Lure feature is like having a table with bottles at the club. I can see openings happening easy. Costs less than a drink and good conversation starter. More women are using it than you think. Just another platform to potentially game with.

I ignored this thread because I was afraid it was going to be an RVF fandom for Pokemon, but yesterday someone told me what Pokemon Go actually is so I thought I'd check out what you guys had to say.

I don't play Pokemon Go and have no intention of doing so, but I won't shame guys who play it. Not every moment of the day has to be about banging or self-improvement. Though of course I discourage overuse of smartphone for entertainment purposes.

Whatever gets people out their homes is ok with me, saw a cute blonde petite girl playing in a subway station, was about to talk to her but the train arrived, rumors says the update will include trading with other players around you like the cards in the 90s, this games is a good opener, this game will force people to socialize in more, I might get it and see what I get from it, will keep you posted.

So Pokemon Go Beta has finally launched and I got a hold of it (only launched in the States and Australia as of now, I think).
This is the typical Freemium app, with free content and then you have to pay for extra perks.

But basically the concept of the game is that you walk around in real life with the app, and depending on the city and geography and time of day you will encounter different kinds of Pokemon. So for instance, as we walked around DC in the afternoon we encountered mostly Rattatas and Pidgeys/Pidgeottos -- When we got back to college park and walked in the grass, there were mostly eggs and grass type Pokemon such as Bellsprout. Closer to a small rivulet that runs through campus my friend found a Poliwag (water Pokemon). In the evening, we caught mostly Gastlys(ghost/poison), Nidorans/Nidorinos.

Here is a link for the BETA gameplay for Oz (but its the same for the states as well) that describes customizing your character, catching pokemon, getting pokeballs, levelling up, fighting gyms etc.

Is this the new Selfie? There are going to be accidents with people stopping on highways trying to catch Pikachus and whatnot. But it seems fun.
Also drains battery life pretty quick. But hey, its REAL LIFE POKEMON!

Servers for Iphones have been down all day, but the ones for Android (atleast in this area) are okay for now. This should stablize over time though.

Edit - CP stands for COMBAT POWER or how powerful your Pokemon is.

We already have a gym in College Park that has Pokemon at a CP of about 300, so in a couple of days I should become a Gym Member too. Will report on that as and when it happens.
Best time to get in is now, so you can pummel the sheeple getting in later on.

Nintendo has built a business model based on nostalgia, kids from the 80s and 90s always dreamed about real life Pokemon hunting and becoming trainers, they are adults now and some have kids, they pass their hobbies to their kids, I can't tell you the number of adult people who buy Nintendo consoles just to play the same franchise they play as kids but now with their own kids, and adults who even owning powerful PCs still buy Nintendo consoles just for Zelda, Smash Brothers, and Mario.

Nintendo knows this, a guy that is 30 can't tell his son how he played Uncharted when he was a kid, but he can tell about exploring in Zelda from the 90s as a kid, people like familiarity and adults will introduce their kids more easy to Nintendo Ips. Kids today already have smartphones at young ages. Some elementary schools are planning to make trips to parks and and other public places and go hunting Pokemon.

80-20 is the norm but I think your off on the rest of the comments. If you follow the advice on this forum and get a professional photographer, you can easily jump into the 20% as long as your not deformed looking or unfit.

Unlike OKC, Tinder doesnt make you list your height so thats off the table. I've yet to hear a girl say beards and tattoos are a must.

Besides, the quality of girls in Tinder is probably much higher then some Pokemon Go meetup. Plus I wonder how the thirst is when you got 20 guys and 2 girls.

A modest time spent improving your tinder profile pays much more dividends them some virtual reality game. Now you may actually enjoy playing so that's a different aspect.
