Dear RVFers,

Happy Holidays and once again I am asking for your Sage Advice.

My ex from Russia, with whom I was with from 2009 to 2012 has asked me to take down Facebook photos with her from our vacation to Egypt, Greece and Thailand. None of them are nude or explicit.

Heard from a mutual friend that she got married recently.

Anyway, she asked me to delete all the FB photos of us together. Since I am extremely busy (Service and Business), I proposed that she pay me $150 for this service. Predictably, she got pissed and is threatening to sue me for violating her privacy and extortion) She is a lawyer after all)

Anyway, I told her to go fuck herself and not to forget to tell the court about the apartment and the repair bill that I ended up paying for with borrowed money and taking 4 years to pay the debt off) as they will enjoy the good story)

So Gentleman, what advice do you have? Should I give in to the bitch or hold out as I do not see a case here. I am in the United States and read that Facebook cannot force someone to delete a photo if it is not abusive or fraudulent or a violation of copyright, which according to facebook - the person taking the photo is the owner. https://www.facebook.com/help/428478523862899

In the first place, why do you want the pictures in there?

Just delete it and move on.

Why do you have to keep those photos on FB? You can just take them down or make them private (only you can see them).

In the time it took you to post this, you could have deleted the pictures. You aren't too busy.

The pictures were taken four years ago brah. Get over it.

If you are still high on your thailand trip, take down only the ones with the girl in them. I hate to tell you this, but no one wants to see them anyway. Wow, this guy went to Thailand four years ago!

Also, if paying for apartment repairs was an issue for you, you should probably just do what a lawyer says. People seem to think all things legal are free. They aren't. You may not see a case, but a lawyer might.

Just delete the pictures and post back here that it is done as quickly as possible.

Keeping the pictures up and demanding $150 comes off as punitive and spiteful for no valid reason. Unless these are photos of her and you amongst a larger group of friend or relatives, I see no reason to keep them up either. If you want them for your personal collection for whatever reasons, you are well within your rights, but I agree with the concensus here - take them down and move on.

Better yet: delete your facebook entirely and don't bother with this.

Seen similar with an EE european girl i dated. Afterwards she blocked me and took down all of our photos together so she could sell herself as a pure virgin to her future husband. (HAH!)

He has no clue.

Use the feature they have to download your entire facebook database and punch out.

Or do what you want. But, really, who cares?

Leave them up. As much as I hate Facebook, it is still a way to keep in touch with normies and socially validate yourself.

Preselection is good.

Never do anything a woman tells you to do simply because she told you. Your ex- sounds like a real cunt, the fact she tries to sue is laughable. Definitely leave them up. Let the husband find them and get angry, not your problem.

Asking for $150 makes you look extremely small-minded. If you paid for some renovations and stuff 4 years ago that was your decision - if you regret that now that's too bad, but you should have thought it over at that time.

Not sure why you want to have those pics online anyway, that was 4 years ago, no one cares about that.

I'd tell her to fuck off and leave them up, but I wouldn't have asked for any money to delete them. I'm not going to censor my past just because she's a fucking imbecile. I might untag her if she was actually nice about asking. Can't people untag themselves, anyway?

They're your pictures. She can deal with it. If this was some girl I knew and she was being a cunt I'd just block her.

- delete your Facebook
- don't keep contact with your exes, put them on ignore, and don't answer if they contact you

Edit : read a bit fast, don't delete her pics, leave them here for the husband to find out.

Yes, facebook allows me to stay in contact with so many contacts from around the world. What do you mean by preselection - you mean for new girls who check me out on FB? I think it is beneficial.

Yes, this is why I do not do what she tells me and asking the RVFers. Don't really want to go through them all if there is no benefit in it for me. Thanks for being the first one to go against the flow.

Now this is the real issue here. you should Block her on FB and WhatsApp because she's treating you badly and was aggressive. She's not showing respect. Women shouldn't use such an approach towards us men.
Asking for money wasn't good since you've turned this into a battle of wills instead of dismissing her outright.

I wish my ex would message me with any demands, a matter of fact I'd dare her just to shoot her down. There isn't a lawyer in the developed world that would give her case any time of day. This is a classic case of a woman who's used to getting what she wants, and you just shattered her world by being one of the few guys to say "no", even though it was polite and without malice.

Fuck her.

Keep them up. Even upload more from the trip if you want. You're your own man. Shes' trying to cover her tracks for her new beta male servant so he doesn't know who she really is or who she was.

Delete her.

Then hide the pictures from public, which they probably are anyway.

Now block her from your phone and move on.
