The count Dankula verdict sets an extremely dangerous precedent not only for the UK but all anglo commonwealth countries. I'm not sure what the sentencing was (maybe a few months in jail, tops), but that isn't the point. The point is that for any of us stuck in these progressive soft totalitarian shiteholes like Canada, Scotland, England, is that we could be liable for criminal penalties for wrong think. The negatives aspects are huge. First, where do you think they will send us? In the UK the jails are already filled with muslims. So if your thought crime had anything to do with them, your getting sent to basically a concentration camp, where the locals will single you out for beatings, rape and maybe a final ultimate shivin'. Second, and this is a big one especially for someone like myself that wants to bail Canada when I got enough cash, it gives you a criminal record. You ain't leaving this brave new world very easily with that ball and chain. Never mind the social ostracization and possible joblessness and with it, certain financial ruin.

Its why I barely utilize any social media with my real world name. This authoritarianism is just getting too real and is coming to a local court near you.

Labour have set up the most unsustainable social programs in Europe and The Conservative government can do nothing but manage the decline. As outlined previously, the state pension scheme in the UK is unfunded and paid out of current taxation with no investment, bar about £350 bil that is put aside only for public sector employees. This is why the British pension scheme is often dubbed the worst in the developed world. The writing is on the wall with it. The OECD are already promoting the UK not paying state pensions to higher earners. If the state pension was privately run the left would be screaming ponzi scheme; but because it's private they instead muster, "Don't worry about it! We're dealing with chronic poverty! The Torries! The cuts! For the many!"

A calculation:

A person on minimum wage earns about £15,000 per year. If they work from 18 to 75 at minimum wage (not considering inflation) they could be required by the government to put aside:

£1,000 / year for a pension - with standard compound interest you would be looking at £700,000 to retire on at 75. That could give you a yearly dividend of £17,500 year while you hold your appreciating portfolio.

£1,000 / year for unemployment insurance - with standard compound interest given that most people will remain employed all their life that could be close to another £700,000.

£1,000 / year for medical insurance - this is to pay for Bupa medical insurance. By the time you're 50 that £1,000 is going to be paid outright for health insurance. But by that point the other part of your annual medical insurance provision that was invested is now worth £60,000, which gives you almost £2,000 per year to contribute to medical insurance over your life. But even if you take out £1,000 per year from that £60K, you'll still be left with about £100,000 at 60 due to compound interest. Taking out £2,000 up to 70 will leave you with £175,000 and £4,000 up to 80 will leave you with £285,000.

So by the time you're 80, a cleaner could be on £32,500 / year on dividend cream with over £1.5 million in combined investments. Instead (according to the ONS) we have a £5 trillion black hole over 30 years in unfunded state pensions that are coming out of your pocket. Labour have left us with the biggest ponzi scheme of all time.

I'm beyond the point of being upset by whats going on because I am powerless to stop it but I am not powerless when it comes to my own person and as far as I can control it, my destiny. Your place of living, who your friends are and your financial circumstances are all things you can steer towards a better situation.

Yes but by the time you’re 80, 32k a year isn’t worth 32k in real terms. 32k when I’m 80 I expect will just be small change. Unless you are claiming that you’ll be due 32k equivalent in whatever 2085 money is worth.

Being macho and corrupt to further your vision is no different than pressing those beneath you with laws for thee, none for me. They do that as well but Russians have had communism so its ingrained into their psyche but we have yet to have that mentality develop.
