What do you mean?
If you are a Caucasian male you are at a distinct advantage in the world today on a mean level. The average white man has a better chance at success in this world verses and average man of any other race.

Why?

You keep saying this, what do you mean, do you mean that the average white man achieves more success on average or do you mean the average white man has a better starting position on average?

You are saying this as if life success is some kind of lottery, while at the same time telling whites to step up their game. Do you not see this glaring contradiction, that's why i called you out for being tribal, you are not logically consistent in your beliefs. If you don't want to be logically consistent or to have a universal morality, then that is fine, but then you are being tribal.

RE: Schism in the alt right
Hey guys, I'm white as snow but 1/8 Cherokee. Can I hate minorities too? They're ruining everything and banging our white princesses who love anal and have a notch count of 35.

For fucks sake, the creator of this forum isn't even white. All this thread did was expose the white supremacists on the forum. Go back to Stormfront.

The U.S has never been homogeneous. Get over it. If you want to only live and interact with white people go live in the fjords of Norway.

Argentinians are considered white, are they allowed or are they too brown for some of you guys?

I hate unchecked and illegal immigration as much as the next guy. And I hate when communities don't assimilate. I also hate seeing billboards in Spanish. If I go to another country, I attempt to speak their language and adopt their customs. I expect others to do the same when they visit or live in my country.

But acting like the U.S. was some white paradise before minorities started taking over is beyond ridiculous.

It's always been diverse. I'd bet that almost half the guys on this forum aren't white.

I haven't banged a white girl since moving to Denver. I love diversity.

We're all Americans. We're all different and that's a good thing. I love banging Mexican girls and letting them make me delicious tacos. I love banging white girls who cook steak and potatoes. I love banging fat assed black girls who can fry up some chicken.

The left destroyed the concept of diversity. 100 years ago, before franchises and strip malls, think how different the south was compared to the east coast. Completely different cultures.

For example, me and Il Bersagliere were talking yesterday about which cities he would crush white girls being a black dude and where I'd kill it with my blue eyes. I play up my gringo features with Latinas. Funny how rational guys can discuss race and not have a problem.

I've been on this forum for 6 years. I like the political turn it's taken. We all got better with girls and have focused our attention on the culture war. But in the last 2 years, a handful of white supremacists have infiltrated the forum. It's probably the reason we have lost a bunch of great dudes like BlurredSevens and Tuthmosis.

A white man has a better starting position, period. I have seen it first hand. We can discuss it but it is quite evident to me. Please inform me how good black people have it, I am all ears. The reason they call us blacks the canary in the coal mine is because if shit goes wrong in America it hits us first and hard.

Clearly I'm not white - so I can't believe in white nationalism - but maybe nationalism ? Perhaps patriotism is a better word.

Is it possible for a man to support economic populism and patriotism while simultaneously rejecting white nationalism? Or is the well poisoned because we have some Nazi sympathizers in our ranks?

I think you can support economic populism and patriotism and reject white nationalism.

POC in large numbers want to leave their POC dominated countries to live in white dominated countries, and not the other way around. That's just fact.

It seems to me like POC don't seem to have the same reverence for western values when they immigrate to the USA for example. Most don't respect 1A for example ( lose their shit over criticism and want hate speech laws). Most don't respect 2A. Most want to tax whites to benefit POC. There are exceptional he of course. Guys like kaotic and Lothario get it. But even they say most people in their communities don't.

I like POC, but I don't want too many here because we'd reach a tipping point where all that was built to make this country great would eventually be lost.

No hate, but preservation.

I think there's millions of American immigrants who respect the 1A maybe slightly less with 2A.

Let's not forget white SJW's who are the spearhead of the suppression of 1A because of their self loathing.

We've already reached a tipping point of "too many" I think we'll do just fine minorities are waking up and realizing the BS the left is selling them. Look at how many voted for Trump compared to the last few elections.

Agreed.

This is a very great description !

Quote:I would classify the majority of the forum and people like Mike Cernovich in this bracket.

Oh absolutely I would !

Quote:White nationalists are certainly represented on this forum, and advocate for somewhat similar things as American nationalists.

