I talk time to time with a girl over text. Whenever we text, I notice that sometimes moments will arise where she'll say something mean, rude, or pretend to be mad.

When I ask her about these things, she always gets defensive and says she's joking. I have a hard time believing her when she says it though. For example, I was texting with her, but then I had to do a little work for a few moments. When I came back to my phone, I saw a bunch of messages where she was literally begging for attention. I thought they were a little ridiculous but figured it's her weird joking and then ignored them and asked her about something else. She then said I don't care what she has to say. I then asked her about it and then she said that she was joking.

In my eyes, it's odd to joke in a way which would convince another person you're angry with them.Can anyone provide any insight into this?

I don't understand why you spend that much time, texting a girl.
Do you enjoy it?
Have you already slept with her?

She's an attention whore. If you're not moving it to meeting in person and escalating any attraction, then you're wasting your time.

Well..... The girl is overseas and we text because she' only has a small chunk of time free since she works the first part of the day and then goes to school until late the 2nd part of the day.

We have calls but not as much I would like. Also, I've seen her in person, but I'm more interested in seeing how things pan out rather than just getting a bang.

She lives oversea, so you won't be able to Ken her.
How about investing the time you spend texting her, into meeting other women?

Don't respond to her attention-whoring, unless she disrespects you. Other than that, just pretends like nothing happened.
