The gator must of been eating good that whole time. Why would it choose to stay in that fake lake versus some bogg with lots of food.

Just like bears raiding the cabins it is either the Gator's natural swamp is being fucked with and nuked it's food source.

This pond has been like a buffet for the gator with all types of good meals (maybe staff feeds it for jokes).

You can blame Disney for this. Disney owns 100 miles of land in all directions over there as controls and manages it like any city or county would. They have probably been doing stupid shit to the Gators normal swamps for a long time now.

From the comment sections of numerous articles about this incident, a lot of people living in Florida mention to stay away from any body of water for the fear of gator lurking in it. Now locals and management that live in the area know this. Take Disney's new trend of importing foreign workers and other non local people, that knowledge is no longer common place. Hence, staff may have been feeding gator is most likely scenario. Disney is falling apart as the any other business in the US for short term gains.

The resort has been around for thirty years. If gator attacks were a common occurrence, then there should be something done. This appears to be the first. To say they made a mistake building the resort there is to say that no resorts should exist anywhere in Florida, because of gators.

Florida has panthers. Let's say a panther roams in and eats the child. Should Disney be sued for not having a fence around the whole place? How about if a mosquito bites him and he dies of zika? Do they need to put a mesh dome over the entire place?

I do agree that this is a tragedy and hate that it happened. The goofball hysteria over everything surrounding it makes it worse.

I still believe this would not have been a story at all had there been no shooting.

False equivalency. First of all, letting your kid stand at the edge of a lake isn't quite the same as letting your kid climb into a zoo exhibit.

Secondly, this feminist shows a complete lack of objectivity by blaming it on "white men's entitlement," especially considering that the kid was with both his parents at the time, and the dad actually jumped into the lake in an attempt to rescue him.
