I always live by the "you can't require faithfulness if you are not better than the competition" mantra. Examples include:

- Forbidding your employees from having a second job / hustle but offering them minimum wage
- Forbidding dual citizenship in your country but offering a passport that makes you need a visa to cross the street
- Forbidding bringing your own drinks but offering only 2 kinds of beer
- Making your own rules in the relationship if your SMV is lower than the potential women your man can get

This works equally for both sexes. You can't make your own rules if your SMV is lower than the other people your partner can get.. For example, in order to require your man to follow those 10 rules, you need to be more pretty, more "wife material", and have more to offer than the girls he is likely to meet while on that trip. And as a man, you can't force your girlfriend to be faithful if you work minimum wage and she is in position to meet better men.

Which brings me to the second point: If your SMV is higher than the potential girls he will meet, then you shouldn't even have to make such rules, because he will instinctively be faithful. Therefore, this only makes the girl look like a psycho, and since he is kind of good looking, he should just go hunting.

Guess stuff like this just adds to my relationship cynicism.

If someone, man or woman, is so paranoid of the person they're with that they have to threaten them, then why be in a relationship to begin with? Just sounds like self-imposed hell to me. Ditch your boyfriend and get a poodle or something, then you never have to worry about it "cheating on you".

Stuff like this is the reason guys become pickup artists - not because they're all dirty horndogs, but because when they see how many miserable and dysfunctional couples their are who put on a pretense of being "happily ever after" with each other just to keep up appearances with the Jones', they just rationally conclude that being a PUA is the smarter option.

If you're good at game, your girl is at home praying on her hands and knees that you aren't speaking to other women. She would fear making a list like this would only provoke you to do the opposite.
