A fast food slave driver as Labor Secretary? What kind of joke is that? Looks like back to the sweatshops.

Gmac,
A good rule of thumb I've been using for several years now with old media (MSM) regarding anything, is if they lose their shit over it a la Scott Pruitt for EPA, it is a good cause to support.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

RE: Who should be in Trump's cabinet?
I think if you listed the top 3 scared cows of modern liberalism, global warming would be one of them. So, for Trump to put a skeptic in charge of the EPA is a definite no go for the left. They're going to cry about this one loud and often. CNN was on at the restaurant I ate lunch in today, and they were calling Pruitt a "climate change denier" which is left-speak for someone who is not-of-the-body on the issue. The left has tried to destroy the careers of scientists like Roger Pielke, Jr. and Judith Curry who aren't even skeptics, but failed to fully support the agenda. I don't know what the left can do to derail this nomination, but whatever they can do they'll probably try.

In seriousness though, I have made a lot of money tracking this guy and reading through all of his interviews. He is the king of flipping businesses and commercial paper in the same way people flip houses.

If he's the new Secretary of Commerce, I swear I will feel like a dumbass and a failure in life if I don't figure out how to make myself several times richer during the Trump administration. It should be so much easier with him being in charge of flipping and promoting all American businesses.

Congrats on your take, sir.

Since you are the BSD on this guy and Trump, can you expand on this?

I was researching Ross today and would love to learn some more.

Got News is saying Trump is seriously considering nominating Ted Cruz for Supreme Court. As long as his Senate replacement is good, it's his.

RE: Who should be in Trump's cabinet?
This guy Puzder for Labor Secretary sucks so bad. For importing cheap labor, against minimum wage. Looks like straight-out plutocracy. Previous Labor Secretaries had some respect for wage-and-hour laws and right of workers to organize.

Breitbart: Labor Secretary pick prefers foreign labor to Americans

Quote:President-elect Donald J. Trump is expected to name as his Labor Secretary fast food executive Andy Puzder, who stands diametrically opposed to Trump’s signature issues on trade and immigration — which won him the election.
Puzder is the chief executive of CKE Restaurants, which includes Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.

Advocates for American wage-earners say that Puzder as Secretary of Labor is alarming because he will be in charge of enacting policies that directly impact American workers, whom Puzder believes are “unwilling” to do certain jobs. Puzder has suggested that available U.S. jobs should instead be filled by imported foreign labor.

Puzder has even gone so far as to suggest that he prefers foreign laborers to native-born American workers because foreign nationals are more grateful and have a better “attitude.”

Minimum wage is socialist garbage (telling private businesses what they must pay), and terrible for low skilled workers to get in an industry and get the experience they need to move up.

Puzder is looking good:
- tried to be a rock musician earlier in life
- worked for a private equity firm named after an Ayn Rand hero
- headed up Carl's Jr (one of the tastiest fast food burgers in America)

Sweetness all around!

Fidelity I'm not quite as worried about. They don't have the political clout of the large New York investment banks. They're also not as large as Vanguard or Soros by quite a bit. Most of these companies just run broad range of investments to support retirement plans.

@TooFinePoint: Go work in a factory in Mexico or China then come back and tell us how bad minimum wage is. While I don't agree with 15/hr for factory nor burger flipping, we do need a floor.

Man this nigga Trump is all over the place, some places he's good some places he's cucking big time. Ted Cruz to the USSC? GTFO out nigga, Lyin' Ted is not even a real 'murican. He needs to be deported if anything.

He's doing great with Mattis, McHannon (she knows the works of a small biz), and KellyAnne as picks. Hopefully he doesn't fill the swamp more than he already is. Allen was (and might still be) a thirsty simp that was caught emailing another broad just like Patreus. I'm borderline on Patreus, I like him but nigga got knocked down by a masculine woman with quite a jawline.

Ted Cruz on the Supreme Court would be hilarious for the sum total of liberal tears and triggering to be had over the next forty years or so as Cruz carries out his role as the black-robed Shield Of Christianity. It would also be handy since it knocks the head off a guy and and a movement who otherwise has four years to make mischief in Congress and who knows how to obstruct legislation he doesn't like.

Cruz pro 2 Amendment support is very consistent, this is the think I would like about him.

With him Trump could get a massive support from evangelicals and guns owners he did not get this election.

Why do we need a floor? According to who? Based on what hard data?

Why do I need to work in Mexico to have an opinion on it? Do you think the working poor in Mexico are in dire straights mainly because the (corrupt) government doesn't mandate a minimum wage?

Very emotional reaction.

While enforcing and consistently raising the minimum wage may help most of the current workers of such jobs, it may hurt the owners, the general taxpayer, and the people looking to enter those jobs who simply don't have enough skill/experience/ambition to make it worthwhile (but could acquire those things if they were able to use their current perceived lower earning potential to barter).

Not to mention it is a moral abomination to tell someone else how much of their own money they should give to a third party.

RE: Who should be in Trump's cabinet?
Id love to see Cruz on the bench. I think he's the perfect replacement for Scalia. He lacks charisma, which makes him a bad politician, but he has a sharp mind and is a great debator. Alan Dershowitz (liberal professor of law at Harvard) said Cruz is one of the most brilliant legal minds to go through Harvard - that's saying something!

Scalia was the most talented SCOTUS justice in my lifetime. His arguments are so cogent and clear. His spoken and written arguments put those bitches on the bench to shame. He totally out classes them. I think Cruz has the potential to be near that level.

Take care of those titties for me.

RE: Who should be in Trump's cabinet?
I think that Cruz being a SCJ is actually a good choice.

Yes, I don't like him very much, but:

(1) He is pro Second Amendment (that was one of his campaign promises).

(2) He believes that marriage is a legal union of a man and a woman. Remember how he triggered Ellen Paige* not too long ago.

(3) By making him a SCJ, Trump ensured that he will not be a treat to him in 2020 (if I remember, you are a SCJ for life. And he is 40 or something).

(4) He knows that he will do his best to prove himself to Trump - he saved his life pretty much.

Fidelity is buyside. Buyside has far more power than sellside. Why do you think they aren't in NYC? They don't need to be where the action is as they dictate much of the action.

You hear the NYC names a lot more often but that is by design as buyside wants low profile.

PIMCO, Fidelity, Northern Trust, Wellington, Carlyle Group, etc all are killers.

FMR and Wellington are Uber's biggest backers.

Now of course, Fidelity does 401K, Roth-IRA, and other things but make no mistake, their funds are run by on average, smarter guys than the NYC I-Banks.

http://www.cnbc.com/2015/09/15/cnbc-rank...-2015.html

Soros is basically a speculator so he can do whatever the hell he wants. The NYC fireman's fund isn't going to him looking for 5% returns. If he did have investors angling for annual returns, he wouldn't be able to gallivant thru europe making long plays while countries self destruct over the course of years.

Worrying, but supposedly the Dept of Labor has nothing to do with immigration.

My guess is Trump wants this guy because he's against Unions and has lots of experience. But other than that I can't say for sure.

Yep and I found why:

https://www.amazon.com/Job-Creation-Real...0615436358

The guy is basically for zero regulations.

While he is an autistic libertarian who wants open borders, we don't need to worry about it. The Dept. of Labor has no power over immigration.

I think this may well turn into another case of excellent judgement by Trump. He is playing to people's strengths and keeping them out of areas where they are weak.

We have Sessions for AG and it looks like some military general for DHS. If that can't fix the illegal immigration then nothing will.
