Just took the plunge and plopped down $9.99 for 30 days of Instagress. I'm running it on fast and getting about 35 followers a day doing likes, follows, and unfollows (no comments) pulling from about 15 hashtags related to my fitness niche.

Ten bucks isn't that bad of a price for getting 1000 new followers in a month, seeing as I'm currently at about 580.

Source site is a user who's followers you are stealing (not actually stealing more of a copying without permission)
If you read the datasheet more carefully you can find this in the glossary.

Any advantage to targeting a user's followers rather than targeting certain hashtags?

One I could think of is that if they are more likely to follow a random celebrity, they are more likely to follow you, as some people use Instagram for personal posts only.

I might do some A/B testing and see if it makes a difference.

How are you guys tracking your followers? I'm looking for a simple service that lets me know how many followers I get a day.

Ignore that last question, I found a site that works perfectly:
http://socialblade.com/

Now I can track different approaches and see how it affects my followers growth. Nerding out here!

RE: The ultimate Instagram datasheet by Ragnar and Vinny
First of all thanks to Ragnar & Vinny for an awesome datasheet!
I think I really have to get into Instagramm, since I missed the Facebook revolution and didn't bother to grow my friends numbers for years. This has lead to my Facebook account being a massive DLV and making it really hard to long game girls.

Some questions regarding followers + the combination of Facebook & Instagramm:
1) Assuming I want to use Instagramm mainly as a DHV tool, not to game girls directly via Instagramm: does the gender of my followers make a big difference?
I have an idea for a niche/ a target group, but I think it would be mainly guys and only girls who are really into music and maybe a bit nerdy.

2) Facebook vs. Instagramm I: how do you decide what to post on Instagramm & what to post on Facebook?
For example your travel pics: obviously you want to post cool pics from your travels both on Instagramm & Facebook.
I sometimes see in my newsfeed a "Friend X has posted a picture on Instagramm"-message. This linkage saves the hassle of posting pics separately and with duplicate effort on both sites, but it's also against your first privacy rule (which brings me to my next question), so do you post pics separately?

3) Connecting your FB-account with Instagramm: I already made this error, so it's hard to take it back now. Also, I'm thinking to use Instagramm to make up for my DLV-FB-account.
Can you explain in more detail, what your concerns are with your FB-friends getting notified of and seeing your Instagramm account?

To answer a few of Macimber's questions: the gender breakdown doesn't matter that much. If you have a lot of followers, it shows you have a lot of value, and most girls when recognize that. However, if your account appeals more to girls and you are going to be sliding into the DMs, it will obviously be easier as you will have more female followers.

For Facebook, upload the whole photo album and on Instagram only upload the best few pictures. You can decide whether or not you want to "post to Facebook" from Instagtam or not.

You may be able to disconnect your Facebook from your Instagram, but IG doesn't notify Facebook friends of new posts for shits and giggles, you have to set it to do that. You can always make a new IG account and go from there.

I was too aggressive with my following(like 2500-3000 following in 24 hours) and am banned for a week so don't be too aggressive out there. The safe bet is 80 per hour max and no more than 800-1000 per 24 hours. I'm at about 2400 followers and was waiting to get to 5000 before posting new pics so about halfway there.

A good trick for you guys who aren't selfie heavy like I am is to check out tumblr/pinterest and take photos from there to post. I found a guy's tumber who photos fit my niche perfectly. I took about 100 and have about 20 pics of myself so I will post those every so often once I reach my goal.

Lastly I'm interested in seeing how my DM game will work from chick's tinder profiles. Instead of swiping right to them, i take their IG and will hit them up. I will post the results here early next week.

So for my 7 day recap: I have accumulated almost 1900 followers and a shit ton of likes and comments(40-50) and this is with being banned twice from following and not liking pics for 5-6 days. Any questions let me know guys. Thanks again Vinny/Ragnar.

It depends on how old your account is and how active (= amount of follows, likes and unfollows) you have been in recent months. I am currently doing 1500 follows, 1500 unfollows and 1000 likes per day and I have never been banned. I started out with 500 follows per day though.

Yes there is that effect.
I prefer girls with IG too. At least they are less likely to be bots Smile

@CD: Take is slow. But 2k in 1 weeks is a great result.

@Guayacan, I use Follow liker. It's funky to get use to at first, but once it's up and running you can manipulate settings to your liking.

I'm going to take it slow after my ban is lifted. I'm in no rush to amass a large amount of followers.

I like crowdfire, it has more stats, and you can schedule posts.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to deal with being banned from following people? It seems if you follow then unfollow a lot of people daily it bans you from following. I presume it is temporary.

