This may have been posted previously under a different title but I am thinking of upping sticks soon and currently deciding where to go.

I am 5'7 and though Eastern Europe appeals I hear being short is a major handicap. I hear this less so about South America and SE Asia.

Personally I'd rather not wear elevator shoes or insoles, I dont have a problem with it, so looking for a destination where the girls feel the same tbh.

Any thoughts guys, would hate to show up somewhere and find that Im invisible due to one factor I can do nothing about.

I have followed some of Rooshs threads on EE and tbh he's what I am not, a tall ethnic looking guy and does quite well there, this has me thinking what I heard about there might be true regarding height

modern nutrition means that most European dudes are 5'10 or more. Asia and Latin America are good bets,in Europe you can try Southern Italy,Spain or Portugal. I'm 5'11 and every third guy seems to tower over me.

Philippines would be good I think. There are a number of girls here who have the problem of being too short-- a significant minority is 4'7" , and quite a few are 4'10" .

I see guys in their 70s who obviously are pretty frail, with slow and asymmetrical gait as well as being stooped over with a much younger girl, although the girls are not 7+ girls.

Not saying that you're disabled like that, but Filipinas are natural nurses, very humble and it's shown in who'll they'll date. At your 5'7" there are many lovely 5'0" 8s who are very nicely proportioned and would be a nice match size-wise for you. The best looking ones outside of outlier models are 5'4" - 5"5" and still within your reach if you're under 40.

More and more girls are getting more strict requiring guys being under 40 YO, and they'll probably compromise more than western women on height since there are very few 6'3" Filipino men.

You've got to screen for parasitism in Phils however. Laziness is very accepted although not universal. Two good tests I've found are:
1) Does she actively volunteer to do all housework, as in does it without you asking her. Cooking, washing dishes, washing clothes, a little decorating like xmas trees. I mean early in the morning they start policing the apartment in a casual way like they consider this normal female behavior. If you have to ask them to do it, she's much more likely to be westernized.

2) Sincererly resists if you try to give her spending money. Ones that bring stuff to the counter presuming you'll buy it if you're in a store are the worst. It reduces stress on me to keep her cashed up with a few dollars, (2-5). Otherwise she'll have trouble getting to my apartment etc.

Agree with the above, get out of Europe if you're finding height an issue. I'm 6ft0 and I'd say I'm only about average height for middle class men across most of Northern/Central/Eastern Europe - I never feel particularly tall here. Bear in mind all those "average" heights of 5ft9 include lots of older, and poorer, men who bring the average down. For middle class men under 30 you can always add 1-2" to whatever the stated national average male height is.

If you go to anywhere with a substantial indigenous American (ie Central/South America), or South-East Asian, population however you'll be upgraded to average height. People are tiny there. That would be your best bet I think.

How tall is Roosh anyway? He seems tall but I suck at judging height from videos.
How old are you? If you're below 35 head to Thailand, above 35 head to the Philippines.

You mention "ethnic". How dark skinned are you?
If African American I'd choose South America.
Aisian women are generally (there are exceptions, and it also depends on the country) less in to black.

Im a short white guy, no I was talking about Roosh being ethnic and tall, that the look he has seems to work for him in EE, not sure that would be the case for me.

I quite like Asian women so this is good for me however the logistics are a nightmare, is not an easy jump to make without contact on other side

Im 36, I'd guess hes 6 foot or close to it. Philippines doesnt have much going for it in terms of jobs though, do you know of anyone there, what do they work at?

Your not going to make any decent money unless your posted abroad on a expat package so don't expect to roll in and find a job at western salaries just because you have a western passport. Most guys make their $ online somehow or do something that isn't related to the local economy.

For latin america you should speak spanish at a conversational level. Also crime is something to be cautious about. Being a white guy in south east asia its inevitable to attain a certain level of success. Countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Phillipines are your best bets. Plus you dont really have to learn the language since there are alot of English Speakers.

At 5'7" you'll still be taller than your average south east Asian man. Philippines, Vietnam, etc would be good places to start. Also, there's a certain "white god" factor that is in place in several of these countries, such that although you're not bringing the height, you're still taller than average than the local men, plus you have the exotic factor of white skin.

SEA is where it's at for us shorter white dudes. At 5'7" you'll be above average for Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. In addition the height differential between girls and guys here is massive so the girls are even smaller than the guys. Your white skin will more than counteract any height disadvantage so you should also be able to date girls who are your height or above.

