Cheese's prepares kids for some of the greatest truths they’ll run into as adults: the addictive thrill of gambling, the drug rush of salt, sugar, and carbs, the economic shortfalls of a monopoly fixing both the means of production and the mode of distribution, and the crumbling disappointment of seeing grown adults beat each other with their fists at what is, essentially, a playground. 

Just this Monday, Chicago police arrested two 21-year-olds after a fistfight in a Lincoln Park area Chuck E Cheese's. The argument began over prize tickets, which are literally worth their weight in paper, and ended with three people injured and one bleeding. 
This is far from being an isolated incident.

Even though the US is a police state, people feel the need to throw down in public and fight, I find this bizarre.

Especially, if you visit Denny's, IHOP, Taco Bell on a Friday or Saturday night around 12 midnight in the US.

These incidents say much more about the shitty parts of Chicago, Milwaukee, Pittsburg, etc than they do about Chuck E Cheese itself.

Switch out Chuck E Cheese with any other place where ghetto moms and their crew of trashy people hang out and you'll get exactly the same outcome.

Why are 21 year olds even at Chuck E Cheese's?

The last time I went there I was 10, and since I'm not having kids that'll probably be the last time ever.

In Honolulu, the Chuck e. Cheeses are in the shitty parts of town. They also used to sell beer. You get a bunch of rough around the edges type follks getting drunk and playing whack-a-mole fights are bound to start.

I did just google though, and there is a chuck e cheeses on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills.

This is way back in 2013 (the fight at the Chicago Chuckie Cheese). I was looking this up and noticed the dates, but that's not the interesting point. The female which was part of the fight was shot in the head in 2014. Unless there are two Shambreya Barfield's in Chicago and both 21...but I won't play those odds. The murderer has not been found.

Not necessarily. Lincoln park neighborhood is a mixed bag not quite a shit hole part of Chicago. I've seen good areas with a Chuckie Cheese have a few characters walking in. The thing is people aren't bound to their neighborhood.

Fuck Chuck E Cheese. We quit going in the 90s when they merged with Showbiz Pizza which was my favorite with the rock afire explosion band. After the merger they changed the name and switch out the RAF with the new bullshit.

Yeah I'm afraid I agree. A few years back, when my kids were little, I would take them occasionally to our local CEC when it was raining out or as a special treat, not to mention the numerous kid birthday parties I attended there for their little classmates. It's a horrible place- kids running around without supervision, behaving horribly to each other, people fighting for tickets to exchange for their shitty merchandise (which my kids would beak or lose before we even got home), all while the parents sat idly by paying no attention. Although I live in a fairly affluent county, there are... shall we say, pockets of people that the limousine-liberals who run the place like to subsidize in order to keep around as evidence of their multiculturalism. They apparently have different standards as to what constitutes acceptable public behavior and it was their kids causing most of the trouble. So it's loud, chaotic, and dirty- throw in some crappy beer, and I could see why fights might erupt.

Since I've been old enough to be tried as an adult I've probably been in 5 street fights.

The times I've wanted to knock someone the fuck out? I dunno, 100.

As a kid you need to fight or you'll get punked out.

I was getting bullied in 6th grade, asked my father what to do, he said left right left right through the chin till they drop. Problem solved.

As an adult you should be able to de-escalate verbally over any petty altercations or signs of disrespect, and if you don't the winner of the fight is looking at jail and lawsuits.
