Mentally ill people aren't capable of learning game. Also, we talk about female entitlement being a bad thing on these forums all the time and with good reason. Female entitlement leads to a lot of societal ills. Male entitlement is no better, hence we get the Elliot Rodgers of the world who believe they are entitled to female sexual outlets just merely for being alive. Men have to prove self-worth to become a worthy mate, there's no excuse for not working harder on self-improvement.

Yes, and we're faced with their violence afterwards. The real questions that should be answered will not be and instead will be shrouded by the gun debate.

This guy was a loser and I keep seeing it in the UK. Everytime some girl or woman is raped and murdered its some fucking loser who cannot get laid and flips on the inside and becomes murderous.

Its almost always murder-suicide.

Is it jealousy over their fame? Some delusional love fixation like you mentioned? Or perhaps just a desire to become famous themselves by having their crime appear in the news (the latter seems to have been the motive of some serial killers; likewise Lennon's killer admitted after the fact that he did it primarily just because he wanted to be famous).

Definitely seems to me that the media today plays a motivating force in these psycho killers; knowing they have no power or relevance in real life, they likely view even the negative attention they receive from their murders an improvement over simply being a nobody.

You definitely made a good point; by encouraging sexual repression society likely influences this type of psychotic behavior. One psychologist I read hinted that Islamists may intentionally encourage sexual repression as a means of channeling that energy into violence and terrorism (along with the supposed promise of virgins in paradise of course).

I feel it's not just sexual frustration i think these men need a sense of community people they can turn to when feeling depressed. Sadly our society does not provide any more. I feel all young men need a sense of Brotherhood and belonging. Loneliness can make a person go off the deep end.

There's some truth here.

A man who invests in self-improvement in all facets of game (say looks, dress, personality, status as well as traditional beta-$ methods) need first reconcile himself to the fact that despite all his efforts, most women would prefer an aged and imprisoned Charles Manson.

There is liberty with this acceptance and a warning to never, ever put women first which is the flaw of PUA.

Awful things like this are going to keep happening with at least the same frequency. No doubt the simpletons will think no further than "OMG gunz bad!", and ignore the other ingredients that are going into this.

When you have a society where the top tier guys have a dozen women each, and there is 105 men born per women, you're going to have a huge bottom tier of guys who are never going to get anything. The man who has no chance of reproducing no longer has any reason to control his behaviour like others, because death is no longer a risk to him (die childless now or die childless later), so there is little to stop outbursts of murderous rage. In situations like this, 'gun' acts as a scapegoat, so does 'mental health' -- the vaguest non-medical term that exists.

So things will continue on the same, the scapegoats will be brought out each time to fulfill the needs of the grieving, the politicians will make their unrelated gains from the corpses, and never will anyone be so audacious as to ask questions. They can say "it's awful, he's evil, poor girl" till they're blue in the face, but that will doing nothing to stop the next guy who will do it again.

These types are the truly marginalized, a socially excluded minority who everyone calls the enemy but with none of the supposed "privileges". When one of them snaps and murders someone it shouldn't be seen as shocking or surprising, but statistically and lamentably to be expected.

I don't agree that every man should be completely deprived of sex and emotional intimacy with women just because they don't go to great lengths to understand women/learn "game". Half a century ago in the west it used to be enough that a man simply had a job, in most cases. Now with the playing field heavily skewed against men generally (heck, even the men at the "top" are not immune), guys who might have done fine 50 years ago, sometimes even guys who are above average and have some bad luck or other external circumstances beyond their control, are being mentally obliterated and ruthlessly weeded out of existence.

I do agree that the deeper underlying issue behind this is being ignored and instead being passed as being a result of "guns" and "mental health" and, of course, just a case of another incarnation of how "evil and sociopathic" men can be. The result will be to medicate more males to keep them from satisfying their innate male urges to kill/rape/etc/etc others, to restrict guns further among civilians, and to generally amplify the already rampant male bashing in modern media.

The real issue here is a cancerous society which is simply toxic to the minds and bodies of men. The serious mental health issues a lot of men develop - higher rates of depression and higher severity leading to 4:1 m:f suicide rate - are largely the result of all the elements of a toxic society screwing up male minds. For every man that publicly "snaps" in the most extreme way as to kill himself and any other people, there are probably hundreds of other men living in various forms of mental and physical decay, the silent majority who just sit there and take it because they know no different.

