First time in Philippines - Need advice (Manila + Cebu + Siargao Islands)
Hey guys,

I am finally doing the Philippines! Banana

I have read every single thing this forum has to offer, but would still like to make a post to

1. See if anyone wants to meet up
2. Have you guys pick apart my plan and see if there is anything I can improve on it.

I would rate myself A- at online game, B- at nightgame and maybe C- at daygame, especially in non-intimiate settings, like I can approach at a coffee shop or concert during the day, but just raw approaching a girl during the street or mall, can't do it ....
  • Oct 17 - 24 - Manila (girls girls girls)
  • Oct 24 - 29 - Siargao Islands - Can't wait to get back on surfboard for a few days + party, seems 100x more my scene than this Palawan shit. Single Man agrees. (Yeah I get there are tons of surfer bros out there so a girl whose a 5 in Manila clamoring for foreigner dick would act like a 9 there with lots of options, I know the beachtown vibe, whatever, i'll still pull and if i don't whatever.)
  • Oct 29 - Nov 4 - Cebu (Just get a little taste of the Chiang Mai of Phils, plus found a cheap flight back to NYC via Seoul from here.

I am specifically staying one week exactly in Manila to get the significant "weekly discount"

Lodging in Siargao seems cheap AF, like $35 a night for a very nice room, $50 for a super swank room, Cebu seems to be similarly priced.

My gameplan is to pipeline the shit out of Manila and Cebu. Maybe, just maybe overcome some of my daygame fears as well. Jakarta would have been perfect place to day game, didn't even pull one number that way cause i'm such a little bitch, but got tons from Tinder and nightgame.
  • I understand "Makati" is my best bet for Manila, is that right?
  • What about Cebu, where is the best place to stay there?
  • Do I need to pipeline with anything other than Tinder, my tinder profile is super optimal. I understand there is some 'cupid' sites but it seems like those were writtin in 2013/2014, with Tinder out should I even bother?
  • How do I stop being such a little pussy and approach girls during the day? Where is the best spots in Manila/Makati and what about in Cebu?
  • What are the best clubs/nights in Manila and Cebu as of Sept 2016? (I know there is good deets here but u know the best places so much from year to year.
  • Does rich guy game just dressing up super nice to the club or for daygame build results or it such a buffet it doesn't even matter?

It seems like Siargao is also nice pussy buffet but that article I linked to up above recommends friending random Siargao girls on FB, but that seems a bit creepy to me, plus I don't really like it when these random hos start commenting and putting those stupid Heart signs on my travel photos lol.

Anything else I should do to prep up for the buffet? Yes, I know I am going against my advice of staying put but its my first time in Phils so I wanna get a little taste of 3 regions so I know which ones to hit when I get back.

Also if anyone is around lets go throw down on bottle service in Manila one night, ball out lol.

Thanks again guys.

I like facebook so I can see photos of these chicks. But I hate it for the annoying interaction. There is nothing worse than having different girls of yours interacting with EACH OTHER! Worst than being underneath the mount Vesuvius eruption I hate it!

Siargao @ Cloud 9 is the surfing spot. Lots of resorts on that one street.

Party is in a different spot each night, ask locals or tourists. Renting a bike is recommended, many have attachment for the board.

Tattoo/souvenir shop near Ronaldos, to score green if you into that.

Rocks are razor sharp, so watch out while surfing.

Personally Id bring a girl to Siargao, good luck either way.

Cebu is nothing like Chaing Mai so get that out of your head, also $50 won't get you a super swank hotel anywhere in the Philippines, unless they're decreased in price since I was last there.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

Rich guy game is strong here. Having a car is a huge status symbol in the Philippines and really helps. Clean cut appearance only. Dress well. Shave. Nice cologne.

$50 for a super swank room, huh? Ya I doubt that. Try 100-200. This country is changing fast, and there is tons of money being thrown around now.

I think prices have gone down big time. The most expensive 1br I could find in Makati was the 74th floor highrise with floor to glass windows, $74 a night. So $100-$200 a night dunno wtf you guys are talkin about. Average price of airbnb in Cebu $61, plenty of nice ass spots for $50 many of them super swanky.

Maybe its low season or something:

MAKATI average price for 1br = $53, CEBU average price for 1br = $60

AirBnb will be cheaper than a high end hotel in Makati which will run you $300+/night.

Just be sure of where the AirBnb room is located. They sometimes aren't forthcoming about the location and just plant their icon in the best spot. If you can't see the address then it's a red flag.

For Manila, stay at Tune hotel. It's $40 a night and super fucking chill. Girls seem to like it. Go with the story that you're staying there until you find an apartment. Girls in Manila are easy. It's a joke. Get tinder. You'll love it. If you want to day game, go to a shopping mall called Greenbelt mall.

Never been to Cebu. Can't help.

How so? I've never been to Siargao but thought that Palawan was pretty dope overall, what is the problem with this thread other than the OP being a bit salty with his reply about lodging prices and him being a bitch with day game lol?

If you go to Siargao on your own, I recommend to stay at the Paglaom hostel at least for the first night. It is the best way to meet other people you can hang out and surf with. If you want more privacy/comfort or can't stand the other people from the hostel, you can later on always change to a resort (e.g. Kermit that is only a 2mins walk from the hostel).

