Hollywood is trash and simply a leech on the creativity of others.

I recently watched Easy Rider, which is a masterpiece, and was very surprised to learn that it was independently produced. Produced and written by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper, no Hollywood involvement. If you can make an excellent movie like Easy Rider, complete with stunning visuals, without Hollywood, then you don't need Hollywood at all. Mel Gibson is another example with Passion of the Christ. We don't need Hollywood.

Hollywood is just there because of their nepotism and their distribution network.