People are taller in Singapore (mostly ethnic Chinese population) and its an expensive place to live but you'll still have no trouble getting girls there either who are shorter than you and the quality of girls in Singapore is quite high.

Another place you can look at is Sri Lanka. There women are typically quite small even if the the guys will generally be taller than you.

Thanks guys, ok so SEA is where I shall focus my search considering above. Anyone been to any of the countries mentioned?

Not really into the look of the girls in Sri Lanka, I more like the look of the slanty eyed variety of Asians

Whats the Visa restrictions like for these countries, has anyone gone through the process and if so did you have any issues getting granted a Visa or was it pretty straightforward

I agree, but I have looked online and see some nice money for English teachers in Vietnam however the Visa restrictions look a little daunting

Dude, go where you want to go. I'm not tall either. Height has not been an issue for me in Europe. Height is mainly a big factor in the US. Although even there it can be overcome with other attributes.

Your probably right, its only been a big deal since I left the city for the countryside a couple years ago.

Have had a lot of women openly say Im too short for them, there again I've also had women tell me to fuck off here, thats a first also. Usually the mother hen of a group, attitudes are the worst Ive ever experienced so the only way is up.

Guess its something I want to avoid at all costs in my next location and I had heard similar from some ppl in EE about height being a problem.

I am not saying it isn't a factor. Height is one of many factors. Some girls will rule you out based on your height. Accept that and use it as motivation to develop your other qualities.

There have been threads on this. However, in a nutshell short men need to build muscle and dress impeccably. You may need to work harder at this than taller men, but so be it.

If you speak Spanish/ willing to learn it, I would consider Colombia, Panama, Peru and Ecuador. If anything, I felt me being 6'4 hurts me there as a lot of the women average out around 5'3. But good jobs will be hard to find here.

I have travelled a lot around Asia and I feel Bangkok is the best place overall to live. If you can bear extremely hot/ humid weather, Jakarta is a great place to date women. I have never been, but there have been a lot of good things written about Danang, Vietnam.

Also it depends what type of person you are, what culture you would appreciate more. I am a quiet introvert so Asian culture suits me more.

I have the same height and I'm white too.

I've been in S.A. I've done VERY well in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. I've felt short in all SA countries, specially Brazil. Least in Ecuador.

Argentina: girls are pretty but their personality sucks.
Colombia: you can find very pretty ones with nice bodies. I highly recommend.
Ecuador: I had good social circle. Otherwise you'll only see ugly girls that look native American.
Peru: I stayed in a nice hostel from a good neighborhood in Lima called Miraflor. It was nice.

I'll say go to Colombia to find a girlfriend and visit Argentina for it nightlife. You'll get great bangs from those countries.

The only country you'll have visa issues with is Vietnam, the rest are easy. Even for Vietnam there are plenty of agencies that will bribe the right person for you to get it over the line.

If you're in finance I'd look at either Singapore or Jakarta. Singapore is a global financial hub and Jakarta is huge in Islamic banking.
Jakarta is also a crazy party city, even crazier than Bangkok IMO. Traffic is shocking though, worse than either Bangkok or Manila.

Philippines provinces are probably the shortest people in SEA.

I was about to add something to the thread but Dantes beat me to it.

Height is a factor but it's not as important as you may think, especially when you consider there's so much you can do in other areas to raise your attractiveness. 5'8 chiming in.

Even if some women rule you out because they're taller than you, you still have at least 60-80% of them at minimum to choose.

Also, some of the best players I've ever met are below-average height. So don't worry.

True,

I'm 5,7, 42, and in the countries I've visited, at least one of the girls in each one, was 1 or 2 inches taller than me, but most of them same height or shorter.

Other members mentioned good places in South America, Asia, but still you are not going to be doing good or bad because of the height. Just go where you want to go!

Cheers guys for chiming in, lots of great advice here, appreciate you all taking the time to respond.

Yes understood on other areas other than height, I have found status is the key to unlock many doors and thats what I tend to focus my game on. Be the guy everyone likes and your halfway there I have always found.

This is why I think going down the teaching route to a place where I stand out as a white guy and setting the odds up in my favor is the best way to go.

I will say I do have really good game, solo sarg over a long period gives you skills that serve well arriving at a new place knowing nobody. So going from literally the toughest environment I have ever encountered to a place where even ugly guys with zero game have moderate success, it will be like fishing with dynamite.
