Travel Gym thread
I thought whether I should post this in the Weightlifting & Fitness Thread but I figured this is more appropriate. I've been to several major cities where I've had problems finding cheap gyms during short-stays. Sometimes I've paid a premium to stay in a hotel just because it had a gym.

So, I would like to start an Official Gym thread for Roosh travelers. I propose we start with a couple guidelines:

1. Let's keep these gym recommendations to free gyms or those which allow cheap guest/1-time entrance.
2. Let's make sure these gyms are close to downtown/gaming area's of the cities and do not require long public transportation to some suburb.
3. Also, while I know a lot of members love martial arts, yoga or workouts like cross-fit let us keep this thread to generic gyms, i.e., those that anyone can enjoy and not "sport-centric" gyms.
4. Let us keep these suggestions to no more than a couple suggestions per Capital/Tier 1 City otherwise there will be information overload.

So, here is my contribution.
Country: Lithuania
City: Vilnius

Gym: PowerGym
[Image: _1451043204.png]
Location: Raugyklos g. 15, Vilnius. tel. +370 645 67440
Cost: 6Euros per visit
Summary: Only "affordable" gym close to Senamiestis (old town) and the ONLY gym you really need if you're staying downtown Vilnius for under two weeks. Others require either monthly plans or ridiculously expensive 20euro+ guest fees. This is a typical small "rust" gym with plenty of dumbbells/barbells, benches, and a few smith machines. I made 3 visits during my week in Vilnius and was very happy. The head personal trainer is a cool guy whose been to USA many times and speaks good English. Saw plenty of younger bodybuilders here workout and did see some amazing talent from a few females who looked like they were body models. This gym only had 1 working treadmill and a couple stationary bikes but does have a nice room for aerobics/boxing with punching bags, speed bags, and jump-ropes. Also it had a co-ed sauna room though when I visited it there were no females. Could be worth gaming thoughIdea

Free Outdoor Gym:

[img][Image: WP_20160719_18_20_38_Pro.jpg][/img]
If you want a free playground gym in the center of the city the closest one is a small park by Rudninku Street 18, not far from French Embassy. It has all the necessary machines for a quick bodyweight workout.

Gym: Vingio Park

[img][Image: WP_20160726_17_36_52_Pro.jpg][/img]
Location: M. K. Čiurlionio street 100, Vingio Park
Cost: 3Euros/visit
Summary: If you want a slice of World Famous Venice Beach outdoor Gym then nothing beats the outdoor gym at Vingio Park. Though it's about a 20 minute jog from downtown (I recommend you get your cardio in by jogging near the beautiful Neris River waterbank as this gym has no cardio machines or even stretching area) this is probably the best outdoor gym in all of Vilnius. It is small but very densely packed with all types of heavy weight machines. It can be a bit intimidating as the one time I visited it was full of power lifters.

Looking forward to other posts here.

Great thread.

Did you ever get numbers or bangs from the gym in different countries ?

The gym would be a natural underrated place to pick up locals if your in shape.

Kiev - Hidropark.

Free huge outdoor gym. Nearby beach to get pumped and go show off your gainz.

Go on metro to hidropark station, turn right in the tunner, over the bridge turn right, get you gainz.
I don't advice their outdoor protein shake vendor ultra unhygienic.

Body Art fitness (RVF official gym in Kiev summer 2016) has reasonable prices for a gym located in City center and it is possible to buy a weekly membership.

Also in Kiev (same as in all cities of FSU) every neighborhood has a pull-up and chin-up bar somewhere around. Search at kid playgrounds and near the schools. This alone can allow for a decent bodyweight workout.

Its quite recent, but yeah, I thought the same when I saw it, those pre-made shakes exposed all day to the hot summer sun, made with the excellent Ukrainian tap water...brrrrggggSick

Kiev:
Planet Fitness (near Arena)

Tallinn:
MyFitness (top floor Viru shopping mall)

Wroclaw:
Fitness Academy (Galeria Dominikanska)

Prague:
Kotva Fitness (across from Palladium mall)

Last time I visited, all offered cheap 1-day passes (for Kiev i think you needed to get a 1 month membership if i recall).
All the places above are located in the very heart of the city, near where you'd want to get accomodation.

