Voat notes that Carrie Fisher is the first celebrity to leave the US following Trump's win.

Replier counters that she'll be on American soil for quite some time to come.

Carrie Fischer was never hot.

Her hotness was an urban myth that grew out of the fact that the original trilogy was a total sausage-fest. You could have shoved a young lena-dunham into that slave-Leia outfit and she would have been regard as a sex symbol for the next 30 years.

Fischer in her prime was plain. Average. Ordinary. Run-of-the-mill.

Go ahead and look at the bio picture above and tell me I'm wrong. Plain face. Plain tits. Plain ass. Plain, plain, plain.

But that's what a sausage-fest does. Pedestalises the plain.

Very nice body in the films by today's standards, but not really pretty.

What always struck me about Carrie Fisher was how old she looked in A New Hope. She was only 19-20 during filming, but she looks 25. She was just missing that vibrant youthful look a 19 year old should have.

What the fuck is going on with all these people acting like she was a pillar of the film industry - like she's Marilyn Monroe or Meryl Streep. I defy anyone to name a movie she's been in that isn't Star Wars.

She was in this one movie called Soapdish back in the early '90's. She looked a lot older than 35 (her age at the time) in this scene, but I remember thinking her tits looked pretty nice when I randomly saw this for the first time.

When she was young and hot, yes WB, not while she was walking around at 60 and a walking corpse.

A Leftie musician friend emailled me this just before Christmas. Once again, using children's entertainment media to feel empowered in reality. I simply resent it back today, with no comment.

By the looks of it, she was one of best script doctors in Hollywood: Script Doctoring

Quote: Carrie Fisher’s talent extended far, far beyond portraying Princess Leia — the witty writer was also the creative mind behind some of Hollywood's popular films.

The celebrated actress — who rose to fame as Princess Leia in the 1977 hit "Star Wars: A New Hope" — was also known as one of Hollywood's best script doctors as she would examine screenplays for any needed fixes.

Fisher, who died on Tuesday at 60, made monumental changes to the dialogue of popular '90s films like "Hook," "Lethal Weapon 3," "Sister Act," and "The Wedding Singer."

Questions need to be asked about a woman who dies at 60 when her mother is 84 years old and still kicking (and in good health). No obvious congenital issues in Carrie's case.

From what I know of women, being alpha-widowed by Harrison Ford in front of an audience of neck-bearded nerds is on the list of possibilities.

Maybe the wrong thread to say this, but I don't know why the common person gives a fuck about celebrity deaths. People mourning George Michael and Fisher like they were just on the phone with them the day before seems so disingenuous. Guys like Mark Hamill I understand, but why does the average person take the time out of their day to tweet about how important these people were to their lives? Is it a virtue signalling thing?

RE: Carrie Fisher is dead
This story is really getting old at this point. Celebrity dies, sometimes somewhat young, no information about why is published and released, people wonder why so many celebrities are dying and how mysterious it all seems to be. As if it is some bizarre phenomenon that targets our blessed demigods who walk amongst us mere mortals. Ugh. And the chatter almost every time is that is was drugs, or prescription drugs, and their abuse of it. And their long history of abusing said drugs is conveniently wiped clean from the memories of our propoganda media so no one can put obvious facts together. All to uphold the post-life imagine of our superior beings who so many idiot westerners practically worship.

Drugs. It's always that, or some gruesome accident. It's why she looked like an animated mummy at the end and why she had a heart attack she couldn't recover from. It's why she stopped being nut inside material barely after she hit legal drinking age. Celebrity culture is absolutely riddled with it, and it appears to affect nearly everyone who enters that cesspool. I'm surprised we don't have more of them dropping dead from it honestly.

I also find it quite amusing how they're trying to now, out of the blue, hold her up as some paragon of the entertainment and film industry. Like...what? She was in Star Wars as a hot piece of ass...and what else? I highly doubt these same people have ever uttered a word about or related to her outside of Star Wars reference ever. All fucking bullshit that has feminism reeking all over it. Example: on the evening news of NBC tonight (of which I despise) showed nothing but the scant few frames of her holding a laser blaster in the SW movies while talking about her death and praising her exemplary inspiration role model status to all young female Star Wars girls; and practically the entire generation of women who grew up in that era. Pouring the propaganda on strong and only showing the masculine action scenes to avoid any potential display of her being a frail, vulnerable, weak, princess archetype female.

It's absolutely laughable. It's so damn overt and undisguised. The zombies have it so easy these days and they still miss the deceit. I remember when the media actually tried and put effort into concealing their secret agenda and narrative pushing; when they made you work for it.

The Tweeted page of 'The Empire Strikes Back' with her 'handwritten corrections' in that story is Fake News.

Quote:Update and Correction: Well, we said "reported hand-written page" for a reason. As it turns out, while Fisher has done a lot of work on other films, these particular hand-written notes are actually from director Irvin Kershner. The page is in a book by J.W. Rinzler called The Making of Star Wars. We're leaving the original story (with the error) below, for historical sake.

"For historical sake", meaning, "Marxist Reality is our Preferred Reality". Leftists are oohing and ahhing over the belief that she changed it, and saying that it's 'sooo much better' now, when it reads as shit either way to my eyes.

Quote:Fisher, who died on Tuesday at 60, made monumental changes to the dialogue of popular '90s films like "Hook," "Lethal Weapon 3," "Sister Act," and "The Wedding Singer."

That's a Resume from Hell, right there. I never thought much of 'Postcards from the Edge' either, either the book or the movie.

RE: Carrie Fisher is dead
I will say this for her - despite all the drug antics of her youth and her questionable talent, she kept her dignity until the end. She was, in her later years, always the first one to make fun of herself and her past, seemed humble and grateful to get a second chance, and didn't get involved in stupid Twitter feuds over non-issues or political witchhunts like actresses of today (correct me if I am wrong on this, but at least that was my impression of the past few years - the worst one was when she complained about having to lose weight for The Force Awakens in a side remark which got completely blown out of proportion by the media).
