All it takes is to call the Black Lives Matter movement a terrorist organization and arrest everyone associated with it up to and including George Soros.

The apparatuses are already in place for such a decree to be made and due to the vague definition of what a terrorist is it would be easy to define it.

The thing is, once we go down this path all groups of this nature will need purged from higher education to NGOs. This is the type of legislation that can be used against anyone.

Funny you mention firemen: during the Rodney King riots 25 years ago, the rioters would sometimes start fires and when the fire fighters would show up to put out the fire, the rioters would shoot at them for being white.

True, firemen isn't the best alternative career for scaredycats. After all, they run the risk of burning to death, asphyxiation by smoke, or getting crushed in a collapsing building. As you suggest from your 25-year-old example, getting shot at is far down the list of risks they take. They can't shoot at every shadow like a bad cop can, but they do get shot at.

Scaredycats should take a job as a clerk in City Hall rather than be a cop or a fireman.

Firefighting is the ultimate vagina wetting job. Add to the fact that most calls are for BS stuff instead of real fires, it can be a great job for those looking to get buff and do nothing (hangout at the station).

This situation is very similar to the FLQ October Crisis in Montreal in 1970. Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau declared martial law by invoking the War Measures Act, put soldiers and even tanks on the streets of Montreal and put a FAST end to the bullshit. But Trudeau waited until he received letters from both the mayor of Montreal and the premier of Quebec begging him to roll out the tanks. Trudeau was a lot smarter than his ponce son. He knew that he would get trolled by the media for "over-reacting", and they troll him over it to this day. The governor of North Carolina and the mayors of all the affected towns should start writing their own letters to Obola. Now is the time to hold him to account. He owns this mess. He started America on the path to this disaster with his comments on Trayvon.

This is why I joke about CC standing for Carbon Copy. Because trainers and would-be lawyers seem to think they can carve out a foolproof SOP in stone that will perform optimally in every situation conceivable. It's just not true. You need to think on your feet and be comfortable enough with your weapon to adapt to the situation without stuttering over a step by step system that might be utterly unsuited to your current troubles.

Not that I've got a great deal of experience drilling goblins, but I've gotten plenty of practice in real world situations knocking over critters that refuse to sit still, at short notice, near and far, in poor light. My first night hunting was spent taking no shots at all because literally none of the dozens of opportunities ticked the hundred separate boxes for safe firearm use.

Real life is like that. If you substitute situational adaptability for a set of iron clad rules of engagement and try to follow them like a robot then you will stand there stuttering while Dindu and his friends stomp you into paste.

Before we all get lost in the tactics of fighting against rioters, remember the best damn thing you can do is not be there to begin with. If you see things going wrong, GTFO. If you live in a place where you have to worry about riots and civil unrest, move while you still can.

Once you're already in the riot, if you're one of the targets of the crowd, you don't have any good options left.

I can vouch for this. I was once almost involved in a riot and once one starts and you're in the middle of it, you lose a lot of control for your safety and security.

I don't know if they do it anymore, but back around 1990 I was hanging out in Hollywood (CA) on Halloween and agitators (appeared to mostly be drugged-up Hispanics) in the crowd started fighting the police and bashing windows on the stores. I got out of there as fast as I could walk and missed getting swept up in it by probably just a few minutes.

Allegedly, as the officers approached Scott’s black Ford sedan, he fired two rounds from the driver’s seat and then sped away. Neither of the officers was hit, and they proceeded to give chase and detain Scott several blocks away.

While Scott did leave the gun in his passenger’s seat when he attempted to run on-foot, he did, according to our source, assault one officer by punching him in the face.

Scott was released from Texas state prison in 2011.

In a press conference on Thursday, Charlotte police chief Kerr Putney declined to release the dash cam footage of the shooting, saying it did not provide “absolute” evidence that Scott pointed a weapon at Charlotte police officers earlier this week.

Judging by his record, however, it wouldn’t be the first time that Keith Lamont Scott has found himself pointing a gun at police officers.

Don't give me that bullshit. Have you ever looked at actual injury and death statistics for firefighters? You're way more likely to die as a logger for example.

Firefighters are a panty wetting job because they have a uniform, and fulfill a female fantasy that someone else will lay down their lives directly, to save them. Like some sort of ultimate white knight porn.

