Those guys are like the standard fantasy dwarf trope.
They're fused with their land, are tough, drink a lot, build amazing things and it's very hard to tell the men from the women.

If they are of the same stock that settled the area around Nashville, the women are actually damn fine in many cases (assuming they got proper medical and dental care growing up - which at least in Nashville they did). The most beautiful wall survivor I have ever seen in real life played the piano at a downtown hotel (i think it was the Hilton).

I watched Ken Burns' Civil War on Netflix recently. They had a segment about women during the war. It was quite a shock to see that even back then Southern women were hotter than Northern. The Scots Irish women were remarked for their beauty when they arrived in the 1700s.

The scary part with the mountain Scots Irish is if they become a guerilla army.If a lot of ex Green Beret are Scots Irish, that's a real possibility in a hot war. They could destroy all the roads, tunnels, and bridges across not just the Apalachians but probably the Rockies as well. They'd split the country into 3 parts.

Also, I wonder how many of their cousins live in Missouri. I remember reading somewhere online that someone claiming to be a war game planner for the US military made a post to 4chan stating that the US military has war gamed a 2nd civil war. The prize turned out to be Missouri. You conquer Mizzou and you control the continent. He didn't say exactly why, but I'm guessing all the rivers, railways, and highways there make it a strategic hub. Plus, we keep a lot of nukes there.

RE: USA Civil Unrest (Esp California) Thread
That's relatively plausible.

It's because the state has two major logistical centers of the entire MidWest. St. Louis area in particular is a major logistical crossroads. Most shipping/transit going both East/West and North/South (barring North/South along a coastline) touches through the area. The state is also home to Kansas city which is similar on the other side.

If you control those two cities then you can easily project power anywhere between the two mountain ranges that bracket the US. Since most of the heartland is fairly Republican/Bible Belt type land however (inner city dwellers excepted), odds are better than even those areas would be aligned with any central power that emerged which leaves the coast states isolated from each other.

RE: USA Civil Unrest (Esp California) Thread
A couple of liberal acquaintances of mine, who I thought really weren't that radical, started talking about the "armed resistance" on a Facebook page. I think they didn't realize that the entire friend group could see it. They weren't discussing any plans, just talking about how armed resistance in the US is justified just like it was in Europe under the Nazi occupation.

I chimed in and told them that an armed uprising against the US government would get crushed fairly quickly because 2/3 of the military and police voted for Trump, and most of the gun owners in the US were also Trump supporters. Neither one replied other than to say that, "That means all of them are racists."

I take it that a number of Americans with Trump Derangement Syndrome really are discussing amongst themselves on private forums if a violent resistance is appropriate and how it should be carried out. I believe they're aware that they're outgunned by Trump supporters, conservatives, and libertarians, so I assume their plan is, if open armed-conflict breaks out, to use asymmetric warfare while trying to hide/shelter in blue states and in inner cities like many of the radicals did during the 60s.

I doubt Missouri would be as important as Illinois. Look at a map of US interstates and rail routes. Missouri would cut 2 of 6 major east west IR's and one major north south IR. Illinois cuts 4 of 6 EW IRs and 2 NS IRs. The rail system of Illinois is much more extensive than Mizzou's as well. I think even Indiana would effect the nation more than Mizzou. It is the "crossroads of America" and shares most of the same interstates that Illinois would cut off. Illinois also has the most nuclear power plants in the country.

Illinois' strategic status is a bit artificial . If you look at a map of the USA, it's rail & highway transport center should be St. Louis. For historical and political reasons, it became Chicago. I've heard different stories why this happened. One was that St. Louis barge owners wanted to protect their market. Another was Stephen Douglas went pro-slavery in exchange for southern senators making his hometown Chicago, and not St. Louis or New Orleans, the start of the continental railroad, making his personal Chicago real estate holdings go up in value. I don't which is true or if it's something else, but Chicago really shouldn't be the transport hub of North America going by strict geography.

In a war you have to assume that all of the highways, railways, and bridges have been made inoperable or are destroyed. In that nightmare world, Missouri regains its foothold over Illinois.

As for nukes, I'm talking about nuclear weapons, not plants. America's nuke heavy B-2 bomber force is stationed in MO at Whiteman AFB.

BTW I had a blast when I last visited Chicago and Kansas City, so please don't think I'm trying to play favorites.

