Well let's see, the story involves a U.S. university, Title IX, a slutty coed having a gang bang, football players, alleged rape by not getting explicit consent from someone who is pass-out drunk .... what are the chances of anything other than stupid coming out of that mix?

I'm not familiar with all aspects of Title IX, but anytime I hear it mentioned the result is something reprehensible.

As soon as he dared challenge the narrative he was toast. He tried to buy them off with a donation, but it was already too late.

11 men have now had their lives effected and one white man has been fired because of one girls's week-later regret.

There's not anything to report on this right now but I have a feeling this story will resurface. The title IX investigation is ongoing, odds are that the university is going to make some of the accused players into sacrificial offerings. The coach has already been fired as an example for showing solidarity with his players. From what I've read the players ended their boycott reluctantly, giving the benefit of the doubt that their team-mates will be given fair process. I'm not basing this on any kind of inside information, but when the process plays out like it always does, I think this story will become a news item again.

The Republican platform explicitly stated that they will end the use of Title IX for sexual assault investigations in American universities. Trump's pick for Education Secretary donated to FIRE, a group that has assisted male students stripped of due process in college sexual assault cases. It's very much possible that this could be ended before anything happens to these students.

Is there a place where we can read the alleged facts of the case? I like to be informed of these things so I can tell others the reality of the cases, where there is, isn't, or might (not) be evidence.

this Washington Times article cites a local TV station that published "A redacted copy of the university’s 82-page investigation report published by a local television station quotes the woman as saying she believed 10 to 20 men had sex with her, though she was not certain. She told university investigators she was too traumatized to clearly remember events."

What I heard on sports radio is that there was film of her consensually participating, and then the next day she claims she can't remember a lot of details but somehow remembers she didn't consent to ALL of them. Lizard logic. These guys are probably in jail without that video.

The falsely accused football players have caved and agreed to play in the very lucrative (to the university) bowl game. However, we may not have heard the last of this because Title IX owes them a duty of fairness. I fully expect they'll sue the university.

The university however has made some vague statements to the effect that there is other evidence that justifies their decision which they can't disclose. Its possible that they are subject to some sort of confidentiality constraints as a result of the situation, but in light of the accuser's admittedly failed memory and the video evidence i'm skeptical about what the university might have.

This story is yet another reason Div 1 college athletes should be paid and unionize. Universities should not be able to adjudicate legal issues. US law is the supreme law in America, no exceptions.
