commercials.

RE: Zuckerberg Contemplating Presidential Run?
How can you not love this guy:

Quote:Facebook’s Zuckerberg: Fight Against Nationalism ‘Struggle of our Time’

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg choked up while speaking about an illegal immigrant “DREAMer” during his Harvard commencement speech and declared that the fight against the forces of nationalism “is the struggle of our time.”

Zuckerberg acknowledged on Thursday that “there are people left behind by globalization across the world” and even conceded that “there are people in every country for global connection and good people against it.”

“It’s hard to care about people in other places if we don’t feel good about our lives here at home,” he said. “There’s pressure to turn inwards.”

He then said, though, that the struggle of our time will be between “the forces of freedom, openness and global community against the forces of authoritarianism, isolationism and nationalism.”

“Forces for the flow of knowledge, trade and immigration against those who would slow them down,” he continued. “This is not a battle of nations, it’s a battle of ideas.”

Zuckerberg then choked up as he told the graduates that one of his top students at the Boys and Girls Club where he volunteers his time was a DREAMer who “raised his hand and said he wasn’t sure he could go [to college] because he’s undocumented. He didn’t know if they’d let him in.” Zuckerberg said he took him out for his birthday and when he asked him what he wanted, “he started talking about students he saw struggling and said, ‘you know, I’d really just like a book on social justice.’”

He said he was “blown away” because “here’s a young guy who has every reason to be cynical. He didn’t know if the country he calls home—the only one he’s known—would deny him his dream of going to college. But he wasn’t feeling sorry for himself. He wasn’t even thinking of himself. He has a greater sense of purpose, and he’s going to bring people along with him.”

“It says something about our current situation that I can’t even say his name because I don’t want to put him at risk. But if a high school senior who doesn’t know what the future holds can do his part to move the world forward, then we owe it to the world to do our part too,” he said as he started to tear up.

Zuckerberg’s political advocacy group, FWD.us, called then-candidate Donald Trump’s immigration plan “absurd” while unsuccessfully lobbying for amnesty legislation and an unlimited number of H-1b visas for the technology industry to import more foreign workers to displace Americans.

Zuckerberg’s commencement address also made waves because he said “we should explore ideas like universal basic income to give everyone a cushion to try new things.”