Speaking of Missouri:

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt-...f9b3e.html

Quote:Police to begin 12-hour shifts as St. Louis awaits Stockley verdict expected Friday

St. Louis city and county police officers will go to 12-hour shifts Friday in anticipation of a verdict Friday in the first-degree murder case of former St. Louis patrolman Jason Stockley.

The city police department said Thursday the decision to do so came "after talking with city leaders" to "ensure the department is ready for any events that may unfold and to ensure a safe environment for our community."

"We want to ensure the community that our police department is prepared for any scenario," the department said in a statement. "In the wake of an announcement, the department is committed to keeping our citizens updated and informed."

There has been no official word on the timing of the announcement of a verdict, but multiple sources have told the Post-Dispatch it will come down Friday.

On Thursday, barricades went up around the Thomas F. Eagleton Federal Courthouse in downtown St. Louis, and Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens took preliminary steps to activate the Missouri National Guard.

"As Governor, I am committed to protecting everyone's constitutional right to protest peacefully while also protecting people's lives, homes, and communities," Greitens said in a statement. "Taking the steps to put the Missouri National Guard on standby is a necessary precaution."

The statement said the National Guard may be needed "to help protect critical infrastructure and free up civilian law enforcement to protect people’s right to protest peacefully."

Stockley, who is white, fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith, who is black, after a police chase on Dec. 20, 2011. Prosecutors have alleged Stockley planted a .38-caliber revolver in Smith’s crashed Buick after shooting him five times at close range. The defense has said Stockley shot Smith in self-defense because Stockley believed Smith was reaching for a gun.

The bench trial before St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson ended Aug. 9, and a verdict is expected soon. Some St. Louis black clergy and activists have pledged “mass disruption” if Stockley is acquitted.

Greitens, a Republican elected last year, won office based in part on vowing to do a better job of handling future violent protests than former Gov. Jay Nixon did during the strife that followed the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson.

Preparing for verdict
Greitens' move was the latest in a series of preparations, official and otherwise, in advance of a verdict that some fear could uncork the kind of public strife the area saw in the Ferguson unrest of 2014.

"We're on edge because we have watched in this country and in our region that legal decisions can and do result in families and sometimes entire communities being left without a sense of justice," St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson said in a video posted last week urging calm. ". . . As we await this legal decision, please don't let the anxiety, the worry and the pain determine how we treat each other."

Earlier this week, the police union that primarily represents black city officers called for Stockley to be convicted, while also calling for calm if he isn't.

“The Ethical Society of Police understands that this case may cause public frustration and we respect the citizen’s right to protest,” the union said in a statement Tuesday. “However, we do not condone any violence regardless of the court’s decision.”

Interim St. Louis Police Chief Lawrence O’Toole told officers about the possibility of 12-hour shifts in a memo earlier this week. Days off, personal days and some vacations will be canceled, the memo said.

Also this week, Greitens met with black faith leaders and first responders to talk about the situation.

“In the past in Missouri, we’ve had leaders who wanted to wait until violence happened to ask people to sit down, who wanted to wait until there are screaming people and sirens wailing,” Greitens told the gathering at Washington Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church in St. Louis on Monday. “And that’s a very hard time to have a conversation.”

Among others calling for calm as the verdict approaches has been Christina Wilson, fiancee of Smith, the man Stockley shot. A statement released last week by Wilson's attorney expressed hope that "our city can use this pre-Ferguson tragic loss of life to serve as a catalyst for post-Ferguson healing.”

EDIT: Just so you know who Missouri's Republican governor Eric Greitens is, this was a campaign ad for him in 2016.

This could actually be quite amusing. Laugh

They really just need to contain the animals in their neighborhoods.

When they decide to riot, legally allow businesses to hire paramilitary forces who have a right to shoot to kill.

When they're looting footlockers for f*cking sneakers, I don't have much sympathy. Time to fight fire with fire.

Military is doing those kind of plans all the time - always did. I remember reading plans of internment/concentration camps in case of immense black riots in the 1960s. They never came, but the military was ready.

In our times it is the militarized cops and huge armies who will keep the order. I don't think that those guys will rebel - so long as they get paid and there is some semblance of law and order, then they won't rebel. And then even huge flash mobs won't matter.

Possibly that big riots may come in the future over full implementation of Agenda 21 and austerity, but again - so long as some men get paid, then the other side won't matter.

And you cannot really blame the cops and soldiers who will implement this.

I don't see any large organized groups being able to fight this - I read journals where they said that they are ready to use mini-nukes in some areas. Good luck fighting that.

