Thank you
I just wanted to take a moment to thank the forum for all that it has done for me. You people are the reason I’m still alive and didn’t do something drastic. I’m in a much better place now and it wasn’t psychiatry or medication that got me here. The camaraderie of fellow men that got me to this place. I’ve been working out and practicing martial arts and am in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life. I still don’t have a girlfriend though but that has taken a back page in my life. There’s probably nothing I can do they ever repay you guys but I want to share my thanks anyways. It’s funny the world tries to paint us as the evil misogynists but without you guys I probably would’ve killed myself or committed a serious crime. There is however one more thing though I need help with I still find my cognitive functioning is quite low. As in I have trouble composing paragraphs and staying focused. I want to become a better contributor to this form it is the least I can do conceding how much it’s helped me. I was wondering if there was any medication or exercises I could do to improve my cognitive ability. But overall I wanted to thank Roosh and forum for their continued support. I never have a father in my life and you’ll have offered me the mush needed masculine guidance in my life

RE: Thank you
If we are doing thank you's in this thread, I would like to show my appreciation for all of you who post here.

I found this place at a difficult time in my life and I've transitioned now to a point now where I just passed a very important exam in the skiing pyramid which is all part of my grand plan to get o where I want to be. I would never had got there if it wasn't for the no alcohol wagon thread and various other avenues for self improvement and mindset found here.

I can only express my thanks by trying to post useful stuff myself for those yet to discover Rvf.

Keep rocking OP. Also, as fellow thought criminal Paracelsus said, read Gorilla Mindset and follow it's author on Youtube. You will not regret.

Half of the battle is realizing you have a problem and its fixable on your own. We overmedicate because this has become difficult and hard to deal with. I am glad you chose not to do that. A part of the red pill is to discover what reality truly is and how you can properly make adjustments.

Keep us updated on where you are at with things and with the girls. And concerning composing paragraphs and staying focused? Practice.

Glad we could help.

As far as improving cognitive ability, if you're already doing martial arts then that's sufficient exercise for neuron growth. Avoid medication that's not prescribed to you. Some nootropics mentioned here and on Mike's site may help, and above all, practice and make it a habit.

Friend, don't know your story, but when a man talks about cognitive function to me the first thing I ask is "have you done a male hormone panel recently?"

Have you?

I am still feeling a bit depressed though. I've tried my luck trying to find a girl with autism/aspergers to be my girlfriend but that hasn't worked out so well. They usually want to date a guy without Aspergers and they're pretty hard to find given the gender ratios. I need some advice on how to proceed. I don't think i will do that well regular girls I've tried that in the past and it hasn't worked out for me. I know the player life style is not for me but I'd still like to have a steady relationship with a good girl.

I just wanted to thank everybody again for putting up with me. I come asking for help one last time I’ve made some significant improvements in my life but I’m still battling severe depression and suicidal thoughts. I’ve talked to my therapist but they don’t seem to be helping what do they know about being a man 21st century. The reason I obsess over my autism is seems to a stranglehold on my life when it comes to meeting friends and girls. I’ve talked to a few of you and some think I don’t have it. What I’m looking for is not a cure. But some kind of treatment that would make significant improvements to my condition and cognitive functioning. I found a few online but they claimed autism was caused by vaccines and not by the mother’s age at birth. I know there are few members on here with autism or have family members that struggle with it does anyone know of any effective treatment

Wish I did bro, wish I did. It's a real struggle. I'm not sure where on the spectrum you are and your exact diagnosis.

The one story I've heard is from my wife's aunt (RIP). My wife's male cousin was always a bit weird and had trouble fitting in back in the 90s before aspergers and autism was as well understood as it is now. My aunt-in-law tried to help him, but interestingly said what he did was obsessively watch people for a long time. He did not intuitively get social cues and whatnot, but basically by brute force was able to approximate social behavior because he really wanted to fit in. I met him and wouldn't have known at all he was somewhere on the spectrum.

In light of this, what i suggest is lots of people watching. Go to the mall, coffee shops, cafes, etc where you can hang out close to enough to people to overhear them without it being odd. Just watch people interact.

Another thought - have you looked up autism communities online? I wouldn't know how helpful they are, but I'm sure those communities may have suggestions for you on helping higher cognitive functioning that aren't fake.

How about some horse therapy? You get a horse, ride around, no more autism. Here's a link: http://www.myasdf.org/site/media-center/...e-therapy/ Maybe you'll meet a hot autistic cowgirl.

Now if that doesn't work, or if you think this is better, here is my offer:

If I can verify you aren't messing with me, and you can use my miles, I'm willing to give you an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii. You can stay in your own little area and chill at the beach, or you can party with me, or we can go fishing, whatever it takes. You stay as long as you want.

Its either Hawaii or horse therapy my man. Both ideas seem pretty cool to me.

Aloha!

RE: Thank you
Dude,

First up. Let me give you a hug.

