I think QC is right. How the hell do they prosecute based on 'feelings'? The law does not operate in this way as far as I'm aware. If a guy slaps a girl on the bum and says "Alright love, suck my dick", then he's a moron and deserves a slap on the wrist as a warning not to do it again. But if it's just "Eww, creepy!"...how the hell do you PROVE that a crime has been committed? I just can't see this new 'law' as anything more than an attempt to control/scare men, not s anything legally enforceable, unless it's particularly egregious.

This really should be in Politics & War thread, because these are really political issues only masquerading as social. These creeping and ever increasing incremental losses of individual freedom disguised as progressive regulations are not about what they are, but how they are about what they are.

Nottinghamshire is just a testing area, and you know it will spread elsewhere.

What is most damaging is that these types of regulations are clearly going against biology without leaving another outlet for that biology to be addressed somewhere else. Eventually, the setup as such will have to burst somehow as the natural tide can't be contained with inane social engineering means. When that happens the regulators will have much, much more severe and lasting problems than if these were never put there in the first place. This happens anytime you follow the political orders of the day, instead of looking out for the true greater social good of tomorrow.

I agree very much about words being abused and losing their meaning. I hate it when I can't reach for a form of expression because all the words have been taken already.

As for the other stuff. Firstly, the word WAR, as we are discussing it. I do know what it means, what it entails. I used that word in a certain context. True, it was a very emotive use of the word outside of its usual meaning. I'm pretty sure though you didn't think I was really talking about blood and guts and body parts of your best mate next to you. I used it figuratively not literally. I nonetheless take your point. I just spent a chunk of time in the UK. And I just dumped a British girl that I fell pretty hard for. Spent a lot of time with her friends and family in the south(Wiltshire) and London. I got to know the culture deeper and better than I have before by hanging out with real people, and not just rock clubs and pubs in Shore Ditch before it was cool.

From what I can tell, average British women openly and blatantly disrespect their men in public, as well as male friends and family members. Its not just banter, and has zero irony. It shitty comments directed towards men. The few times it happened with us I yelled at her, but it did no good. We are done now, because thats her general approach to men. And from what I could tell, how her mother and her treated her dad. But I think this is more pervasive than the girls I met; I think this is how women in the UK view men, in general. In private this girl was sweet and feminine, in public, a ball busting rude bitch. We are done now, and I thought I wanted to marry this girl, until I saw how she was with her people.

She was also blown away by the fact that we met, from a cold street approach. She would always say "No one would ever do this in London". So if you want a fine English rose, go for the cold approach.

From what I can tell there is a bubbling undercurrent of angst in the UK, by the working classes and "real" people, not the modernized pseudo yuppie class in London. Wiltshire was a great example. The people I met were white collar execs, educated and super sharp. But they were all for Brexit, and they were very loyal to their country. My guess is that England is mostly made up of people like this, who are thoroughly fed up with political correctness, socialism and policies that are selling England down the river and weakening the once great nation.

If Brexit is a sign of things to come, its that the majority of people in the UK are fed up with being lead into a totalitarian PC state. I would expect to see more "mini-Brexits" happening in the next five years or so, as the sleeping classes continue to wake up and recognize the raw deal they have been given by their weak leaders.