They advocate for the resurgence in pride of being white, as well as for Christian values and family structures of the past to be rekindled.

On the other hand, they look down on any kind of intermarriage of different races ('miscegenation'), and desire the creation of a white ethnostate in the US, which will be governed by white people, with the interests of white people in mind.

Which is fine, they had a somewhat of a voice here - and that last paragraph is what rubs me wrong about them.

Quote:I think this recent kerfuffle is symptomatic of American nationalists (centered around being inclusive of all sharing an American Identity) not being on board with many of the fundamental ideas underlying white nationalism (centered around only people sharing a white skin color). Both have been put under the same label of 'alt right', and now American nationalists are being put in a position where they must make the differences in the two ideologies clear.

Yeah they've definitely been blended together.

I think I've realized what I truly am - a patriot who loves the country he's in.

It's that simple.

Do you mean all else being equal, you're lacking in argumentation, you can't just say a white man has a better starting position, when that is clearly not true for many whites who have worse starting positions than better off blacks.

Try to think it through. A trailerpark resident to a methhead mother is not better off than a middle class black family, do you honestly believe that?

If this son of a trailerpark methhead makes it to college, should he give up his spot to a black kid from a priviledged family?

Both of you have some valid points to make. The general idea is that all things being exactly equal, a black guy might have a harder time getting a job, finding a decent mate, etc. than a white guy from the exact same economic strata. This is due to a history of oppression that has relegated many black people to the poorest rungs of American society, thereby giving them a connotation of violence, stupidity, and ratchet behavior.

To be fair, anti-blackness has been an integral part of American culture since its inception...and no, prejudices like that don't immediately go away once Congress passes some civil rights legislation. That attitude was spawned from slavery, propagated through atrocities like the Tulsa/Rosewood massacres and Jim Crow, and then cemented by the current behavior of many poor black Americans, whose communities were ravaged by the CIA flooding their neighborhoods with drugs.

Obviously, however, a white kid from a trash upbringing is going to have it harder than a middle-class or rich black person, that's undeniable. The problem with affirmative action and theories of privilege is that they aren't nuanced at all. Yeah, a white kid from a trash upbringing might have a slight advantage in life over a black kid from a trash upbringing, but both are VASTLY behind a kid of ANY race who is raised in a middle class household. I don't think I'm saying anything particularly groundbreaking here, this should be common sense.

I believe that class is significantly more important than race in America, however I am very open to hearing the experiences of others in this regard. I have spent most of my life in metropolitan California where race is much less of an issue. I mean, in an area where upper-middle class Indians, Chinese, Whites, and Nigerians live within shouting distance of each other, it's difficult to claim that one group is privileged over another. Could be completely different in other parts of America, I have no idea.

In response to weambulance's post, minorities voted overwhelmingly for Clinton due to a variety of factors. Foremost was the fact that the media kept screaming about how a Trump presidency would mean the literal genocide of all Muslims and Mexicans in America, which, quite understandably, scared the shit out of many people. I will be the first to argue that white people definitely face some racial hatred and animus in America, but it would be disingenuous to claim that people of color are under no danger from white supremacists either. Plus, vicious attacks on minorities (including Europeans like Italians, to be fair), are par for the course in American history. The media basically painted a Trump presidency as a return to the horrors of civil rights-era strife and mass attacks on minorities, as were seen on Muslims/brown people after 9/11. This was easily the most significant factor in why they voted D en masse.

RE: Schism in the alt right
Look at the posts from Kona and Atlanta Man in this thread. Absolutely overflowing with seething resentment towards white people as a whole for injuries they personally never experienced. This is despite the fact that White people are demonstrably the most racially tolerant people on the planet. White people went into the jungles of Africa and South America spreading Christianity and bringing medicine out of pure goodwill. White people have completely opened the societies their ancestors built to non-whites. They have shared the technology that white people invented with non-whites. They have gone far, far out of their way to right the wrongs of the past, to the extent that they have voluntarily disadvantaged themselves legally in favor of non-whites in their own societies (affirmative action). In 2008 fully half the white people in the U.S. voted for a black man to be President, millions of them doing so specifically because he was black and they were excited to prove their belief in a truly colorblind society.

