Sadly, I asked my sister, and one of her biggest turnoffs is guys who start threads with similar themes as threads that currently exist.

Just stop trying to justify it mate.

If you look at Valentine's rep sheet you will see that the last thing he needs is attention and more reps. He is a quality guy who does hard work for this community.

I think a survey like this is useful as it seems there is genuine interest in this topic. We are in the early stages of a new idea that might actually take off in a big way.....we just need to find a way to find a way to make it realistic.

However, it might be better to keep the results anonymous for now as not all members want to reveal whether they have a daughter or not.

It's not a garbage thread at all.
The survey is a very simple and very smart way to see members opinion on this interesting topic without having to read through pages and pages of posts.

I have met Valentine in person. He is not a person who seeks attention. Organizing things in simple (yet effective) ways in real life and setting up systems that work for guys like us, is something he does very well, and puts a lot of effort into. If anything, he is severely under-repped considering the enormous value he gives this community offline in real life.
