I got stabbed in the face one of the last times I fought lol.. wrong place, wrong time. I've got a dirty scar, very similar to scarface... through my left eyebrow and up my forehead. Was lucky I didn't get it in the eye.. knocked a couple of the guys teeth out afterwards

Also had a family friend get into a fight.. 4 or 5 guys beat the piss out of him and he was never quite the same. Ended up dying of complications a few years later. One wrong blow and you're fucked.. regardless of whether you're on the throwing or receiving end. Manslaughter charge or permanent injury/death... unless i'm defending myself I prefer not to fight.

I have not gotten in a single fight since starting to pickup on the street in 2002, even though I picked up thousands of girls. I finished highschool in 2000 and until then I had gotten in a lot of fights with a lot of guys for immature reasons but after finishing highschool it all stopped.
I am sure that based on the problems created abroad by gypsies and a few Romanian outlaws, people think that Romania may be dangerous but it's actually very safe.
The penalties are harsh, the prison conditions bad, medical costs including bribes high so the outlaws have wether calmed down or moved to other countries. I don't even see anybody get in fights, let alone get in fights myself.
Years back I almost got in a fight in a club after accidentally touching a guy's shirt with my shoe but it was only an argument in the end.
No stranger bitch deserves me fighting over her, there are so many hot women around here that only morons would get in a fight over one stranger bitch. It would be so beta to get in fights for stranger biatches. When I was in LTRs I would've gotten into fights but it hasn't been necessary, I know how to intimidate others so that they back off.
I have also approached on the street a number of chicks that seemed to be alone but they had their boyfriends very close by (I always study the people around her for a few seconds before approaching) . What their boyfriends do is that they usually come and grab the chicks by the hand and so I back off.
I hit on a chick once, her boyfriend comes and grabs her hand and smilingly he's like "She's hot, ha?" . Another time I hit on a chick and she doesn't just send me off. A guy was looking amused at us from 2 meters away. I ask her "Is he your brother?" and she's like " No, he's my boyfriend" lol . Another time I was on my bike and hit on a bitch and immediately she yells at her boyfriend that was walking 20 meters further ahead that I'm hitting on her. The guy was a pretty big bodybuilder type and he's like "Oh yea? Then that means he's crazy" and he came toward me but I just switched direction with my bike and rolled on. Definitely not getting in a fight for a piece of shit bitch that wants guys to fight over her.
So in the end I am surprised that I never ran into an idiot acting like a white knight and haven't gotten in any fight when picking up but that's a good thing.
Another time I got drunk at a beer fest - had no less than 8 beers that night - and I run into a hot chick I've dated before. Not gonna get in all the details but at one point I kiss her on the lips and slightly makeout with her again and after she says something I get my hand in her pants on her buttocks lol. I leave, come back, the guy that before I thought she was colleagues with was holding her. Later on I find her alone again and she's like that's her boyfriend. I laughed sooo hard I'm like "That was your boyfriend and he didn't do nothing when I was making out with you? Hahaahaha your boyfriend is suuuch a loser haha". She's jokingly like "Come on, you're drunk, go home". I was laughing sooo hard. I kept inviting her to a place I could bang her every time I was running into her and I was supposed to come take her from work at midnight but instead I went for other chicks, I was going to them making fun and grabbing them by the shoulders and asking them to come with me to the place I could fuck them whithin 30 seconds of meeting them lol but though they were laughing, in Romania it's not this easy not even if I'm stoned. then I went to a club where unfortunatelly I sobered up. but damn this chick's boyfriend was a loser to not do anything about me making out with his girlfriend. if a guy kissed my girlfriend, I would have kicked the shit out of him or immediately would have interveened to send him away before he could do something like that.

I've never been in a fight before, i always try to cool the situation down. No sense in getting hurt. I try not to find trouble and trouble doesn't seem to find me.

I do feel like i'm going to find myself in a fight and i'm not prepared in any sense. I want to take some krav maga classes to hopefully overcome that fear.:

Appreciate your honesty. I do believe we attract stuff into our lives. I imagine, respectfully, if any of the guys that have gotten into a fight and really looked at it - could you say you were the victim or were you sort of internally looking it for it? Not a judgement at all. I just know when I am in the wrong mindset shit happens that isn't always fun. And I can see how I contributed to making that event happen. Rarely, when I am thinking of puppies and ice cream does bad stuff happen, but if I am brooding/angered - generally just attract more crap.

^^ YES. Many of times I have succeeded when I shouldn't have and there have been times (fewer) where I didn't succeed but I should have.

