So what's the deal here? They appear to be pre-arranged meetups; are there any sort of rules? Are there 'officials' that come in and break it up at a pre-determined point? Some guys are taking a beating but it doesn't look like anything you couldn't walk away from.

Meet ups are arranged between the bosses or leaders of different ultras supporter groups.

Then they meet somewhere in a remote area or field like you see above and start fighting. Most of the time there are no serious injuries.

Rules are no weapons of any kind. Only in Poland they still fight with knives.

Here a video of my home town club Red Star and the derby between our rivals Partizan. After this game there are always bloody fights. Police have to stand there with guns. Red Star ultras, called the 'Delije' used to fight in the war here aswell as under Arkan.

This looks like barbarian warfare before the development of proper tactics, with things like shield walls, pikes and archers. I'm not sure how it would work with hand to hand combat, but I suppose it would be like football, with a defensive line, and maybe guys standing in back to throw kicks over the blockers shoulders, or even flying leaps into vulnerable areas on the opposing side.

I'm sure some kind of group formations would help here.

Anderson Cooper is an overt homosexual and likely has HIV, I would not want to risk punching him in the face. Absolutely agree. As someone who recently started a martial art, stuff like this is nothing short of exhilarating. One of the best parts of fighting is how you can get your ego checked at the door. Taking up an art where you could legitimately get demolished gives you an appreciation of peace and humility that people who don't fight will never understand. There was a video Joe Rogan and his buddy did awhile back about how Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a filter for douchebags. I practice something different, but after a sparring session, you get a sense of reality. People who take themselves too seriously don't last very long in that world.

As for the video, Russians gonna Russian.

Yes. French can be pretty tough fighters suprisingly. Germany has a long history too. Ofcourse England also.

This is just stupid and senseless violence, in the name of Football clubs where the players can get a 5-0 beat and do not give a shit, receive their 100k each month, after the match get on them brand new Porsche or Ferrari straight to their Villa, where is awaiting the silicone breasted wife, or the massive orgy with hookers...and most of them are not even that talented. Now as far as the initial blue vs. white video is concerned.
I had no reason to 'barrack' for either group.
Just a bunch of louts either way.

Yet, purely due to the camera angle being on the 'blue' side, I found I was 'barracking' for the guys in blue.
Had the camera been on the 'white' side, I'd imagine the same result would apply.

Even though I'm normally the aloof, lone-wolf type. That tribal sentiment is deep seated...
