I don't get how the board and ratings meetings must go. How do they not get that this is hurting their business. I imagine most high-powered media execs are pretty Realpolitik when it comes to business and not caught up with "ideals".

From a political standpoint, I cannot understand how with all of this power over media and academia they still couldn't win an election against a man who had no previous experience. It's not impressive.

It's hilarious to see that they're still doubling down on the same lecturing and political correctness that has achieved absolutely nothing. These people are incapable of achieving anything. They couldn't even stop our meetups.

This reminds me of the old adage that jocks should be nice to nerds because they will be their bosses one day. That was a warning against over-reliance on fleeting athletic skill and glory at the expense of education and cultivating your intelligence and not to torment those who chose the latter and were physically weaker. Not anymore.

Imagine if someone made a "2017 New Years Resolutions for Black Guys" video condescendingly instructing black men to stop murdering each other, threatening police, looting, and burning shit. These same MTV SJWs would crucify that person, and rightfully so. There's no need for that type of collectivist, race-baiting bullshit. But this video is objectively much worse than that. Not only is it openly and blatantly racist, its grievances against white guys are all trivial and laughable nonsense.

To recap, here is the list of offenses MTV has decided to scold white men for:

-Implying that America was great at some point.
-Countering "Black Lives Matter" with "All Lives Matter" and "Blue Lives Matter".
-Using the word "woke".
-Mansplaining.
-Some judge somewhere ruling in favor of an accused Ivy League athlete in a sexual assault case.
-Criticizing Beyonce's political activism.
-Defending accusations of racism by pointing out having black friends.

At some point, they decided fighting these issues is a worthwhile allocation of time and resources, and worth stroking racial animosity for. This is how they're allegedly attempting to make the world a better place. Let that sink in.

On the bright side, this thing is going viral for all the wrong reasons. Up to 155 likes and 5,911 dislikes.

I remember when I was growing up MTV played these things called 'music videos', which were usually about 4 minutes long and had a video component to accompany the music.

Some of them were actually really cool (Pearl Jam's 'do the evolution', Tool's 'parabol+parabola', 'The Kanye West workout plan' etc.,)

But then around 2006 it changed. '16 year old sluts can't keep their legs closed!', 'E-list 'celebrity' has an 'entertaining family', 'INJUSTICES!!!!!'

Unfortunately I'm a little too young to remember when MTV was edgy and controversial...a shame what it's become.

There was a time not long ago that MTV Spring Break was a decent substitute for certain 12-year-olds with slow internet or tech-savvy dads you couldn't pull one over on. Now it's degenerated to this.