Not referencing fights, referencing heart/perseverance/dedication/no quit

Plenty of fights when a smaller guy is more determined and wins. And if the guy is just bigger because he is fatter that doesn't mean much.

But these are just my observations about fights, I rarely get into one.

Got in a drunken fight outside an apartment complex with a buddy a year ago... He had decked me twice that night for no reason (should not let him drink, like a gremlin.. anything after midnight is disaster), and the moment we got back from the party we were at (where I did not want to fight... bunch of hockey players) I opened up with a 1,2,3 combination. He stumbled, then tackled me, got full mount and rocked me for a bit, but i got a foot on his chest and kicked him off. He stumbled back onto a car behind him, I ran up, got ahold of his head, and proceeded to smash his face off the vertical post of the windshield until security showed up and we took off running.

The smashing a face off a car move isn't nearly as awesome as movies make it seem... its definitely effective (dude was a waterfall of blood), but everytime I pulled his head back I caught an elbow to the jaw or nose... It felt like a really gritty three stooges skit where we just hit eachother back and forth.


Ran into him at our college's student union a day or two later, we laughed and grabbed lunch together. Bridge of my nose was split and I had a black eye.. he had cuts all down one side of his face and broken hand bones from accidentally hitting the pavement while he had me mounted. He felt awful for starting the fight.. but we laughed.

Remember this time I was out with my sister after picking her up from a party. One guy who'd been hitting on her all night wouldn't stop harassing her . So I when to confront him and tried to calmly ask him stop bothering her. Out of nowhere he swings at me. Busted my lip. After getting up I take him down and started punching. Hurt him badly. Still feel bad about it but when it comes to family I would go the extra mile. Why is that whenever you try to be the calm guy your the one getting attacked? Maybe my face says hit me

I got my ass kicked in my last fight unfortunately. I was at a house party and had to stick up for one of my boys. He grabbed a girl's ass and some white knight decided to play party sheriff.

Got headbutted in the face. Broken nose and blood everywhere. You can still see finger smears of my blood on my friend's wall haha.

But now I know what it feels like to get seriously injured by someone else. Not afraid anymore.

Here's where the legal world collides with personal safety.

If you throw the first punch, you can get into trouble.

But.

If someone is close enough to punch (or head butt me), then I am punching him first.

Rule #1 is to never let the enemy dictate the terms of the engagement.

If they are close enough to attack you, always assume that they will and attack him first.

It sucks, but at the end of the day i'd rather walk out with all of my teeth and not an assault rap. There are easier ways to feed the ego and get more glory. Though like i said earlier, i really want to try my hand at some form of sport fighting.

The only real time i would say i was somewhat in a fight would have been in high school. I don't consider it a fight since no punches were thrown. I've never had punches thrown at me, it was just shoving which isn't really a fight.

Anywho, I was picked on hard core during those days (dorky 6ft tall guy at 150lbs). Just pushed around and the like. In gym class in the locker room there were these guys that would take towels and make rat tails out of them. They'd always come at me with them so i would hold my belt and we'd posture back and forth.

It was funny and I went along with it.

Well one day this shorter stockier guy named came at me and pushed me into one of the lockers. The school i went to was pretty old and the lockers had these hooks on them which put a cut on my back.

He was pretty big, think semi jacked football about 5'6. I got so pissed i somehow managed to push him on the ground. I screamed at him a bunch of curses. He was laying on his stomach trying to crawl away, so i took my foot and pinned him down. I took the belt in my hand and whiped him down Is back. Kid got a healthy welt from that.

I didn't think it was a big deal, but word got around my school pretty quickly. I hung out with the theatre and music kids. When they found out they were all somewhat taken aback. Ha, now that i think about it, i never really got picked on after that.

Mike, how do YOU decide when its that time to punch first? When he starts talking shit? When he's getting to close? As soon as you feel the tension in the air?

@ Sam - maybe you're right. I think enough anger will make a guy turn into a beast. Maybe start thinking crazy thoughts when you can tell you're gonna have to throw punches soon.

Anytime I've gotten into fights, I've regretted it.

For me, it's not worth it unless I absolutely have to.. not getting too drunk to tell the difference is the first step towards avoiding them.

I've got other goals in life- I don't need internal bruises that take a month to go away. I don't need trouble with the cops, beef with guys I don't know, drama at my hangouts..

I'm a lover, not a fighter.