Cebu, Philippines
Location: Across I.T. Park
Price: 200 php/day, iirc 1,000 php/month

Lax security, quality of the gym is slightly above average for Philippines, some A/C but it's point-source, and not many people inside giving you lots of freedom. Solid option for quick 45-minute workouts for hitting the beach.

RE: Travel Gym thread
Great thread idea.

Lima, Peru

Wrote about this one a while back. My absolute favorite place to do free convict conditioning in the world. Nothing better in the Lima summer than a little sun and pump on a perfect 75 degree day with a cool refreshing breeze off the Pacifico. There are several of these along the pathways in the Malecon parks in Miraflores.

Santo Domingo, DR

If you are living in Zona Colonial or frequent the area, there is a cheap gym right near Parque Independencia that runs 50 Pesos a day (~$1 day) and i'm sure you could score a monthly pass for something much cheaper. The gym has no air conditioning and probably gets up to 85 degrees mid-day, but it has all the equipment you will need and is good value for a dollar. I had some of my best workouts ever there. Some chicas do workout there but not the stunners you will see at the more westernized gyms in Piantini.

RE: Travel Gym thread
In Portugal there is the Fitness Hut chain of gyms. Very well equipped in the free weights area, and also all have combat/boxing area with tatami and punching bags.
Some also have crossfit circuits.

Not the cheapest at 8,8€ per day, but many location options and in the following cities:

Great Lisbon area (including Cascais and Sintra) - 13 gyms

South of Lisbon - 2 gyms (Almada and Setúbal)

Porto - 1 gym

Braga - 1 gym

Coimbra - 1 gym

Gyms are expensive in Moscow. I haven't been able to find anything else that was reasonably close to my apartment. If I find something else, I will post it.

I have always used formula-wellness.com

Bang in the centre near to the opera house and a well kitted out gym. From memory could buy a pass for a week or perhaps a month.

Small but has free weights. Costs $3 per day for pass.

Bacolod Philippines

President's Fitness Hub
Carmela Valley Executive Bldgatan , 9th Lacson St. 6100 Bacolod CIty

Old equipment but lots of free weights and options including a squat rack. Can't remember price but I think it was $3 for 1 day. They had a trainer standing around and he did a personal training session for me for 2 hours for $6. He wasn't that great of a trainer but worth it just to have a spotter.

OP: Great post. It would be great to have an index in the original post with a list of regions/cities linking to each individual post. I can imagine this will get messy once it hits a ton of pages.

CrossFit place, no AC so avoid the afternoon, but the workouts rock and the cost is minimal (can't remember exactly but no more than a couple hundred with a couple bottles of cold water)

While there is a more seemingly expensive gym on or around Monte Cassino Street, a good cheap one only a few minutes by public transit is Body Club, next to the Zabianka train station.

Day passes for the weight room are 10 PLN. http://www.bodyclub.com.pl/

Formula Gym and Spa in Odessa (in the very center, just behind the Opera).

http://formula-wellness.com/fitness/trenazherny-j-zal/

First class amenities (especially for cardio), very clean, superb indoor swimming pool with free towel and flip flop service, large lockers, good clientele, ect.

Not cheap by the month (was about 90 € two years ago), but really worth the money.

Swimming pool:

Edit : sorry just saw that Sportbilly already mentionned it, my bad.

Of course. The only rust gym you need (almost no cardio but great atmosphere full of bodybuilders/powerlifters and heavy metal blasting) is the one located at the Sports Palace пр. Пераможцаў 4. You can't miss this grand sports palace as it is the same building that has the Overtime night club on the 1st floor.
If I remember correctly the guest entrance was equivalent to around $5.

There are plenty of cheap gyms in Moscow but you need to go a few stops from the centre. No need to pay more than 400 Roubles for a day pass. Monthly memberships go for about 3500 Roubles and heavily discounted longer contracts at all gyms. They are classic Kachalka's though and not fitness centres with women on treadmills. My favourite is out near Partizanskaya. Walk through the park opposite the Izmailovsky Hotel ( this park incidentally has an awesome little weighted outdoor gym for free use ) until you hit the main road and its up there.
