Lightbulb SIX MONTH FORUM PERFORMANCE REVIEW
Alright guys it's been about six months since I opened the forum. Here are my thoughts:

The Good
  • 3,576 posts and 286 members. Not crazy numbers but there are new posts and members daily
  • Like-minded guys have connected here, especially via the travel forum
  • Open exchange of ideas without heavy-handed modding
  • Bountiful collection of emoticons

The Bad
  • More newbies than veterans. Nothing wrong with that but there can be a lack of expertise in the Girls forum.
  • Many guys are stuck in the "Help me with this one girl" problem and it's hard to get them on the right path
  • The "Everything Else" forum is on life support
  • I sometimes disappear for days at a time

Possible Ideas
  • Plug the forum more on RooshV.com to get fresher blood in here
  • Open a locals forum so guys can discuss specific bars and meeting up

So I want to ask you... how can we make the forum a better place? All options are considered, including huge changes. We can do a vote on possible changes.

RE: SIX MONTH FORUM PERFORMANCE REVIEW
As much as I don't like to see forums get too cluttered with 'sub forums' for every topic imaginable, I do see some potential for a bit more break down here..

girls
!_ general pickup advice (or just leave the exisiting 'girls' forum as is)
!_ opener ideas / "experiment (ideally each 'thread' would be an opener idea/concept and message threads within would be each persons 'take' on how it went for them)
!_ dating / relationship advice (for those looking to keep things exciting/alive in 'longer term' relationships - some of us are using 'pick up' skills to find a longer term quality girl

maybe a few others have ideas too... but again, I wouldn't want to see so many break downs its a pain to read through them all.

Thanks for the review Roosh

I like the idea of MCR's break down. Its cluttered.

Maybe a section on inner game too.

RE: SIX MONTH FORUM PERFORMANCE REVIEW
Forums are most popular when
they have something else drawing people to the site.
they are so niche that it's the only forum for that topic around.
they started off as a niche forum, but momentum has kept them successful, eg, fastseduction.

The alternative is having relatively low traffic, but a good core of people who know what they're talking about. Travel forum has that going.

I liked the discussion of techniques and observations, especially because the people who like Roosh seem to have a better grip on reality, and not total tools / weirdos. Problem is, there are a lot of retards writing on the girls forum. Also, without a burning interest in the sexes, evo psych, or a perfectionist streak, guys who are successful with girls have little use for a seduction forum.

I doubt you will ever get much traffic on these forums.

Your blog is already quite popular and generates a decent amount of discussion.

This forum would have to offer something else that the blog doesn't in order to get traffic up.

I forgot to mention my suggestion.

I suggest you start writing more analytical posts a la Roissy in DC style and then open them up for discussion on the forum. In effect you would be moving the discussion from the blog to the forums. I really think it's going to have to be either one or the other.

I just joined today but the locals thing where guys can meet up at pubs and chill sounds pretty cool.