And yet it is never enough. This seething resentment still persists.

White people are tired of being vilified simply for having the temerity to exist. There is nothing wrong with being white. White people are not guilty of any sort of collective historical racial crime. Slavery was not invented by white people. Modern day African-Americans do not have any legitimate claim to grievances over slavery or institutionalized racism by whites. Atlanta Man is spouting Cultural Marxist nonsense, ironically putting forward a victim narrative that has done far more damage to American blacks than white racism has over the past fifty years. Afro-Carribbean and African immigrant blacks with no slave ancestors enjoy great success in the United States. Their black skin does not hold them back. The reason is because they aren't shackled to a victim narrative that blames all of their problems on white people.

White people are tired of thinking and talking about race. They're tired of being called racist and preached at constantly by non-whites harboring loads of resentment over historical grievances. Ironically it is non-whites who insist on vilifying white people as a group that are, more than anything or anyone else, responsible for radicalizing whites and awakening them to be racially aware for the first time.

Stop vilifying whites. The vast, overwhelming majority of white people do not hate non-whites. "White supremacy" is literally a completely non-existent phenomenon at the practical level. There are far fewer actual white supremacists walking around than there are people who believe that the Earth is flat. White supremacy is a boogeyman just like Roosh was made into a boogeyman as a "rape advocate".

"White nationalism" does not mean "Let's establish a 100% pure white ethno-state by murdering all non-whites." (If this confuses you, please research the definition between a nation and a state, they are not synonymous). It is rather, at its most basic, simply the idea that whites as a distinct people and a culture deserve to exist. This is the same right that applies to people of all races and cultures, and is the foundation of true diversity in the world. All people deserve the right to exist and live peacefully. Anyone who accepts White nationalism at the conceptual level must, as a corollary, accept Black nationalism, Asian nationalism, Latino nationalism, etc... It is thus impossible to describe as a racist ideology. It is simply an ideology that recognizes racial and cultural distinctions and embraces them, and therefore seeks to preserve and safeguard this diversity and pass it on to future generations.

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18

I'd be interested to hear any stories Atlanta Man and Kona have of personally being discriminated against? There is no advantage to being black or white in the US currently, or some might even argue it's better to be black as companies are keen to recruit ethnic minorities to show a diverse workforce and to meet quotas (which do exist and aren't some sort of white-supremacist bogeyman).

I do not have any resentment toward white people in general, to do so would be to resent members of my own family. My argument is for Affirmative Action specifically. I did not vilify all white people and I don't see how you got that from my posts. For the record I am 41 years old and I have personally suffered due to racism on a personal level, my mother is 74 and she suffered due to institutionalized racism and segregation as did my father (may he rest in peace). My family's property in Mississippi was sold for pennies on the dollar in the 50's because my family was getting out of the Jim Crow south and had no options, it would be nice to have those acres now. My uncle was shot by the KKK in 1958 , I never got to meet him.

Do not presume what people have or have not been through. Institutionalized racism and segregation robbed my family of a lot of opportunity and had a lasting impact on my mother and father. I could tell you the impact on my grandfather but I don't want to write a novel on RVF.

Thank you for contributing your perspective. I thought your responses were pretty rational. I think it is difficult to get people to understand the "other side" because for a lot of us being white is like breathing air. We do it every day and don't understand the advantages we live with because we have not experienced anything else. I have listened to a couple of my minority buddies and listened to their frustrations and I still have trouble understanding, so I think sometimes there is a wall there in getting people to understand what they have not experienced.

Oh well, still enjoyed the discussion and the different views. The fact that we can argue opposing sides and express how we see things without fear is something that I see as truly American.