Don't get me wrong though, I respect firefighters, but more for their actual job which is somewhere between coroner, paramedic and highway road crew. My buddy is a city firefighter and his job, when not sitting around, is scraping up rotting dead bodies of overdose victims, being attacked by revived drug addicts, picking up body parts from highway car wrecks etc. They do all of the really dirty shit that cops don't have to do. ie. The cops show up and secure the scene and then the firefighters and paramedics do the rest.

I couldn't do that, day after day, too gross, too soul killing.

"Most dangerous job " though not at all.

I was immediately struck with the impression that she should have sounded a little more upset for having had her husband shot before her eyes; something very 'off' there.

In the U.K we have a joke, 'if its on fire call the fire brigade, if it bleeds, call an ambulance, if it's anything else, call the police'.
Firefighters are stretched but they have it a lot easier compared to police officers, who are facing the burn from both the streets and the politicians above.

In terms of girls and game, I would say any job apart from being a paramedic that involves wearing a uniform will get the girls. Women love cops, even the ones who hate them will still sleep with them. Firefighters are up there too.

Notice how she says he doesn't have a gun at the very beginning. Then when they continue to say 'drop the gun', she says "he has a TBI, he's not going to do anything to you guys".

Why would she feel the need to comfort them over a book?

I never get a response from someone in the know about this: Why do many blacks stand up for shitbags like this guy?

In my mind there are two reasons.

One is that most black people, even the many law abiding and prosperous, have some kind of connection to the 'hood'. While they may never themselves have done anything criminal, they are usually only 1 degree of separation from someone who has. A staggering 1 in 3 black males will go to prison once in their life. That's crazy! What it means is that crime and violence IS a part of every African-American's life in some way, friends, family, someone they know has been to prison, someone they know is a criminal. I speculate for that reason, crime simply isn't seen as abhorrent as it is in other demographics. This is a major problem for understanding each other.

Two is that a lot blacks just straight up don't like whites, they don't care about facts. Feelings don't care about facts. Hate doesn't care about facts. I would call that feeling 'resentment' and I think it is very common in that population, with differing intensity. I fear it has become an integral part of identity.

I would think a trained police officer would know a gun when he sees a gun. So, therefore, why would the cops be yelling "drop the gun. Drop the gun!" over and over, if he was holding, like that black woman eye witness said, a book? Or holding nothing?

Answer - they wouldn't. At this point, I'm going with the guy had a gun.

That video a few up from here where the female eyewitness says he had a 'black book' and not gun. Then the guy's wife, before the shooting saying 'he doesn't have a gun' etc, etc.

What's the deal with people like this? It's like a 'reality distortion field' where what's actually happening and what's actually there (a gun) is not happening and is not there simply because they say it wasn't. Reality isn't reality to these people. It's just what they claim it is because they claim it with such conviction. Yeah...no.

Also, that video is really shaky, but it looks like one of the cops standing over the body right after the shooting is indeed, a black officer.

Finally, when a cop or, moreover, a freaking group of cops are pointing guns at you and shouting orders at at you, it's pretty simple. You just do exactly as they say. You simply don't fuck with them.

You hold your bare hands high and get on your knees or the ground demonstrably showing you are no threat, unless of course, you want to end up shot.

So, even if it was another black object besides a gun, which I don't think it was, the fact that this guy was obviously giving the cops a hard time or disobeying them or "daring them" or whatever stupid shit he was doing, contributed to him getting shot. If he'd have just done as they said like people who are being apprehended by the police are supposed to do, he'd likely still be alive.

One could argue Darwinism at work here.

So I live in Charlotte. Actually, I am a half of a mile away from where they road blocked I-85. I live near the university, and work in "uptown." I rarely watch local news so I had no idea what happened until I read about the incident and the first night of riots online.

The first morning after the riots, I noticed that going into work was easier. I-85 was still blocked up obviously. Since that riot was so close to me, I did start to be concerned for my safety. I was not outright worried and thinking of leaving the area, but I was going to be more self aware than usual. We were let out early in order to get home safely. As I was catching the bus out of uptown, I did see some protesters (<50) near the center of the city. They had some reporters covering it but it was not that big of a deal. I have seen this before so I thought nothing of it. I went home and secured my apartment.