I completely relate to your feelings & emotions about this forum. I too, was on a path to complete self destruction until I found this place & these men & the tough love I was craving. The purity of the camaraderie here is something I cherish & keeps me coming back every day. I am so glad you have found your experience here similar. It shows character & humility on your part. Nice work brother.

Quote:There’s probably nothing I can do they ever repay you guys but I want to share my thanks anyways.

You're already paying it back. Just being the best man & version of yourself is all that anyone around here wants for you & from you. Your OP shows that in spades.

Quote:It’s funny the world tries to paint us as the evil misogynists but without you guys I probably would’ve killed myself or committed a serious crime.

Me too.

Quote:There is however one more thing though I need help with I still find my cognitive functioning is quite low. As in I have trouble composing paragraphs and staying focused

I have this issue as well. I would like to be able to communicate more effectively on this board but I have found that my anger often overwhelms my ability to do so. Does that sound like your experience?

I have done extensive reading pertaining to my situation both on & offline & have always found that more information will always lead to clarity that I can then use to combat the confusion & anger. Once I have a proper understanding of a situation I find that these things will melt away & I am left with clarity & an ability to express myself much more cogently.

The other thing has been listening to much of Stefan Molyneux's podcasts (primarily the call in shows) & more recently I started therapy as I realised that in order to expedite the transformation I am wanting to achieve I had read enough to get a decent understanding but admitted to myself that a professional would help me achieve this faster by being able to combat my own confirmation bias. It is really helping a great deal.

If you wanna talk more about all of that stuff, hit me up with a PM & we can start there.

I am very impressed with your dedication to self & you deserve to know that you are not alone & are in fact a giant in this world. The vulnerability in your OP tells me this.

Great fucking post man. Keep it up!

Clap

Oh & meditation has been intrinsic to the process as well. If you are looking for thought clarity start there. Am happy to talk about that also if you want some pointers. Smile

Knowing how lopsided the ratios are, you should realize that you can't limit yourself to autistic girls. You need to learn to relate to normal women. Some guys are naturals at it, and you're not one of them. Neither was I. That just means it'll take some work.

Treat it like any other skill that you can become good at with enough repetition, like playing guitar or shooting free throws. First, do ridiculously well at the things that are entirely within your control (fitness, style), then get yourself as much exposure to women as possible. Join things that interest you, cold approach women, set up dates on dating apps, whatever it takes to get you interacting. Even though you can't naturally relate to the typical woman, over time you'll get a feel for what behaviors they respond to. Again, for you it'll just have to be a skill that takes some practice.

Like you I started with absolutely no ability to interact positively with women, so I can tell you firsthand that drastic improvement is possible with enough persistence.

OP, take faith in your writing. Your opening is fairly long, but it is also called "stream of consciousness." Either way, I understood you. Clearly. You have a stream that Michael Savage would appreciate. That is a high compliment.

I do not sense "quite low" cognitive ability. If you have trouble composing paragraphs, then shorten them to 5 or less sentences: Thesis sentence (this is what this paragraph is about), and a few supporting sentences that all point to the thesis and answer the important question: "So What?"

Do you find yourself digging deep into areas that other people just cannot/will not follow?

Does your stream-of-conscience take you into realms that kill conversation?

Welcome to the Red Pill. You are not alone. Perhaps you do have some difficulties in our "normal" society. But here you are, among other men, welcome.

Yes, you deserve a valuable woman. Do not doubt it. Maybe a culture change helps (AWALT and all that). Please do not despair. "Teh interwebs" can afford you opportunities outside our toxic culture. I wish you years of success, understanding you (and many of us) will have frustration along the way!

RE: Thank you
Recently I read Elliot Rodger's scary manifesto (and the wonderful accompanying thread on here that started right after the shootings).

It occurred to me not too long after finishing - I had the same clueless, meandering frustration about three years ago. I wasn't a ticking time bomb, but I was a consistently negative person that people wanted to avoid. My mood tended to depend on whether I was lucky enough to score pussy that week, and I constantly complained about how something wasn't right with the dating scene. An uncertain future laid in front of me, as I had recently begun my late 20s and it was obvious my decent-enough looks were going to fade.

I'd already known for a bit that there were men who agreed with me online about the state of the West - Return of Kings was step 1, and I think Matt Forney's "case against female self-esteem" was the first article I ever read. Joining this forum, though, made coping with this a daily part of my life.

Thanks for all the advice so I recently applied for a biotechnology course at my local university and got accepted. I’ve always found biology fascinating my grandfather was PhD in chem at Cambridge and part of me wants to carry on the family tradition of being scientists. But after hearing all the suggestions part of me yearns to travel. My luck with girls is poor to say the least and I was hoping by traveling I could get a few more notches under my belt if someone would help me. I was thinking maybe I could take a year before I go back to university but just to explore the world I think that would do wonders on my depression. As I’m only 21. I was also hoping that could meet up with some of you to learn the ropes of game. If anyone is willing to help me could you please PM me