Four years ago I hit a guy fresh off a line of coke right in the protruding veins of his jacked neck. Then I hit him as hard as I could in the face and broke my hand. As he was bigger and madder than me I quickly left the party.

How did I know to hit him first? Well he was bigger than me, jacked on coke and probably steroids, was drunk and coming at me. I was glad he had a long neck as he had his head back probably to throw a big right hail mary.

I broke a little bone in my hand and it took almost 4 months to get over it. In that time work and life suffered. Trips to the clinic for check ups, x rays, ct scan, casts, recasts, and more casts, physio.....

That shit is not worth it.

Lets be real for a second. Most men I know are big. They work out. Some train martial arts. Some have taken steroids. They are just too strong to be able to fight safely.

I come from a long line of brawlers, but it looks like it ends with me.

I used to get into a decent number of fights, I'm never one to start one but I used to be up and ready to go if someone wanted to fight. I had a buddy who wound up getting slammed on his head and broke his neck. Was in the hospital for like a year and still years later is in and out of the hospital constantly, paralyzed from the neck down, in constant pain and basically lives a life watching tv from bed having other people have to wait on him, hand him drinks, etc.

I know an acquantance or two who got in bar fights, someone falls the wrong way cracks their head winds up in a coma and crazy stuff like that. Even if you "win" a fight, if you actually hurt someone you could to go jail or be paying off someone's medical bills the rest of your life

Perfect example, I have a buddy who's mid 30's been in the mortggage game since way back in good times. Has multiple houses all over the country, owns land down south, has a hot polish girlfriend and a fleet of other girls he's always out with, his gf is cool with the situation, drives a Caddillac CTV and has a fleet of other cool cars, nice house, bikes, the whole 9. He also hustles on the side as well as his white collar gig so kid is doing well. Winds up hitting some guy in a bar over something stupid, didn't even think he hit him that hard but guy falls off his barstool winds up in a coma for a few weeks and also has to have some reconstructive surgery on his face.. Well months later somehow they figure out it was him and the guys he was with, i think they had some survellance footage from the bar as well. He offers another buddy of ours 50k to take the charge don't know exactly what happenned but they eventually figured out it was him, got him for the assault charge and also somehow through that situation got caught up for his hustling as well. Last I heard he was in jail, don't know how long or what the situation is but because he lived not beyond his means but took advantage of his situation and spent money he didn't have a ton in savings. He's losing houses and cars left and right while he's away.

I know we all think these crazy things will never happen to us but they do happen, it's just not worth it in my mind to fight anymore, its a lose lose situation and typically the reason for the fight is so trivial how pissed would you be if you wind up in prison or with a multi million dollar settlement against you for hitting a guy over some skank on the dance floor or stepping on someone's show.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not pussy, I wouldn't leave a friend in a fight without backup and won't backdown if things really come down to it or someone is fucking with my friends or family but overall bar fights are just not worth it.

Just how you can tell if a girl wants to bang, I can tell when a guy wants to fight. It's all eye contact, subtle shit.

Most talk shit but their eyes are telling you to talk the situation down. Every now and then you see the "crazy eyes" and know you better hit first.

Last fight I "walked away" from was at a friend's birthday party. I didn't want to ruin the party. Otherwise I'd have fought.

The guy and two of his friends were talking shit. I said, "We're good," and held eye contact to see what they did next. They didn't come forward or escalate it, so that was that.

If it hadn't have been a party I would have smashed the guy closest to me in the head. His friends would have jumped in but it was a small bar and it would have gotten broken up before they could really wolf pack me.

This is incredibly stupid, by the way, and fighting shouldn't be done for any reason but self-defense.

Years ago some clean cut, well dressed Mexican guy asked my boy for a light while he was smoking; we were in the dark alley area next to a bar ( I know...dumb place to smoke). The guy started out cool then started talking shit out of nowhere calling us faggots saying we were on a date... I told him to fuck off and he immediately tried to sucker punch me. I was boxing at the time and saw him telegraph it so I slipped it and knocked him with a cross then all I remember is waking up off the floor bloody and bruised with lumps on my head. My boy said that 5 of his eses rushed outve the shadows as I was koing their homey. It was a set up, there was a gang doing lots of strong arm Roberies in the area at the time... It was my friends birthday and he kept saying " man I got kicked in the head on my birthday" . He's a good friend to jump in to that! I second

One of them gave me 33 dollars and 2 cents to say sorry. One black dude gave me a picture of his girlfriend, I spat on it and said to "to hell with your girl vato, your all some dead bitches"