Personal Story 1- Moving to the West End
When I was attending Morehouse for a year I moved to West End in Atlanta because the rent was cheap and I was poor. I had a 1996 Chevrolet Impala which to me was a normal American car. In the space of one year I was pulled over 20 times and arrested 3 times for gun possession even though the gun was legal. The second time I went to court for the gun charge the copier was broken so the Judge tore the relevant statue out of the GA criminal code and told me the next time I get pulled over show the police the code so I won't get arrested. The next time I was pulled over the cop refused to read the paper and arrested me anyway. The gun was in the glove box and the box and receipt of purchase were always in the car with me. Every time I got arrested I had to bond out, go to court repeatedly, and spend money I did not have.

Personal Story 2 My Sober DUI

I was pulled over for no reason by a cop intent on searching my car, he claimed I was drunk so he did a field sobriety test and a Breathalyzer. I blew a 0.00 and passed the test. He claimed I was on drugs and arrested me and forced me to get a blood test which was negative. I spent the night in jail, had to bond out , go to court for 4 months until the GBI sent my results back negative and dropped the charges.

In both cases the cops had no reason to pull me over, my license and insurance were valid, and I was doing nothing wrong. Those are just 2 of my stories and every time I apply for a professional license (I have a law licence, and I a USPTO practitioner license, and soon a medical license) I have to fill out a shit ton of paperwork and have a hearing to explain all the arrests even though I have never been convicted of a felony. Due to that bullshit DUI arrest my DC Bar licence was held up for 4 months.

I will make an analogy that I think most guys will understand.

I am 6'4 and it helps a lot with women. I never really think about it because I just am. I have slept with 100+ women, but a short dude I am friends with told me that the reason I was so good with girls had a lot to do with my height. I kind of took it as an insult and was a little pissed off. He then said something that made me understand-he said the last 10 chicks I banged were all 5'9 or taller, to me they were short but for girls they were tall. He also said that my height makes me stand out and gives me a presence. I thought about it and he was right, being tall had helped me immensely but I never recognized it because it was just something I was. Being white is kind of like that, it is something you are that is somewhat advantageous and you don't realize it because you are just living being you.

Dwelling on it serves no purpose and only makes you bitter.

You are following the Saul Alinsky playbook perfectly without even realizing it: making the personal political. You are taking your family's racial experience and using that as a basis for national policy. Do you see how absolutely ridiculous that is? What you are doing is no different than a white guy who was mugged by black teenagers and uses that as a rationale to vilify all blacks as a group. Most of the Stormfronters you pillory think exactly like you: they take a highly personal view of race based on their own or family experience and erroneously project it onto all black people.

Here's some uncomfortable real talk: yes, many blacks have suffered throughout the history of the United States due to racism. That's simply an inevitability when you have millions and millions of people of different racial and cultural backgrounds living in close proximity over hundreds of years. Some bad things are going to happen. But far worse was happening in Africa, and is happening even to this day. Blacks slaughtering other black people by the millions. Slavery is rampant in Africa as we speak. Fucking cannibalism is a reality in parts of modern day Africa.

So please don't play the victim and act like your relatives have undergone some unique type of suffering that was only possible at the hands of racist white people. Whatever they experienced, however bad it may have been, was inarguably superior to living in a hut in Africa or and being enslaved or hacked to death and cannibalized by a rival tribe.

And there's the most uncomfortable truth of all: modern day African-Americans, despite their incessant whining about historical grievances and racism, benefited far more from slavery than any white person today. If they would deny this fact, they should immediately self-deport to Africa. Because that's where they would be if American slavery had never happened. I do not say that with the intention of coming across as mean or insensitive, or as a justification or excuse for slavery. It's simply a fact, and is the glaring elephant in the room when blacks continually bring up slavery, institutional racism and other historical grievances: if it were not for those things, they wouldn't be here at all, they'd be somewhere far worse!

Did you not read the guy's last post about having no ill will towards white people? Disadvantaged people far more from a system than directly at the hands of individual people from a higher class. This is a mirror image of the liberal vitriol directed at poor white people. Both are rooted in deep-seated systems of oppression, they just manifest themselves in different ways.

