I was contemplating the evolution of other technologies, often they follow a S-curve like evolution: not much happens early, slow progress, sometimes due to underlying technologies needing to reach a critical point. Robotics (the mechanical aspect) had made some impressive advances.

This really may be it.

It looks the way to do it is to combine tech from different companies and keep improving.

There are many industries that would benefit from this, imagine the fashion industry when they can manufacture they model with the shape they want.

Because in animation they have a way to make the viewers feel in certain way and they aim to trigger that biological response in the brain.

When a character designer wants the viewer to feel protective toward a character, they draw the character cute, and by cute I mean a head to body proportion where the head and eyes are oversized in comparison to the rest of the body.



This is because humans and many animals have an instinct to protect the young, and anything that resemblance that make us feel cute i.e protective toward it.

So in animated movies they design character to like the two below, so the viewer automatically feel the same need to protect them as the hero of the movie.


When it comes to sex robot, is basically the same, what they want the man to feel and trigger that in the brain.

Waist to hip ratio, smooth skin long silky hair, big lips, flat stomach, and big eyes since men tend to feel protective toward women just like they do with kids, etc.

The people creating these design, and like anime, push these buttons in the brain of the men to 11 by accentuating the same proportion men find attractive.

Some of those designs sort of become too kiddie-porn for my liking. Something like Bioshock Elizabeth is more in what I'd call the sweet spot as far as humanoid. Once you get into stuff like Looney Tunes then you can push the envelope more.

I think what Latinopan described is already at an advanced stage in Japan, where manga/anime character designers have, whether intentionally or not, made characters that "hack" the male brain by presenting it with exaggerated feminine qualities that don't exist in nature. This is why, despite plenty of attractive and feminine girls in Japan, many guys have chosen video game and cartoon characters to treat as surrogate girlfriends/wives.



The result has been destructive to much of the Japanese socio-sexual libido as sugary junk food has upon the western diet. Both involve hijacking primal triggers and overloading survival stimuli (eat, reproduce) to a degree they were not designed to be stimulated. Some years ago I realized that the cute/"moe"/hyperstimuli was not good for me and was messing with my head in a weird way. I don't miss it.