The second night of riots happened and I was watching it on the TV like everyone else. I had no incidents happen near me. All of the damage happened in uptown from what I can determine. Where they protested is right at the center of town, and is just at the central for anyone to go out to.(Trying to pick up girls during a riot was not on my "to do" list, sorry to disappoint) I was mentioning that night to my parents that the Governor needs to step in time, call in the NG, and bring in the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) to investigate this. We are looking at less that 1000 protestors who did all of that damage.

I went into work the next morning on Thursday, and drove in as I expected to be let off very early that day, and that was assuming that they even opened the doors. Biggest thing is that you could feel the tension as I was walking in. Everyone appeared to be going about their normal thing in the morning, but there was a feeling that everyone had their guard up. No one was listening to their ear-phones, no one was talking in their groups. It was an eerie quiet all morning.

During my mid-day walk around town, I did see some of the damage that happened. Some I did not see on the TV, and not near where the damage that was reported. There was a few cops downtown but LESS than what you would normally see during the day. We left early and you could see everyone batten down the hatches for more protesting.

I came home and secured my apartment once again, and started to watch the news. They announced that Governor McCrory declared a state of emergency, deployed the National Guard during the day to a staging area, and brought in the SBI. You may declare me as the next Nostradamus later.(Obviously I know when that will happen ) They did the protest that you saw on TV, and once again a quiet night at my location. This time they went more towards where I work in their meandering. We had a city-wide curfew between midnight and 6:00.

The police released a still picture of the incident, and you did see a hand gun next to him. I am not going to say how accurate this is, but the picture is of a different vantage point from the video that the wife has put out. I am going to wait to pass judgement until I see the cameras on the police as there is a lot more to this. This investigation is now with the SBI.

This morning it is more or less back to a normal day in the center of town. The same places that were boarded up were there and nothing new as far as damage goes. Right now we do have three areas of protest. You have a choir and clergy at the place where the riots started on Wednesday Night singing and doing basically a peace rally with about 50 to 100. I commend this group on what they are doing as long as they continue. You have a mobile group walking around the center of town of about 100 and an angry group in front of the Police Station.

I am not a fan of our mayor but she did something particularly foolish. She went out to visit with the National Guard members guarding the Government Center(Police HQ, Courts, City Hall etc.) That is not the problem. She went out and said "I'm out saying hi and asking where they are from in this state, and thanking them for being in Charlotte." It reminded me of this scene from "The Dirty Dozen:"

Looking dumb and acting stupid indeed.

What I think so far?

1: The Governor did the right thing in taking charge on this. I am sure that the Mayor has a Voodoo doll of our Governor and is doing all kinds of unspeakable things to it. Likewise Governor McCrory is throwing darts at her picture in my mind as well. He used to be Mayor here and Charlotte is Ground Zero for the Transgender issue here in the state. Deploying the National Guard may look bad to some, but you don't want to have a Baltimore week of riots going on. That looks worse. Having the SBI take charge creates a check and balance that CMPD needs badly. This is his election year, so this may a lot to do with the politics season but I tend to think that the Governor handled things well.

2: This has been a surreal week seeing places where I have walked by and went to on the National News with their window being broken. As the weekend is coming along, we may have more protests. We will have a curfew in place from midnight to 6:00 AM for the weekend. Sunday the Panthers are supposed to play in town, and these folks down here are trying to be the next Green Bay for over a decade, so I would be surprised they riot during the game.

I will retain what I think right now until further developments.

No evidence to support this but I'm guessing getting shot and living to tell about it is not uncommon in those parts. Between shitty shot placement, bad ammo choice and a dearth of ganstas that for some reason use .22 pistols (all they could acquire?) combined with reasonably swift and professional medical aid I suspect gunshot victims more often survive than die.

People react in weird ways in stressful situations. That alone doesn't mean much. And it's pretty reasonable to think the guy might still be alive anyway, handgun wounds aren't nearly as deadly as people think.

This is starting to be a common theme, though. There was another case within the last few months with the chick filming her boyfriend/husband/whatever getting killed by the police and she behaved very similarly.

I don't think many of these relationships are examples of deeply rooted pair bonding. And that's not even a racial thing. I've personally witnessed white ghetto trash women flip on their boyfriends and rat them out for single cigarette.
