Here's something that always drove me nuts about Jon Stewart -- and why I consider him to be a chicken shit. He'd frequently use his show ("The Daily Show") to call people out -- but if anyone ever tried calling him out, he'd hide behind the fact his show was a "comedy".

Basically, the political-comedy genre allows a comedian to:

. Use their celebrity as a platform to get public attention
. Dip their toe in political waters by calling out actions of politicians
. If ever they find themselves on the receiving end of criticism, cop out behind "It was a joke."

If a comedian says something -- is it their real opinion or is it a joke? No one but them can say for certain. This gives a comedian a certain amount of protection. If a comment is well-received, they can own it as intended effect. If not, it's merely a comedic misfire. Politicians clearly aren't afforded this same luxury. Before Trump, if a politician made an off-color remark or a joke that fell flat, it could have cost that candidate their political race.

The problem is, comedians can hit politicians, but politicians can't hit them back. Why? Because a comedian was just "joking" while a politician was doing it to be "mean". Comedians clearly have no problem with the hypocrisy, as Bill Maher frequently pulls this same kind of dodgy bullshit.

Essentially, comics are instigators who turn and use a defense mechanism similar to "You wouldn't hit a guy in glasses, would you?" when challenged. When they pull that shit, this is what needs to happen to them:





It's interesting to note when the shoe is on the other foot, Stewart isn't so good at taking a joke at his own expense. Here's a clip of a Seth MacFarlane interview on Piers Morgan's show, talking about an experience he had after parodying Stewart on "Family Guy":

This video is a great example of why I never underestimate the opposition. Democrats and liberals are no fools. Simply misguided with different concepts of what is the greater good. Collectivists and agents of "order" is what they are.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but her little quote about it being the government's job to support single women was total horseshit. If women truly don't think they need A MAN -- they shouldn't need THE MAN, either. This bitch can fuck off.