Plenty of blame to around, but is their any video of them doing anything dangerous intentionally (besides the beating?). The driver with his family goes out of the way to explain he's a biker himself. Looks like the bikers wanted a fight...and got one. Just not with the 5 on 1 odds they wanted.

Not claiming any of them are blameless, but I was rather impressed with how quick and coordinated that came together.

There is another video of the incident with more facts about incident. There is actually 12 bikers, all college kids at OSU(the one in Oklahoma not the real OSU). If the driver's family didn't show up, it would have been bad day for him. I thought it was funny they thought a 40 something vs a 19 year old was unfair fight. Bikers that act like fags on youtube are up there with sovereign citizens in my book.

Hoping they all get punished but I hope the "hillbillies" don't catch any felonies for having a gun.

Add it to Dave Chapelle's "when keepin' it real goes wrong" collection. It's very easy to get a heady rush of power when you're on a bike with a bunch of friends, decked out in your leather badass gear. It pays to remember that when it boils down you're still the same fag you were when you had a shower that morning, and if you piss off some dudes that aren't impressed by your LARPing then you're going to get fucked up.

Props to the guy that used the helmet as a control point to utterly dominate the biker's entire upper body. If the helmet was tight enough he could have literally snapped the dude's neck if needed. I used to ride and car drivers used to shit me from time to time but you have to charge it to the love of the road. I have no sympathy for wannabe biker gangs with over-inflated egos.

This question is art, both in its growing relevance and utter simplicity.

If shit got really and unexpectedly bad, how are any of us equipped to handle it?

Hopefully this doesn't turn into another Fergusion. Seems like both sides are stoking (no pun intended) the fires of unrest. It's almost as if they know the verdict (not guilty). I've been following this case somewhat closely, and quite a few people are pissed off.

First degree murder???

I have several problems with this case.

First, as is the case with most BLM Certified Shootings™ there is a large degree of media and public dishonesty. Just google the case and you will find plenty videos and articles claiming that Stockley shot and "unarmed man" or that it is clearly evident that a gun was planted. Both of these claims are not proven facts and should not be reported as so. Instead the leftists are using fake news once again, as a low IQ dog-whistle to get the local dindunuffin rioters fired up.

This is best video of the incident, that does not try to push a narrative by having a commentator.

This is a case where I really want to read the court record. There are several factors that not many in public would think about that have strong evidence value. Listed below are some of my opinions and experiences that I hope were brought to light during the trail.

First, a lot of departments will take the officer involved to the hospital after the shooting. There they will take his clothes and do blood tests for any illegal substances/alcohol. In this circumstance they would notice if he had any ankle hostlers from where the plant gun could have been held.

Two, an ATF back trace on a firearm will provide the first legal transaction of the firearm from a licensed store to its first legal recipient. It shouldn't be hard to trace the gun to Stockley if he obtained the gun legally. Most "hood" guns will be either stolen or through straw purchases which make them hard to back track. If the gun is a straw purchase or stolen it leads to reason that Stockley did not own the firearm. It is hard to get a gun that can't be back-tracked unless it is old and has numerous breaks in chain of ownership(like a previous owner dying or not being able to say who it was sold to).

Three, if Stockley retrieved the gun from the duffel bag then where did he put it? His hand are empty, he wasn't wearing an external vest(gun could be place behind or in it but even that would be hard). The only possible explanation is that he slid gun into shirt between his uniform and vest. This is unlikely because, one it would be hard to get out and two with his shirt-stays on it would be obvious to others on the scene.

Four, the duffel-bag explanation is important but I can think of several reasons. One simple, that he is returning his winter gloves and looking for latex search gloves. He is clearly shaking when he returns gloves so I doubt the whole stone cold serial killer trying to plant evidence within seconds of the shooting narrative. Anyone who has been in very high-stress situations would understand this level of adrenaline. This would explain what he allegedly said in the car about wanting to kill Mr. Smith.

Five, as I said in the first sentence, I don't see where prosecution or grand jury saw fit to present the charge of first degree murder. First degree takes a calculated level of per-meditation. Mr. Smith used violence first with trying to strike the officers with his vehicle. This fact should have warranted a second degree charge or even a manslaughter charge if the grand jury felt there was crime committed. The over-charging of offenders has lost prosecutors countless court cases since this anti-cop, anti-gun, and anti-self defense narrative was hatched. Prosecutors take weak cases and make them hopeless when they over-charge defendants.

