I've been looking at the foam tech mattresses and I quite like them. The pillows too.

Only problem...they start around £1000+ for a small double. They're worth it though as I stayed in a hotel with one for my bed and didn't have the typical soreness I usually had from a normal mattress.

RE: The Bedding, Pillows, Sheets, and Mattress Thread
I just got a new mattress, firm, and I was essentially incapacitated after just a couple nights sleep. It didn't help that there were sounds waking me up at this time in the apartment as well, but I noticed something that I am trying to figure out, and perhaps others can chime in:

Firm is good for the pelvis low back (most weight is there) but the upper back/shoulders can't sink in to a good enough degree, so I instantly got upper back and neck strain. I'm not sure if the pillow had something to do with this too, but all 3 areas may have been flexed to an extent. I went from totally normal living to a nightmare scenario. I tried a plush mattress pad to cushion more, and it helped, but not enough. Still too firm.

Anyone have help or suggestions? The only mattress type I've ever slept on that consistently didn't give me a problem was an air mattress. Either I'm used to it or it's just perfect cushioning at each pressure point, i don't know.

Still, as a back sleeper I always have wanted a soft minimalist pillow to not raise the head and cause flexion. Again, any recommendations? Memory foam pillows were always too firm.

I have a Japanese style bed which can roll up. It's awesome as it lets me move around from state to state.
