Bolton isn't as bad as people think. He's a semi-neocon but agrees with Trump on China and some other things. He's not quite the hardcore neocon people have been saying he is. Also he voted for Trump when lots of people with similar credentials in Republican foreign policy actively tried to undermine him. He is experienced overall as well. If used correctly he could be a real asset. I wouldn't want him as SoS, but as deputy under a Russia-friendly SoS, I think he could be pretty solid. Either way, he's not in a position to heavily dictate things with smart, strong personalities like Trump and Tillerson above him. I bet he will be used in a way that maximizes his strengths and limits his shortcomings.

To the folks who say Tillerson is not part of the DC echo chamber, you're wrong. He is. The gov't doesn't just make decision without consulting someone as big as Exxon. Tillerson is basically Dick Cheney 2.0.
Yeah, he's an experienced businessman who is pro energy...rationalize it however you want. But this dude has been in cahoots with State, DOE, DOD, and other agencies due to Exxon's reach. It's like Dennis Rodman having connects in North Korea but this dude has them in Brunei, PNG, etc. And like Dick, he might even position his moves, and the US, to benefit him after he leaves office. I'm sure we'll some some sort of "fuck electric cars/clean energy" from him. While I don't like Tesla they've done a great job rolling out new car tech that GM and Ford said consumers don't want....but they learned we do. The only good thing I can see from his is hopefully reviving the Houston economy and stop the "fuck oil derp derp derp" morons.
I was hoping for Patreus for SOS, but I guess the "too many generals" thing got to him. John Bolton would have been great for DHS or some Immigration position.
From Exxon's Saudi website: Today, ExxonMobil is one of the largest foreign investors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. More than 3,000 Saudi nationals work in the joint ventures in which we participate, constituting more than 90 percent of the total workforce.

The problem with finding someone for sectary of state is that you need someone with multiple skills:
1)Run an organization (a mismanaged one at that), 2) form diplomatic policy strategies,3) implement and sell those policies to other countries
So far, none of the candidates except Romney have all those skills. But, Romney is a piece of shit so he's out. That leaves trump picking someone with 2 out of 3 skills and supplementing the missing one (which sounds like Bolton would do). Given that the skill of managing and implementing change within a large organization is probably a less common skill than policy wonk, Rex makes sense. He's not perfect but he seems the best option out of the given choices. If it was me, id still be looking though.

I think Bolton was put there to assuage the neocon/israel block, and I would include Kushner in that block.
Alex Jones' input is very reassuring, this might be a brilliant pick. Trump went out of the box because all the other candidates were, to some extent, part of the system and working for the globalist agenda. I know Alex Jones is a sensationalist and lacks gravitas, but he's got inside info through people like Roger Stone, and he's on our team. Jones has had a pretty positive role in this election cycle.
His read on Tillerson is excellent, you won't find that kind of nuanced 3D take (globalists vs americanists) in the MSM. Tillerson is from the older big oil faction, fighting against the Rockefellers, who founded and owned big oil. The Rockefeller faction has been pushing for global control through a carbon tax/AGW deindustrialization agenda, they've got the likes of BP and Goldman Sachs on their side, and they've been fighting holdouts like Tillerson in big oil board rooms to push their agendas.
It's really useful to understand the history of big oil and its political influences in understanding where we are today, this great documentary by James Corbett really nails it:
“Nothing is more useful than to look upon the world as it really is.”

John Bolton won't be getting a position if Rand has anything to say about it.
Quote:PAUL: You know, I’m going to reserve judgment on Tillerson. But I’ll ask him the same question I’ve asked the others: do you understand the historic lesson that the Iraq war was a failure, a strategic mistake, that’s what Donald Trump says.
I don’t know about Tillerson, but I do know that John Bolton doesn’t get it. He still believes in regime change. He’s still a big cheerleader for the Iraq war. He’s promoted a nuclear attack by Israel on Iran. He wants to do regime change in Iran. So, I think John Bolton is so far out of it and has such a naive understanding of the world. If he were to be the assistant or the undersecretary for Tillerson, I’m an out automatic no on Bolton. He should get nowhere close to the State Department if anybody with the same world view is in charge.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So, automatic no on Bolton as deputy secretary of state. He is also the likely pick on that.
But open mind on Tillerson. What about Mr. Tillerson’s ties to Vladimir Putin?
PAUL: I don’t know that yet. And to me the most important question is are you an advocate for the Iraq War? Do you think that was a good idea? Do you think regime change? Because see these questions keep recurring. You know, Bolton was an advocate for regime change in Libya, so was Hillary Clinton actually. And Donald Trump said it was a mistake. I agree it was a mistake to do regime change in Libya. We became more endangered and actually worse people took over afterwards.
I also think regime change in Syria is a bad idea. And that’s an ongoing question. It’s one of the things I like about Donald Trump, one of the reasons I endorsed him is he thinks regime change is a mistake. But John Bolton thinks completely the opposite. They are diametric opposites.
So I’ll do anything to try to prevent John Bolton from getting any position, because I think his world view is naive. He believes we’re going to spread democracy. We’re going to topple governments everywhere and they’re going to elect Thomas Jefferson. That’s not the way it works in the Middle East.
(Oddly enough, Rand Paul voted to confirm Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State whose bacchanalia of regime change is what set off the Syrian refugee crisis, but what is intellectual consistency when there is a fundraising letter to be sent?)
If this rumor is true, it is really too bad. Rand Paul’s isolationist heebie-jeebies is depriving the incoming secretary of state of one man who could definitely ensure that the staff at State don’t get the chance to sabotage the new administration’s foreign policy.
I have a copy of Bolton's autobiography in a cardboard box somewhere. From my vague memory, he hates the UN, particularly the European side of it, with a passion, and he was a big pusher of the Iraq war.
Not an ideal choice, in my mind, but not a guy I have big problems with as deputy secretary. He'll be taking his orders from the boss, after all.

