Aside from the Philadelphia sitcom the most hilarious TV show on the Anime part is One Punch Man:





It has the ridiculous premise of an all-powerful character who after attaining god-like powers is bored. Plus it's set in a super-funny bizarre, but also endearing world of monsters, super-powered-humans, but also heart and plenty of humor.

What does an all-powerful cyborg superhero do in his spare time?

I've read all chapters of the One Punch Man original webcomic & manga adaptation. The second season is coming out in April 2019.

I recommend reading the manga version once you've watched the 12 episodes as the story arc after that is very grand. Season 2 will be covering this arc and it should be just as successful as the first season.

I'm not going to reveal spoilers, but the current arc of the manga has almost caught up to the original webcomic.

I just finished up the latest season of Bojack Horseman and it was a good season ending. I can't get enough of the show.

I'm already caught up on shows. I've been thinking about Blindspot, has anyone watched this? The actress for Jane Doe is a looker but also read stories Jaimie is difficult to work with.

First, because it loses the teen-aspect story from season one, which distracted greatly from the show and seemed geared towards pulling in a younger audience. Second, and even more important, the second season's episodes focused on pushing the story along by focusng on just one character per episode, which is far more effective than bouncing around from character-to-character (like a typical TV show). As a result, there were some very powerful episodes. I especially liked the one that focused on the church pastor ("No Room At The Inn").

I have meant to write this update for awhile. Now that I have watched the entire series, I stand corrected. "The Leftovers" is indeed one of the best series that I have ever watched. While the first season was just OK, the last two seasons were a powerful blend of grief, loss, sorrow, healing, and joy. The acting is outstanding and the wild emotional ride experienced by the characters is almost palpable.

What happens when two percent of the Earth's population randomly and mysteriously vanishes? What are the emotional and behavioral results for the individual survivors -- and for society as a whole? How does anyone plan for a future when, in theory, you -- or someone you love -- could simply randomly disappear forever? The show allows you to struggle through these implications while spotlighting the aberrant behavior and the long term emotional carnage caused by such an event.

Everyone on Earth is reminded that much of existence is basically random, meaningless, and out of their control. How do various individuals react when confronted with that fact? How do people balance the very human need for control against such stark utter powerlessness?

I especially like the way that the show never mocked Christianity (despite Hollywood's notorious loathing for all things Christian). Christianity, and religion in general, was simply one of many possible rationales to explain what happened. The church pastor was also a very intriguing character.

The show also used a few well-known actors and actresses in relatively modest parts (e.g., Scott Glenn and Liv Tyler). The Scott Glenn character is especially zany (an elderly former chief of police who hears voices, gets institutionalized, and turns to hallucinogenic drugs in the wake of "The Departure"). One of the best episodes features his efforts to "save the world."

The genius of the third season was in its structure as a sequence of cascading series finales. The various characters find a way toward closure -- and then fall away from the story, as those characters who continue to struggle with their powerlessness attempt to finally attach meaning to their lives. While the third season retained the opening title design, it used different theme music every week based on the content of that particular episode.

As the show matured, it actually got weirder, wilder, and better. In the end, "The Leftovers" is a story about people whose lives have been destroyed by grief, a grief that turns into the source for some of the strangest dark comedy that you will ever see. I also found this TV series to be one of the most emotionally moving series of all time, which is a credit to both the story and the superb acting.

I've really been enjoying The Last Kingdom. Acting, story lines, and battle scenes are really good and entertaining. Definitely recommend it.

Good God. I thought people were exaggerating when they said Portland was literally an SJW city. Watching Louis Theroux's new doc about Polyamoury and Portland's bizarre on a level I can't get my head around.





If you can't be bothered tormenting it I'm sure it'll be on Netflix sooner or later. I can certainly see why the States is so divided. I mean... Donald Trumps values are a world away from these hippy freaks. I feel sorry for some of the men who blatantly aren't as into the situation as the women. Louis explores this.

The walking dead season 9 has been a return to form, great suspense and story writing. Angela Kang is back as show runner, she's doing a great job reviving the show. No affirmative action required here, she's making some great TV and lm excited for the next episode for the first time in many years.

I've been watching the reboot of "Charmed". The feminism and SJW content is way over the top. So much so, that I wonder if they are making fun of the SJWs and feminists while still satisfying the brainwashed crowd. I think it's funny.

The tv show that has left a bigger mark on me is "La Piovra" means the Octopuss in English.

It is an Italian serial about the mafia and the struggle of police comissar Corrado Cattani (played by Michele Placido) and associates against the forces that be, including politicians and freemasons associated with the criminal world.

Highly realistic, redpill, violent and polemic for those days. This show is probably the biggest European production of the 80s (RAI).

The scene below, when Cattani was finally liquidated by the mafia was watched all over continental Europe, from both sides of the iron curtain (around 1988/89), and everybody literally stopped to see this episode.






And also important is the brilliant soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.
