For the longest time I have noticed phonomenon in my life that I cant explain. Whenever I'm unemployed it becomes difficult for me to attracted females. But when I finally get a girl and becoem sexually intimate with her, all of a sudden I somwhow land a job. The reverse is also true: when I find employment girls come my way almost like magic. Its also a common phenomenon that when you get a job other employers conact you for employment also. People may say that this can be easily boiled down to a renewed inner confidence one gains that women sense and are attracted to. But that doesnt explain the fact that girls come to me and contact me from abroad when this occurs without their knowledge of the goings on in my life without me telling them the current state of my affairs. Its almost like destiny.

This is extremely strange. Could there be invisible forces at work beyone one's control making these things happen in one's life? Can someone explain this shit?

If you believe in God, or some other higher power, sure, you could attribute these two things to be related to it.

I see it simply as a snowball effect: Confidence attracts success which inspires confidence which leads to greater success, and so forth.

If you think it's the former, and not the latter, perhaps check out the book and/or movie called "The Secret".

OP, I think this might be linked to the way you see yourself.

For example, if you think that having a job is important for a man, you'll say to yourself "I'm a lesser man, now that I don't have a job".
This will translate into lesser confidence and poor body language, thus repulsing girls.
Then, you'll appear more manly when you have one, as you'll see yourself as a better man.

From my point of view, having a job doesn't help attract women, just by the fact of having one.
(Of course some jobs help, but that's not my point).
You can always lie if they ask you what your job is, and as long as you don't feel any guilt and strongly think you're the shit, you won't have any problem getting laid.

When you got the job, was HR involved? Or hired directly via a manager who was male?

That'll be your answer. HR touchy-feely types are not qualified to hire people. They base their decisions on how the candidate "seems". You could be an absolute genius in your field, but if you show up to their interview, and you don't come across as "confident" and "enthusiastic", they'll hire the next moron who does.

So it's probably because of that. When you were getting laid, your appearance & demeanor changed in a way that made hirers see you more favourably.

For a decent part of last year I was "technically" unemployed: I was working on starting my small business and had yet to earn a single dollar, totally reliant on side-hustles. Living every day with overall negative cash flow.

I honestly never did better with women in my life.

Drive a new-ish car that's in good repair, dress and carry yourself well (and that doesn't have to mean expensive), take care of your grooming/appearance, and spit good game and at least give the impression you have interests and ambitions in life, and don't seem ashamed of who you are or where you're at and thousands upon thousands of young women out there in the Western world won't give a damn if you're 30 and live in your mama's basement. They really won't.

I think its just about being happy.
If you're sad and depressed or embarrassed about not having a job, then girls will feel that negative energy.
Just like any salesman - being "on" and projecting happiness will make you more likeable and enjoyable to be around. Nobody wants to be around an angry unhappy dude.
OTOH, if you can live in a state of daily happiness and believe that the future will be good - then other girls will believe in that future with you as well.
Maybe, that feeling of happiness and energy is contagious and unconsciously picked up by everyone around you.

As for being unemployed, its not about the present but the future. What do you want to do with the rest of your life, What are you doing to make yourself happy. Some men can be perfectly happy with no job and living a low-income lifestyle. You can also use the extra free time to brainstorm some business ideas and tell girls you are working on a great startup idea, but have to save money for the time being. Or that you are taking grad classes in your mba to explain your poverty. Besides, an mba might actually help you land a job.

This brings to mind a study I read about recently. The gist of it was that when an man experiences success/victory, his testosterone level rises and this in turn leads to more success/victories.