Roger Stone confirmed my hunch about Romney, Trump was just messing with him, wanted him to grovel as a revenge for him going out of his way to thrash Trump.
Stone also mentioned that one of the things that drew him to Tillerson was that he took on the Rockefellers.

I have to say, Tillerson really is a great pick for secretary of state based on the fact he slugged it out with the New World Order Rockefeller family back in 2008.
Game is the difference between a broke average looking dude in a 2nd tier city turning bad bitch feminists into maids and fucktoys and a well to do lawyer with 50x the dough taking 3 dates to bang broads in philly.
Quote:Suffice to say, anyone who has followed politics for any substantive amount of time knows the inherent issue with an operational entity, The U.S. State Department, whose entire mission has been at the epicenter of left-wing globalist advocacy.
If you go back to rethinking the larger State Dept. challenge, Trump’s nominee, any nominee, will essentially be in charge of a U.S. Department that is comprised almost exclusively of Kerry/Clinton/Obama/Bush/UniParty/GOPe big “G” Globalists.
These entities see themselves as a complete and separate structure of government. They also function as a complete and separate ideological structure of government.
When you accept the scope of the challenge, and recognize it is almost impossible to change the participants therein; and further accept these career embeds will work earnestly and diligently to undermine the structure of a Trump administration at every opportunity; perhaps only then can you identify the specific skill set of a leader who knows how to deliver results within MASSIVELY COMPLEX organizations.
Leaders who know how to operate complex global organizations, mega scale corporations, which, by their very nature, may contain hostile agents to the larger corporate mission – ie. Exxon/Mobil – are not commonplace. Hence, the jaw-dropping compensation those elite titans of industry command.
This is where a hammer (Tillerson) and a scalpel (Bolton) can be a unique partnership toward the deconstruction and restructuring. We knew it was going to take some out-of-the-box thinking to find the specific skills needed if Donald Trump was indeed intending to cut down the anti-American endeavors within the enterprise of the State Department.
Deconstruction and realignment while simultaneously managing/controlling the amount of damage internal agents can do toward larger administration objectives is a tenuous undertaking. Taking the rotting vehicle down to the frame and cutting out the cancerous rust is going to be an epic battle with ZERO Washington DC supporters as Trump endeavors through the restoration phase.
Additionally, the potential economic battle -brought about by foreign nations who take exception to the pending trade realignments- can also be predicted to be waged on the destabilizing battlefield of global oil and energy (dollars as global trade currency). A looming Tillerson brings another unique attribute into the necessary America-First defense armory.
Also - Having T.REX leading the State department is going to trigger liberals for years.

Lots of people were voicing objections to libertarian Andrew Puzder, and he came out with a statement a few days ago to calm some nerves. Surprised no one else has posted this:
Quote:President-Elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday he intends to nominate fast-food executive Andrew Puzder as Labor Secretary. Today, Puzder released the following statement on American workers, immigration, and his plans for the Labor Department:
"My job as a business person is to maximize profits for my company, employees and shareholders. My job as the Secretary of Labor, if confirmed, is to serve U.S. citizen workers – that is my moral and constitutional duty. The public spoke loud and clear in this election, and delivered a mandate to protect American workers. It makes no economic sense to spend trillions on welfare and jobless benefits for out of work Americans while bringing in foreign workers to fill jobs in their place.
“As Secretary of Labor, I will fiercely defend American workers and implement my piece of the ten point plan the President-elect laid out. President-elect Trump's plan to establish new immigration controls will boost wages and ensure that open jobs are offered to American workers first. Hire American and Buy American is our policy, and the one supported by voters in both parties. I will not provide guest worker visas to companies that break the rules, and will support reforms to raise wages for Americans -- I know the system from the inside, and will be the best champion American workers have had. With 94 million Americans outside the labor force, and massive unemployment in our inner cities and among minority workers, my job will be to help these workers find jobs. We also have large unemployment in our immigrant communities, and these communities benefit the most from clamping down on guest worker programs that compete against them.”
He's going to be a loyal soldier and put his ideological differences aside on immigration. The real reason Trump brought Puzder in is to dismantle the regulation web choking the life out of American businesses. Just as I suspected. The immigration platform is easy enough for anyone to adhere to (America first), but getting rid of regulations is a pain in the ass that takes specialized knowledge to overcome.

Rick Perry for Energy Secretary, it's like this nigga is setting up the legion of doom (in a good way) against SJWs. He knows he can't put Romney next to him because the nigga is soft and this time he needs the Calvary.