Cebu: best is to stay near Ayala Mall/IT Park. From there it is not far to Mango Square, one of the main nightlife areas. I like the Red Planet Hotel in Cebu, which is only a 2 mins walk to Ayala mall (best spot for daygaming and also good for dates in the evening) and 5mins taxi to the Mango clubs. They have a 7-11 downstairs which makes it ridiculously easy to pull girls from the mall to your hotel. It is also girl friendly, since the reception is on the 2nd floor and you can just take an elevator from the hotel entrance to your floor without being seen by anyone other than the guard. If you get the Red Planet mobile app, you can get a 10% discount on every booking and you can extend your stay without having to get your hungover ass to the reception. Best clubs in Cebu as of 2016? No idea. When I was there last year, J Ave was still the easiest place to pull a girl, though there are a couple of semi-pros inside. LIV superclub has a good reputation, but I have never been there. Stay away from the girls in the outside area of Mango square. Most of them are hookers.

Pipelining: I only used Tinder. Not a big fan of filipinocupid but I know that a lot of the forum guys use it. If you also do nightgame and daygame, I think Tinder is enough.

Regarding the price of hotels/rooms, were we not talking about "swank"? The average price might be $50, sure, but average != swank, yes?

RE: First time in Philippines - Need advice (Manila + Cebu + Siargao Islands)
Seems like Cebu is a city where I get girls always eager to meet. Young age does not appear to be a hindrance at all. Just messaging them, meeting is something they always bring up real fast. Manila girls dont even do that!

I message them:
Chatting Manila girl: "Are you in Cebu?" , "No, Manila why?"
Chatting Cebu girl: "Are you in Manila?" "No dear, Im here Cebu, we can meet here"
First off, I hate how Manila girls just have the habit of always asking "Why" to everything! And second, its clear Cebu girl really just wanna meet, doesn't matter I am young, at least for Manila.
I should do Cebu but I already decided on leaving to latam. If I did not go on to do ltam, I would make a alst ditched attempt to do Philippines at a young age and shift to Cebu. Or just go try Mindanao again. Surigao city and places near it, the girls are highly receptive too. I never tried there, but I really need to some day.

I will try to message in Cebu, observe how enthusiastic they are about meeting and see what happens. I got a feeling it will work better than Manila.

Hey guys, it seems we are both correct. I just finished reading Matt Forney's "Do the Phillipines" book on a plane right just now. (believe he is a frequent RVF poster as he mentions the forum multiple times)

Basically he says, indeed, decent hotel rooms in Manila are in fact, $100 a night + but you really don't want to stay in a hotel b/c it will make the phils girls feel slutty and its a terrible value compared to airbnb. He also mentions an airbnb can be had for the half the price. I mean guys check for yourself there really are decent nice airbnb spots, and yes, swanky for $60 a night in Makati, look for yourselves ya'll. I mean for godstake for $85 a night people are putting up their penthouse suites, I mean unless this is a a total scam, I am seeing some very very nice 1br for $50 night.

So TLDR $50 gets you either a really basic / borderline crap hotel room or a very decent airbnb, so to get a decent hotel room you will have to shell $100 a night so the decision is obvious. I mean truth be told between airbnb and hotel the decision is almost always obvious. Hotels are always more expensive then airbnbs, they make girls feel slutty, you can get cockblocked by reception not letting your guests in, no kitchen to cook, less sq m of living space overall and really most importantly, airbnbs are almost always cheaper, totally no brainer. There are exceptions, for example in Bangkok sometimes hotel rooms are cheaper, but really 9 out of 10 airbnb is the best bet, and this is coming from someone who lives in both hotels and airbnb. So i'm really not suprised the advice in the Phils is the same. However, I have never seen such a huge price diferantial. Maybe hotels are taxed really high, or maybe just enough stupid people to fill up the rooms, I dunno>...

Check my sig for Cebu datasheet. Overall, it's a great place to have a couple loyal 7's follow you around for the week+ that you are there. Makati was far better for girls although Mango Square is the best nightgame spot in Philippines probably.
With Airbnb just make sure they've got reviews, you'll be golden.

Sorry to hijack, but maybe in another thread or PM would you be willing to do a bit of compare/contrast on Cebu vs Chaing mai?

I am tired of Cebu pollution but like the people, I'm wondering if Chaing Mai might have better QOL without the crushing overhead of living somewhere like Bangkok or Manila.

I spent a few weeks in Chiang Mai back in 2014, after donig some reading it might actually be closer to Davao then it is to Cebu.

People love Chiang Mai but its def the hardest place in the kingdom to get laid (though still not that hard), there are many reasons for this including

1. The foreigner to local ratio is higher even then Bangkok, I think the city is like 20% foreigners now from what some friends have told me.
2. Too small of a town for local girls to sleep around so nobody wants to be caught dead with a foreigner unless they're dating seriously. This is probably the biggest problem. The town is only like 800k people and expats have a really bad rep at being either super broke hippies or sex tourists (cause really 90% of foreigners in Chiang Mai do actually fall into one of those 2 categories, though this is changing as more online knowledge workers show up)
3. Lots of old money in Chiang Mai, lots of rich girls with local rich guys to choose from.
4. Speaking of money, the college Thai guys in Chiang Mai are surprisingly more "Alpha" then the dorky ass dudes in BKK that are never real competition. They have money, the social circle etc.