To give you an example, my family in India are upper-caste Brahmins who are descended from minor nobility. My grandmother has in her employ a low-caste woman who has been with our family since her childhood. My grandmother has fed, clothed, and sheltered this woman since her mother died, and went out of her way to get her married and educate her. Still, though, thanks to an ancient caste system that treated the lower classes like animals, the low-caste woman was born into a position of crippling poverty and servitude to the upper castes. If it hadn't been for my grandmother, she would have been one of the wretched poor living in the slums of India. Obviously living in my grandmother's house is a vastly better living situation than that, but the real issue is the systemic and historical inequities that would have otherwise put her in the ghetto to begin with.

The real question is exactly how to address these inequities, and to that I have no answer. Obviously it's not aggressive socialism or widescale affirmative action--these things open the door to all kinds of institutional fuckery. I think it's a question worth addressing, however. Think of all the raw talent that gets wasted due to poverty. Think of all the kids who could go out and benefit the world that get shot, stabbed, or sucked into drug addiction. We could be a lot stronger as a nation if we try to curtail the extent to which historical inequities disadvantage large groups of people. This, for the record, includes poor people of every race.

Scorpion's post directly relates to your points because he's demonstrated that you benefit from both the colour of your skin via affirmative action as well as what's happened to your ancestors via collective white guilt and being able to live in America.

And as it stands today, it would be illogical for even POC men to support affirmative action (no matter the short-term selfish benefit) because it favours women joining the workplace, thus dissolving the nuclear family, devastating birth rates and civilisation.

The problem with trying to weigh the scales of "historical inequity" trying to correct for history is that it always fails, epicly, and has huge potential for abuse.

Better to level the playing field so that today everyone has equal opportunity to achieve what they desire - and that means getting rid of biased measures such as affirmative action.

How on earth did you get that from their posts? I saw nothing of the sorts. In fact, I've met a number of black forum members in person and not only didn't they bring up race in person, but when we've chatted about it in messenger apps they seemed to me like complete racial realists-- in fact I remember them talking down about members of their own race more than anything.

Quote:White people are tired of being vilified simply for having the temerity to exist.

The black guys I've met would agree with you.

Quote:White people are tired of thinking and talking about race.

Obviously you aren't, and it seems like a lot of members on this forum can't *not* talk about it.

Quote:Stop vilifying whites.

I haven't seen one poster here vilifying whites. That strawman you're punching is pretty flimsy. It is funny, however, that you brought up Roosh considering his past run-ins with white nationalists who labelled him as a brown untermensch guilty of miscegenation and race dilution in "white countries".

Quote:It is rather, at its most basic, simply the idea that whites as a distinct people and a culture deserve to exist.

I was unaware somebody was denying you the right to exist.

Quote:Anyone who accepts White nationalism at the conceptual level must, as a corollary, accept Black nationalism, Asian nationalism, Latino nationalism, etc... It is thus impossible to describe as a racist ideology.

This line of reasoning always struck me as a cop out. "Look, I'm not racist-- I can't be! I support Black nationalism, and Asian nationalism as well!". Not to mention that condescendingly telling people they don't understand the concept of a "nation" when it seems like you don't either is a bit rich. What historical basis does a nation for "whites" have? Asian nationalism? Asians hate other Asians. Latino nationalism? The term Latino is a government invention.

I really respect you for your incredible contributions to the forum, but this is also a platform for a necessary debate.

I agree with thebassist that American nationalism is something that almost all of us are on board with. But I've spoken with a number of forum members and we've agreed that the rather new emergence of the white nationalists on this board has been a little more than off-putting and has led to respectable members either leaving the boards for good or completely avoiding a large percentage of the forums. I think we agreed that it was disconcerting that a lot of members who hold a lot of sway don't even seem to have met other users in real life.

It's hardly a cop out. White nationalists clearly don't want to stop Black nationalism in Africa nor Asian nationalism in Asia. They just want to ensure ethno-nationalism can exist for their country as well, instead of their country being the only one that *must* be multicultural.

What does it matter about historical basis? What matters is today, and at this moment whites are declining population.

I'm not white (as the dozen+ members I've met can attest to) but I am wholeheartedly in favour of white nationalism.

Why? Because it's essential if we want to keep modern civilisation.