Other note: Its a real gamble doing a bench trial as a defendant but understandable in this case. Judge's are not as easily manipulated by shyster lawyers which can punish weak arguments. This leads me to have the opinion that the defense realized the prosecution had a weak case and they didn't want to risk a jury being swayed by emotional prosecutor.

Last note is that the pursuit driving in this case was horrible, but not surprising since tahoes handle like shit.

I live in St. Louis and I ride public transportation across the Eads Bridge to get home from my job in Illinois. I work days now and I am watching bits of this on my phone, during lunch.

There looks to be not many protesters marching right now.

I will ride my bike through downtown after work and see if I can post some pictures on the forum.

But I gotta go home and shower and grab my Glock first.

Number one Bummer, you realise the cop was carrying the ak-47 right? It belonged to Stockley, not the guy who was shot. He was not at all authorised to carry it. How absurd to approach a suspects car with an ak-47 that looks like that one.

And if he's digging in the bag looking for gloves, where's the gloves? If you drive that truck everyday, of course you know how to avoid things being seen on the cameras. And how did the cop, and only the cops DNA get on the gun the dead guy allegedly had?

The machine that is St. Louis politics and its racist bullshit has gone on for a long time, and this guy being acquitted is just normal.

After being on the other side of the St. Louis police and cops from surrounding areas, I don't believe anything any of them say or do.

Do you ever swing by Roxy's on your way home? Maybe PT's instead?

do.

I've lived in Missouri as well Kona. There is a bigger inner city culture problem in St. Louis than a cop problem. I don't think I insinuated that the rifle was Mr. Smiths though?

I don't know the department policy but I know the general policy of most departments. Most departments allow personal rifles to be carried on duty if they are properly documented. They guys paperwork might not have been up to date thus making gun "unauthorized." So if you look at it with knowledge that departments allow personal rifles to be used it is not that suspicious that he had his own rifle. I know plenty of officers that use their own rifles for duty because the department either doesn't issue one or because the issued rifle is a circa Vietnam era lease from federal surplus.
The media will run with any fact they can shed a negative light on regardless of the relevance to the case.

I've run out of latex gloves while working. With a simple explanation its easy to see why he was in the bag. If you think he planted gun what is your theory on how he concealed it from so many officers not seeing it and how he got it from bag to person and into car?

The DNA part is easy. I've had experience with ATF trace cases, drug fire cases and DNA link cases all regarding firearms. There have been guns that I have handled without gloves and were later tested. My DNA was not found on gun but suspect's was, other cases where no DNA could be pulled from gun. If you handle a firearm for any time there is chance your DNA can be on it. Its funny you bring that up because even BLM is using the DNA evidence lightly. BLM hates DNA because it doesn't lie(it might not be there but if it is then it is) and they view it as another evil whitey trick.

Like I eluded to earlier. Bench trials are a smart way to go if you care about logic and facts. The fact the defense went for bench trial highlights the emotional arguments the prosecution was trying to peddle.

Its also VERY rare for an inner city heroin dealer to not be strapped. Lets be real.

Like I said Kona most of the points I brought up are questions that should have been answered in the trial. The fact the media is not reporting on them makes me believe they are lying by omission. You can bet your last dollar that if any of the points I brought up were in line with the narrative the media and BLM folk would be screaming from the rooftops.

The cop was not authorized to carry that evil looking thing. He knew he was in violation of department policy. They asked him at the trial.

Unfortuneately, i think this is one of those where one side is never going to hear the other side and vice versa. Same with Michael brown.

I think st. Louis is probably always going to be the way it is. Its just a big "us verses them" no matter which side you are on.

I agree with Kona. There's something messed up with the area. Going to take a gander at the protests, then getting the hell out of Dodge. Everyone got off work early.

David took his men with him and went out and killed two hundred Philistines and brought back their foreskins. They counted out the full number to the king so that David might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage. 1 Samuel 18:27

Took a stroll down to the protests. A few observations:
1. Lot's of folks who look like they don't work for a living.
2. Lot's of antifa(gs) types (hipsters, hippies etc). Bumped into one and they said "sorry"
3. No hispanics and asians to be seen.
4. Some families brought their kids (so much for a day off from school).
5. Some BLM? Militant group on site with high powered weaponry.. Could get interesting at night.
6. Lots of tight white lizards (any advice on protest game?)

Overall, will be interesting overnight when the East Saint Louis and North City/County folks arrive for the nights activities.