Go to a college party in Chiang Mai, people won't be rude but you won't get any special treatment and you'll be fish out of the water if you don't speak Thai.

I spent 3 weeks in Chiang Mai and only got laid once shoring some broad. My game is much better now and Tinder has also blown up since then so maybe the situation has changed. I mean really you could live in Chiang Mai and just fly to BKK when you wanna go for a nice romp, RT flight is like $17 each way. Maybe if you are super sex addled it might even be better ot put yourself a 1 hour flight away from the craziness of Bangkok.

Chiang Mai does have a lot going for it though. The weather is much cooler and comfortable then BKK, its a lot less hectic, and its one of the cheapest cities i've ever been to in my entire life. Take all the prices of Bangkok and divide by 3. Like a pad thai meal at a basic restaurant cost 15 baht ($0.50). I stayed at a nice 3 star hotel with good amenities was $15 a night. I went to the nicest gym in town was like $10 for 2 week membership. Also the internet is suprisingly good as it is in all of Thailand. You can get a decent furnished 1br for around $250US month from what my friends were telling me, if you wanted to share even cheaper. you could live relatively OK in Chaing mai on $700 a month

Really Chaing Mai's biggest attraction is that you can live like a fucking king for $1,000 a month in a city that has all first world amenities, thats what attracts so many tourists, hippie scrubs, aspiring digital nomads who are still broke and trying to get their shit going, people who are "writing a book" etc.

And I think being rich and developing a social circle could go a long way and would pretty easy to do if you lived there long term. Would not be hard to get yourself a nice roation of girls. However, just flying in with zero effort if you want to bang like crazy immediatley upon arrival having no friends and speaking no thai you might find yourself a little dissapointed.

There is also some decent nightlife but filled with way more hookers as non-working girls, as I said, steer clear of foreigners in Chiang Mai. the only reason girls slut it up so hard in bkk is because they can get away with it 100% anonymously, they come over from tinder and fuck ur balls out and don't tell anyone, not even their best friends.

Thread hijack over, lets get back to talking about Phils, but after reading Matt's book I think i'll be fine. I just needed to know best locations to stay in Cebu and Manila and best nightlife in both spots and I think those were answered for me.

RE: First time in Philippines - Need advice (Manila + Cebu + Siargao Islands)
[*] I understand "Makati" is my best bet for Manila, is that right?

Probably, it's in the middle of everything but it's filled with foreigners and scummy parts.

[*] What about Cebu, where is the best place to stay there?

Any place >15 minutes taxi ride within ayala

[*] Do I need to pipeline with anything other than Tinder, my tinder profile is super optimal. I understand there is some 'cupid' sites but it seems like those were writtin in 2013/2014, with Tinder out should I even bother?

I would, but you'll have to sift through a ton of ugly and scummy girls to find one half-decent girl.

Where is the best spots in Manila/Makati and what about in Cebu?

In cebu, Ayala mall, really that's all, there's very little there.

[*] What are the best clubs/nights in Manila and Cebu as of Sept 2016? (I know there is good deets here but u know the best places so much from year to year.

House Manila maybe, might be a bad location (near airport).

Cebu - Liv superclub (this isnt that close to Ayala, its in the north suburb) > J.ave (all hookers during low times/days) > MO2 Restobar (more of a bar, but there is a small club there).

There's a new club with two stories, cant find the name, "something" superclub, relatively kinda expensive. Not bad, worth seeing.

There's a club in IT park i've never been there, it looks okay, i dont think they get any foreigners going there, not that it matters they are friendly people. More of a younger crowd i think.

[*] Does rich guy game just dressing up super nice to the club or for daygame build results or it such a buffet it doesn't even matter?

It doesn't matter unless your in some high end club in Manila, just don't look like a (paying) sex tourist.

It seems like Siargao is also nice pussy buffet but that article I linked to up above recommends friending random Siargao girls on FB, but that seems a bit creepy to me, plus I don't really like it when these random hos start commenting and putting those stupid Heart signs on my travel photos lol.

Yeah that sounds shit, i'd just bring your favourite girl over there and avoid the hassle, keep in mind it can be a very conservative country at times, other times not Smile

RE: First time in Philippines - Need advice (Manila + Cebu + Siargao Islands)
I've spent a few weeks in both Chiang Mai and Cebu and the OPs' comparison is legit, I was training muay thai so wasn't out partying too much or chasing women but CM is better in every way except being near beaches and having tons of easy chicks. Cebu is a shit hole, definitely one of the biggest dumps I've ever been to in my life while CM is a pleasant, clean, orderly city in comparison. For me, Cebu is a city to fly into, maybe hang out for 3-5 days to get some easy bangs or find a chick to take somewhere nearby that is more pleasant such as Bohol or Dumaguete.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!