It just seems to be a sped-up version of natural selection: modern civilization changes so quickly that an increasingly large % of men are just not equipped to navigate the environment they are born into. Until 100% realistic sex robots replace women, women are protected and in fact are seeing increased rights, increased protection and increased choice amongst men, so that even the ugliest manage to reproduce, even if the man doesn't stick around.

Not every man is smart enough and/or happens to come across sources of information which tell him that the USA/UK is the only country in the world where women exist, and that he could find happiness elsewhere.

I don't deny that the accused has responsibility for his own actions, if you believe in free will, but I think some environments on earth are not unlike environments with high levels of toxic radiation, where consistent exposure at such high levels of radiation over an extended period of time may well lead to aggressive forms of cancer. This guy, and others like him who are depressed to a similar level but don't get famous because they don't kill others, has experienced the worst combination of unfit genes and a toxic environment over many years.

The masses act surprised at the result, but I'm not. Call him evil, blame guns, blame inadequate mental health treatments, blame men as a whole yet more - none of this will fix the underlying problem. Heck whoever controls all this shit in fact doesn't even WANT to fix the underlying problem, because that would mean rolling back decades upon decades of social decay, and restoring real equality and justice in the west.

Any guy who is thinking of doing anything like this, I would immediately prescribe him a trip to Thailand or the Philippines. If he can't get girls online, he will have to get some hookers. But hopefully he can just get something that is at least reasonably "real". But most men who are suicidal/homicidal are past the point of no return where even if such a trip would work he wouldn't be willing to go. Sadly there are some men who are so far gone they just cannot be saved.

What happened is obviously sad. Daughter or son, sister or brother, losing close family members is a horrible pain. At the same time the only reason this made the news worldwide is because he killed a somewhat pretty, somewhat famous girl. When the same or similar publications publishing these articles on this event have on their books "journalists" who freely admit to loving to "bathe in male tears", I can't help but scorn the blatant hypocrisy. The toxic narrative men are faced with in the west is the same narrative that killed the girl. Instead of being capable of accepting reality and partial responsibility, the media doubles down on the whole guns/mental illness/evil men narrative, not seeing that a certain percentage of people who commit suicide also take other people with them.

The white knight comments are just annoying. Call me jaded and insensitive but I've talked to so many women prettier than her I'm pretty much numb. It's sad she died but it's just another person dead, I didn't know her and even if I did I would probably have little reaction to it. No one would give a crap if he shot another neckbeard, unless it was a mass shooting followed by most for the drama. Society creates neckbeard shooters then people ask each other "why god why?" as they cry together in a candlelight vigil, then get to blaming guns/mental illness/all men/anything but the root cause.

Game saves lives. This pattern with psycho killers is becoming known in this part of the Internet, but is not known by the general public. Unfortunately, if it were, the public wouldn't recognize that this means red pill truths should be recognized and taught. Yeah, the ideas here attempt to save men from depression, hence suicide and in turn for the number of suicides that are preceded by (mass) homicide, from those kinds of UCSB sprees.

Many people would agree this guy needed professional help. Maybe, but the whole field of clinical psychology is infected with "blue pill"/"narrative" crap and either doesn't help or makes things worse. Unless you lucked out on a psychologist who is an independent thinker and has been through similar shit. But most psychologists are either women or really blue pill white knight types who can't help a sexually frustrated guy for shit. Most psychologists would be sacked if they gave a treatment programme that expressed the ideas Roosh, for example, expressed in his recent tour. The outrage came from all directions. In the west, whatever workplace you're in, you just cannot express such ideas. It doesn't matter if they can save lives, it's just the social climate we live in at the moment.

Advice about women and about how to be a man on this site and some others cannot save everyone, but I struggle to think of better sources of practical advice on how to tackle and solve these problems and therefore how to prevent these kinds of shootings.

Some men are simply fundamentally broken beyond repair and even getting a girlfriend and/or sex is not going to help them, as like with the case of Elliot Rodger, it'll never live up to the delusional sense of entitlement and idea of how things "ought" to be that they have RE: sex and relationships.