If it's your first ban then wait 48 hours from when you first noticed the ban. If it's your second ban you are banned for a week(7 days). Sometimes they will tell you how long until your ban is lifted. I have heard rumors that after the 7 day ban if you start liking immediately they will ban you again, so it's probably good to wait about 2-5 days after your week ban is lifted before starting to follow people again.

Coverdoc, I would avoid posting other people's pictures. Accounts that do this are very obvious and start to come off as spammy very quick, and could quickly become a DLV. Save all of the pictures you like and attempt to recreate them yourself and learn from them. That way you are creating value and not just reposting. People will start to unfollow accounts that post other people's stuff. Like why not just follow that other person who is actually authentic?

Thanks, but that info couldn't be further from the truth. You are coming off like a hater broski. The guy is an underground photographer and doesn't care if you share his stuff. He even has ways to link it. I never claim his as my personal own just post the pics and when people comment about if I took the photo, I say no. I also have my own good pictures interspaced in between. The reason I take his pics are because they are great filler pictures that target my niche well. Plus it's instagram so this shit isn't real anyway. I guess the 1900 followers I recieved last week and 5 DMs telling me I was cute was not authentic.

I have a 6% followback ratio now. My instagress trial ended and I have extended it for another 3 days, i prefer the website layout and features compared to boostgram which seems just like they want your money. I'll be doing a test run of uploading one high quality picture a week and see how it goes from there. So far it seems people interact more if you leave a comment and follow them as well. Quite interesting to me, these automation tools definitely work on promoting your business.

Edit: Just realized that it was 6% earlier as well. Essentially I'm only targeting media from tags: I have about 20 tags, some popular, some not. I haven't tried the following from a source site, should I try that next? Do you guys cycle from source site to tags every few days or within the same day? I have 5 comments that cycle through as well.

Just started this up. I already have a private personal Instagram account which I will keep but I have now created a public account which I'll use for gaming girls.
Have picked 3 niches to target in general but also a few locations that I'm hoping to see commenting on my pics i.e. hotels, bars, etc.
I travel a lot so might be able to get some goodies from the hotels I stay at regularly.

Haven't gotten into any of the automated tools yet but will give that a look soon.

These are short term gains and anecdotal evidence. Do some research on this topic. Social media marketing (along with common sense) tells us this is a very bad idea. Coping others photos is not only obvious plagiarism but makes you look like a scammer and a cheat but takes away the legitimacy of your following as well. People automatically think your following is made of bots.

Nobody is hating on you, we don't care about how you get followers, this forum is for helping each other. As a long term strategy this method will ruin your account and cost you followers. Look at every successful account that has legitimacy on ig, none of them copy photos without giving full credit, and even then it's not a common practice. If you already have good photos use them and try to recreate cool photos you see. This way will help you improve a skill and reach your goal simultaneously.

Well we'll just see in a few months, but I highly doubt your predictions. I have common sense and mine tells me that IG game is not my main source of meeting chicks at all so I don't really care about losing followers. I'll post here weekly and we can all see together if my account crash and burns.

Thanks for the "tips" pain Wave

I have no doubt that posting other people's photos without credit will get you followers, just saying it's an underhanded, unethical thing to do.

You guys are all nerding out and spending all this time on Instagram and what it comes down to is:

How many bangs have you actually gotten from Instagram?

Probably not many...

If only followers actually meant something in life...

haha

I suggest you get out there and meet these girls in real life...

Social media is too watered down these days..

Actually, I am not a big fan of Online apps, but I really like the thread of Vinny and Ragnar, it is very informative and true. Game is relate to take advantage of all your possible tools and Instagram is one of them for some RVF members.

They are not gaming the thousand of girls who follow them, it is used a DHV tool. Viiny is right about this point, I have met cutie girls who talk about followers and they believe with their 2 k are famous, then when they met someone with a better number of followers, They perceive you with good social value.

If you want to know. How many girls does member bang with Instagram help? Ask to Vinny and He can give you a number.

@coresega unethical is a strong term, I like it!! Let's agree to disagree.

@smashley I don't get it...Why come to a thread specifically about instagram game to shit on instagram game and say we are nerding out. A no rep member coming in and obviously not reading the post. The entire thing is about not spending much time to amass as much of a perceived high quality IG as possible. You have a plethora of other threads to choose from, don't come here shit talking.

Not shit talking, just trying to break you guys of the illusion that having x many followers will get you laid.

It's easy to fall into this trap. As long as you guys aren't wasting time with this then proceed as normal. I just read through all the posts and it was all about trying to get followers and build DHV. What I didn't see was anyone getting results from it..

The easiest way to get DHV is to meet women in real life and proof your higher value through your actions and lifestyle.

Kudos if you're getting laid from it for the amount of time you put in.. But i doubt that is the case.
