In a Race to Save a Man on the Tracks, a Reminder of What’s Good in the World
From the NYT today: "In a Race to Save a Man on the Tracks, a Reminder of What’s Good in the World" http://nyti.ms/25WCTuJ

TL;DR, man collapses waiting for the subway in New York, 3 men jump onto the tracks to save him.

4 women, Sumeja Tulic, Miriam Gonzalez, Rachelle Peterson, and Brenda Soriano all gave accounts to the NYT. Ms. Tulic, a Bosnian Muslim immigrant who works as a human rights worker, took a video of the incident that was posted on Gothamist. One of the men who did the rescue was interviewed by Gothamist, where he reavealed that he visited the injured man in the hospital.

--------

I don't think I need to parse this for you. I'm just going to leave you with the headline

In a Race to Save a Man on the Tracks, a Reminder of What’s Good in the World

Here's your reminder. *You're* what's good in the world. Fuck the Twits twittering away about how the country would be a better place without white men. Fuck the bitches who can't accept an iota of responsibility for their own actions, but want to shove it all on the man. Fuck the family courts that destroy men's families every day and put financial burdens on them that we don't give to the worst criminals. Fuck the useless cunts who somehow conclude that masculinity is the problem. When someone was in trouble, 3 MEN literally jumped in front of an approaching train to help while 3 women stood around and gawked, and a 4th, who it's honestly hard to not stereotype, took a FUCKING VIDEO of the thing.

This one is to every guy on RVF. You keep being the best man you can, let the rest of the world sit around and take a video the way some tourist on safari might video an encounter with an endangered species.

To be fair...the women wouldn't have been able to do shit, because of lack of strength, specifically, upper body strength.

Deep deep down, they know it...which is why they didn't do anything.

Very true, if anything they have have only been a hindrance. Too many hands make shit more difficult, not to mention there wasn't mention as to the women's size, they could have all be heifers with no ability to get themselves out of the tracks much less into them unharmed.

So in this long article from the NYT, we got the names and irrelevant life stories of the four women who stood there doing absolutely nothing, but we did not even get the names of the three heroic men who saved the day?

Thanks Rockhard.

Needed this today, there's a lot of negative shit gets thrown around, you are dead right, we need to remember the home truths.

I try to be one of those guys and rehearse sometimes situations in my mind whenever I see guys getting dangerously close to the train-tracks. I am however quite doubtful of my physical abilities in that situation and I am unsure if I would get help like in this case.

What I would do is run to the booth where the staff are and scream for help. So that they stop the trains.
