Old Navy Claims Father's Day "Is Really Her Day" on T-Shirt
Old Navy Insults Fathers By Making Father’s Day About Women

Quote:Appearing in their store for a short time was a shirt that read "It's Father's Day," but looking closely it says "It's Her Day" in the bold letters.

Quote:I wanted to write about this, not because I'm a male, but because the feminist trend of belittling men is not just insulting it's dangerous. It's dangerous because sidelining fatherhood, and making it all about women further promotes the idea that father's aren't really needed.

This is just stupid. Fathers aren't just good for families, they're integral. While there are many good single parent households out there, those with fathers are just far and away better off.

According to the National Center for Fathering, families with fathers exhibit more financial stability. Single parent households with just moms live in poverty by a whopping 47.6%, as compared to those with fathers, which are four times less likely to be in poverty.

That's not all. The kids are more emotionally and physically more sound, are better educated, and commit less crimes.

Despite the ridiculous trend of viewing males as nothing more than defective humans, fathers are necessary, important, and needed. Girls need a good masculine influence to set the bar for how she'll let men treat her in the future. Boys especially need it so that they grow up to be good and useful members of society.

The feminism that has permeated our culture, and made corporations like Old Navy believe it's okay to treat fathers as nothing important, is more damaging to our society than many in the mainstream like to talk about.

And I won't shop at a store that promotes that kind of damaging thinking, even if for a little bit before taking it down. Old Navy should apologize, before they lose even more customers.

What the fuck is up with Old Navy? On the one day fathers are celebrated, they're trying to fuck that day up too?!

Old Navy got so much shit for it they took if off their website.

Just another store on the list I'll never shop at again.
Not that I have worn anything from them since I was about 13, but that makes no difference.

Big corporations sometimes are really really dumb, who were the idiots that came up with the idea, approved it and let it come to market? How stupid and misandric do you have to be?

The author of the article is obviously completely right, we live in a culture that thinks this is ok, acceptable and funny; no, it's stupid and dangerous for everyone, fathers are instrumental in maintaining a healthy, happy, safe and prosperous family and society and this constant male bashing is detrimental to everyone, women included, can't these idiots see this?

That shirt is absolute horseshit. Imagine the outrage if men tried to detract any attention away from women on Mother's Day. The SJWs would have mobs formed complete with pitchforks and torches ready to #killallmen. Fucking crazy cunts.

This was conceived and brought to market because there are literally millions of beta husbands who will take any opportunity to bow and scrape at the feet of their wives to show society how right-think they are.

They weren't planning on selling these shirts to women wanting gifts for their husbands. They were planning on selling them to husbands who wanted to wear them to the company barbecue as a culturally acceptable way of demonstrating that they have been successfully castrated and are now safely domesticated.

Meanwhile:

Quote:According to the National Center for Fathering, families with fathers exhibit more financial stability. Single parent households with just moms live in poverty by a whopping 47.6%, as compared to those with fathers, which are four times less likely to be in poverty.

[sarc]This clearly proves sexism exists because "disparate outcomes". The proper way to fix it is obvious. More tax on men. More welfare.[/sarc]

I don't know whats worse. That a team of people which I assume includes at least one person with male genitalia developed this and decided it would be worth the investment or the fact that there are other people with male genitalia that would buy, wear, and believe this chickenshit. I think I have one shirt from Old Navy, it just got relegated to a gun cleaning rag.

I bought my dad a cordless saw (M12 Fuel, really badass!) for Father's Day.

Technically speaking, Old Navy is correct, but that's only because EVERYDAY is her day in English-speaking countries Tongue

Question. If you saw a friend or acquaintance wearing the shirt, would you say anything? How about a stranger?

Odd's on he's not straight...

I saw a straight married guy wearing this at work today:

A couple of months ago I saw a guy at Disneyland wearing a T shirt saying something like "If you want to talk my boss, talk to my wife"

What the fuck is going on with men the days?

RE: Old Navy Claims Father's Day "Is Really Her Day" on T-Shirt
"What the fuck is up with Old Navy?"

There is a larger trend happening where single mothers are claiming Father's Day as their own. I noticed this in 2014 when single mothers I knew from high school started to post memes about this on Facebook. In 2015, Angel Soft came out with a commercial that specifically praised single mothers on Father's Day.

This was a big enough subject that lots of articles have been written about it. If you Google single moms and Father's Day (no quotes), you'll see them. Some are by single mothers claiming the holiday; others are telling them the holiday isn't theirs.

Someone from Old Navy probably noticed all of this and decided to capitalize on it.

I saved links to some of these memes. Here they are. Disclaimer: If you're in a bad mood or get angry easily, I would urge you to not look below.

In ten years time their daughters will be easy pickings for my sons, and their own sons are not exactly going to be much competition throughout the market in general.

Getting "outraged" about this is the equivalent of feminists and SJWs getting outraged about whatever stupid offensive thing they saw that day. Old Navy is just trying to generate controversy and therefore publicity and therefore sales. This kind of shit is why "MRAs" annoy the shit out of me.

I find it weird that mother's day is celebrated the same day around the world. Not sure about most other countries but in Australia we celebrate Father's day in September rather than June.