Leaving aside the history of white people building civilisation even, just look the voting biases this past election: if the white population were any lower, we'd have Killary in power. Minorities vote left and that's a simple fact.

So for self-preservation for all men and civilisation as a whole, we need to support white nationalism.

It seems to me that no-one is arguing that natives shouldn't be the majority (>50%) in their country. There is more debate about how this is achieved and how much it should be.

As Phoenix has stated previously, being reactionary is good but fascism is dangerous territory.

This discussion would be better served by discussing what measures should be taken and how to ensure all races are treated fairly even with a trend towards increasing white population.

Next time just type "The more we give them damn darkies the more they bitch. We even gave them a president" it will say you some keystrokes.

I don't know how my posts show resentment towards white people. My post specifically targeted individuals that refused to accept responsibility for their own actions.

I clearly explained how I felt about Richard Spencer (who's actions this thread is about) refusing to take responsibility for doing the Heil Hitler. It was a a conference of a group who's name, logo, and doctrine is just a little sneaky way to be racists.

I said at least five times "if you want to be a Nazi, be a Nazi" in this thread.

This post from my man Scorpian pretty much is exactly what I resent. It is a flat out refusal that any racism exists in America at all. Someone is refusing to take any responsibility for it in any way whatsoever. None, because well it just doesn't happen.

His opinion is "how can racism exist when we give you so much cool stuff like affirmative action and Barack Obama" and I'm just so sick of hearing it.

And how exactly does he know I haven't ever personally experienced something racist that has negatively impacted my life?

That is the argument these people that refuse to admit racism always use. I wasn't sprayed with a fire hose, but I have had a cop tell me i had the right to see the bottom of his boot, not the radar gun.

It may not be sprayed with a fire hose bit in the ass by a German Shepard bad, but its something. And I could tell thousands of other stories just like it. The problem is, so can so many other minorities. I guess we all just ran into the same single bad apple cop over and over, because according to Scorpian racism has been over for a long time.

And let me reiterate why I am sick of the "well we gave you affirmative action" argument, and relate it personally.

I graduated from a top twenty university that happens to be located in an incredibly racist city. Pamphlets given to students about areas around the school to avoid. White kids and minorities got different pamphlets because certain areas were dangerous for different reasons, some overlapped. I got the one that told me where to go to not get shot by cops, the white kids got the one that told you where black guys were going to rob you.

That's not the point, but since i got good grades, there were always those that told me it was affirmative action, not my study habits and work ethic. In fact a lot of people , staff included, told me affirmative action is why I got in.

After that, I spent nine years as an Officer in the United States Navy. I'm very proud of what I accomplished during that time. I was promoted very fast. According to some, it wasn't because of my excellent performance during combat or training, it was affirmative action.

I'm tired of myself, and other mnoritites having to just brush it off when affirmative action is thrown in our faces. Its just another way for white folks to deny racism exists.

And apparently white people are tired of talking about racism. I guess they missed that whole election thing. White people like talking about how it doesn't exist in this case.

I really don't like being told why I believe. I love white people, and I love America. That's why I fought for it.

Again, i just wish people would take responsibility for their own words and actions.

Aloha!

There was a great deal of frustration, resentment and underlying anger in the text of the posts. Atlanta Man essentially confirmed as much when he subsequently revealed his personal and family history that ingrained those feelings in him.

I am supremely tired of talking about race. It's obviously a very divisive issue and I'm more interested these days in how religion can act as a unifying force that transcends race. But race obviously exists and we can't ignore it, especially in a secular society that has killed God: without religion, race is the only unifying force that provides any meaning whatsoever, and when race is politicized in a Marxist context (the sort of grievances and collective guilt Atlanta Man was referencing) it becomes highly damaging to society as a whole.

Go read the posts from Kona and Atlanta Man in the last few pages of the thread. They both clearly have grievances with whites, and view "white people" as a racial bloc with a very noticeable degree of negative sentiment.

(12-01-2016 06:22 PM)Space Cowboy Wrote:  I was unaware somebody was denying you the right to exist.

It's actually kind of funny you say that. It sounds very non-controversial, right? Obviously white people have a right to exist. But no, that's actually a very controversial statement in the current politicized racial environment. In fact, it gets you labeled a fascist white supremacist, as just happened yesterday at Purdue: http://www.indystar.com/story/news/colle.../94667550/

It is absolutely not a cop-out, and obviously I generalized my "-Nationalisms" or else I'd be there all day listing them. Suffice it to say I support the right of any racial, ethnic or religious group (or subset of that group) to exercise self determination and maintain its homogeneity if it desires to do so. I view any sort of forced association, integration or miscegenation as grossly immoral and in direct violation of the rights of those people to continue their free existence. This is a right that extends to all mankind and that I view as God-given. It is nothing less than the right of existence itself. It is the first right upon which all others are incumbent.

There are not a lot of white nationalists on the RVF, and few who are even sympathetic to the white nationalist viewpoint (among whom I would classify myself, given that I support racial nationalism as a concept intrinsically tied in with freedom and self-determination for all peoples). But I personally consider myself more of a Christian Nationalist if anything. To the extent that I get involved in discussions of race at all these days it is only if I feel that there was something that needed to be said (usually there is not, the topic makes Seabiscuit look sprightly in comparison).

My posts in this thread were made in response to the collective guilt arguments being put forward by Kona and Atlanta Man, which I regard as invalid and frankly immoral. Collective guilt is a Marxist idea that poisons interracial dialogue and if left unchecked ends in violence. Nothing good comes of blaming an entire group of people for the actions of other members of that group, and this applies doubly when the perpetrators of said actions are all dead. People become apoplectic when collective guilt is applied to Blacks, Hispanics or Jews, but blaming all white people for slavery or slandering them as Nazis is perfectly acceptable in the current political discourse. I reject that standard and felt the need to speak against it.

That is all I have to say.

I wrote a long post that I just binned because the whole debate is muddied beyond mortal comprehension.

Firstly, let's not pretend that the plight of the black man in the US is not considerably different in nature to that of the native islander of Hawaii or the indigenous Indian of the North Americas. Those are two separate things, and if we try to drag them into the same debate then we're just going to end up in a shitstorm of epic butthurt.

All I know is this. Left wing political correction of human nature by law under threat of fine or imprisonment is poison. We should know better.

No matter the intent, it always makes worse the problems it tries to solve.

Approach a sitting man and demand forcefully that he remain sitting. What will he be inclined to do?

There is no advantage to being black or white in the US currently, or some might even argue it's better to be black as companies are keen to recruit ethnic minorities to show a diverse workforce and to meet quotas (which do exist and aren't some sort of white-supremacist bogeyman).

We have both done that.

Now, I'd like to hear some stories about how white guys have been discriminated against just for being white.

Let's hear some personal accounts of this vilification.

Aloha!

White people like talking about how it doesn't exist in this case.

...
Aloha!

So affirmative action muddies the waters of actual accomplishment and gives rise to racism due to perceived favouritism?

(12-01-2016 03:08 PM)scorpion Wrote:  Look at the posts from Kona and Atlanta Man in this thread.

I really don't like being told why I believe. I love white people, and I love America. That's why I fought for it.

Again, i just wish people would take responsibility for their own words and actions.

Aloha!

You've perfectly articulated my own argument against affirmative action from the moral perspective: it robs capable non-white people of the public recognition and earned pride they deserve from their hard work and success. Under affirmative action it's inevitable that people will view successful non-whites who benefited from AA with skepticism, because it's impossible for others to know to what degree that person benefited from a more lenient standard. Without AA, there is a single standard. There is no question that whoever meets the standard is qualified, regardless of race. That means that there can be no argument whatsoever that the non-whites who qualified under that standard are in any degree the inferior of the whites who also qualified. The entire issue disappears.

Also, you must recognize that your experiences are simply the inevitable result of multiculturalism and the agglomeration of different racial groups into limited spaces (especially urban environments). Your experiences were not due to some unique racial animus present in white people. Diversity + Proximity = War. It's the entire reason that unique racial and cultural groups emerged over time to begin with.
